"Yuzu! What are you cooking?" Ichigo sniffed the air.
"Must be something special" Responded Rukia who was currently next to him.
"Ah! Ichi-Nii! Could you please put this cutlery in the table? And Rukia-Nee could you please taste test this for me?" Yuzu asked
"Sure!" Rukia answered contentedly, and turned and put her tongue out at Ichigo.
'Damn... Why can't I taste what she's cooking...? Stupid midget..." Ichigo thought irritatedly but smiled at how the 'midget' was back to his side once again.
And so he started fixing the cutlery.
'Wow. We must be having the queen over or Yuzu just made a feast for dinner!' Ichigo thought surprised.
The table was full of dishes and side dishes, looked like they were from a five star restaurant
Unexpected Ch. 1 -HitsuKarin I have to say, I kinda missed this place! said Renji as the five Soul Reapers skated over the rooftops of Karakura town. The War was finally over, and the Soul Reapers who had stayed in the living world prior to the battle were allowed a few weeks of rest to recuperate and visit the friends they had made. So Rangiku, Toushiro, Ikkaku, Yumichika, and Renji were all slipping through the night to their friends houses to stay for a couple of weeks and reunite before returning to the Soul Society. Rangiku was as excited as ever, eager to see Orihime after the ordeal, as well as Rukia, who was staying with Ichigo at the time being. Ikkaku was a little disinterested but welcomed the break. Yumichika, aside from wanting to accompany his friend was determined to get some beauty rest. Renji wanted to see Ichigo and Rukia, and Captain Hitsugaya was forcibly dragged by Rangiku, or so it would seem. All of the fuss he put up would lead and normal person to bUnexpected Ch. 1 -HitsuKarin6 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This

Karin gave the soccer ball a high bump into the air with her knee, letting it come down into her hands. For about the billionth time in the last half hour, she looked around the soccer field to find it empty.
She rolled her eyes and continued. 45 46 47

And he was always late.

"What's with the sighing, Karin?" A suave voice called from behind her. Karin turned around to see, none other than Toshirou Hitsugaya. Her savior from her childhood. But this time he looked different. Toshirou's hair was longer, he definitely got taller. But what didn;t change were his eyes. Those beautiful teal eyes that karin would lose herself in whenever she looked through them.
"Hey, you. What's up?"
"Nothing. Really. Hinamori and Matsumoto forced me to take a vacation. So I ended up here." Toshirou shrugged.
"Oh. Well, I'm not sleepy, let's go to the field and kick around." Karin got off her bed, threw on her jacket, and grabbed her soccer ball. Toshirou smiled and swooped Karin into his arms. She threw him a questioning look.
"It'll be faster if I use shunpo. Hold on tight." Toshirou demanded. Karin nodded and gripped his shirt. In two seconds flat, they were in

Today was a real important day in Karin's Calendar.
Today she and her team were playing in the finals of the soccer season.
And as any finals, Winner takes all. Well, the trophy, medals and the sense of victory in a nutshell.
But she couldn't wait.
Karin was pumped; she and her team were really psyched about this and had practiced for weeks. Being the captain of the 1st year's High school Soccer team was never easy, but with her experience and love for the sport it made It enjoyable or her.
"Today's the day!" Karin y

Though they were betting their lives on that fact.
Only Renji was brave enough to do what he did, go as far as he went. When Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji discovered the Captain, sound asleep, Renji immediately snatched up Kon and placed him between Toushiros arm and body. What nobody expected was that he grabbed it in his sleep and held it tighter. Kon, fearing his life might be in danger, had enough sense to stay quiet as Ichigo snapped several digital pictures.
Karin walked in as Renji, who was obviously attempting some strange, complicated version of suicide, was drawing a mustache on Toushiros lip in pink magic marker.
When he wakes up and rips out your hair by the roots then makes you eat it, Im going to laugh, she said. She was followed by her sister, Yuzu, who had already been informed of the existence of Soul Reapers. Their father had also revealed his past as s Soul Reaper to them. Yuzu knew Tous

Karin watched, awestruck, as the hollow which had towered above her just moments ago shattered, chips of ice raining down around her. But she didn't notice. Her entire focus was on the figure before her, he seemed older than before, as though the change in his appearance had brought out another side of him.
She knew that to anyone else he would have been terrifying, but as he reached his hand down to her, nothing but concern in his eyes, she knew she had no reason to fear him. He was just another boy, it didn't matter that he was a shinigami, or that he could kill her with just one cut of his sword.
Because she knew that he couldn't.
She had gotten to know him; she knew that his heart, his soul, wouldn't let him harm her. He was too good to do something like that. He would never harm an innocent.
She grasped his hand gratefully and he pulled her up gently as she looked over to her friends, who were just starting to wake up. "Don't worry" said Toshiro quietly
HitsuKarin - Journey - P3Eventually, the train passengers began to dwindle, until there were only about nine or ten in the car, including Toshiro himself, and the finally relocated Karin Kurosaki.HitsuKarin - Journey - P35 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
She was sitting on the other end of the train car, in one of the seats. She was hugging her knees, and keeping her heels balanced on the edge of her seat. Toshiro couldn't see her face, because it was buried into her knees, but he had a feeling he wouldn't be able to stomach the hurt he had inflicted in just the few words he had spoken in anger to her.
Way to go, Toshiro, he told himself, Way to mess up a perfectly fine day out.
He watched her from afar. Twice he gathered up the courage to go over to her, and twice he chickened out at the last moment not knowing what he would say to her. So he stood uncomfortably on the other end of the train car, just observing her.
Finally, Karin's feet dropped off the chair and back onto the floor, revealing to Toshiro that she had in fact, fallen asleep.

and don't know why.
Hold on tight, wait 'til tomorrow,
you'll be alright.
Karin asked herself again why she was there. In the human world she'd done everything possible to ignore or remove the effects of her high spiritual energy - seeing spirits, fighting hollows, she didn't want any of it. She wasn't her brother, and where as he felt the compassion to save every lost and lonely soul out there, they scared her, she felt their pain too much and it became her own, which only lead her to become angry at herself and her lack of care. So why the hell had she enrolled in the Shinigami Academy?
Oh yeah, because the real world sucked. As a child being a tomboy had suited her like the stars to the night - guys were simple, they were funny and they liked playing football. They didn't try to do pretty things in your hair that left it in knots, or plaster you in play make up but at high school life got harder. Suddenly it was awkward playing sport with t

"Karin-chan! You're home!" Karin heard as she quickly raised her leg so that her father's chin could have a close encounter with her foot.
"Enough of that Goat Chin, aren't you tired of that yet?"
"Oh Masaki! Our daughter is so cruel," Karin sweat dropped as Isshin, predictably, ran to the over sized poster of her mother, crying like a little baby as he did.
"Honestly dad, I would have thought you'd learn your lesson by now." She sighed and walked to the kitchen where Yuzu was just pulling a batch of buns out of the oven.
"Mmmmm, those smell delicious Yuzu."
Yuzu smiled sweetly at her, "Thank you Karin, they're meat buns for dinner."
Karin looked at how many buns there were, "That seems like more than we can eat though."
Yuzu placed her hand behind her head and laughed a little embarrassed, "Yeah, I think I got a little carried away today with the food."
"Hmmmm," Karin got a thoughtful look on her face.
"Huh? What are you thinking of Karin?"
Just Raking the LeavesIt was a beautiful autumn day in Karakura town; the air wasn't to cool or to warm, it was just perfect. The Birds were chirping a beautiful tune and the leaves were turned red, pink, green, orange, yellow, and brown. This girl's name was Kurosaki Karin, a 15 year old at Karakura high school; she was average looking, or maybe a little prettier than average. She had silky black hair tied up into a loose ponytail leaving out a few strands of hair that framed her heart shaped face. Her mouth was stuck into a permanent scowl, and her nose was scrunched up, like she had smelt something bad and her eyes were a deep violet color, so dark in fact that it looked black.
"Miss Kurosaki, you have to stop this erratic behavior" said the principal; he was fat, bald, and single.
"What erratic behavior sir" Karin asked innocently
"Sneaking out of school to go and play soccer" he answered

The sun was beginning to set, street lamps were turning on, parents were calling their children inside from playing, and joggers were jogging. Yep, it was just another normal day in Karakura, home of the largest amount of spiritual pressure in the World of The Living. Well, all was normal except for one short boy with white, gravity defying hair walking down the street. Some children stared at the boy, astonished by his odd hair style and color, as he walked passed them and down the street.
This white haired boy was none other than Hitsugaya Toushiro, taichou of Squad 10 and wielder of the most powerful ice zanpakuto in all of the Soul Society, Hyourinmaru, and he was heading to a small house owned by a small, kind elderly woman where he was going to meet her and a raven haired girl.
On the way there, he was grumbling under his beath. "D*mn Kurosaki being so overprotective." He was r

Summary: Summer heat can be unbearable, but if you grit your teeth and endure it one can learn to overlook the heat to see the best in even the worst situations.
The day was set to be a scorcher. The sky was clear, bringing no relief to the endless heat that plagued Karakura Town. Those that had the luxury of air conditioning had suddenly found themselves with dozens of requests from friends who had none. The local swimming centres were packed full of families determined to get out of their hot houses and out to some place that was hopefully not as warm. The heat was forecast to last at least another week, creating despair for those who despised the heat.
A whole week? a young girl groaned, currently flattened out on the tiles floor directly under her air conditioner wearing little more than a white tank top and a pair of light grey shorts. I hate summer heat!
Swiping the drink bottle of the edge of the table, she spr
Valentine's Day"I hate Valentine's Day!" Here comes the yearly rant Toushiro's prepared himself for. It's so unfair!"Valentine's Day4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Toushiro just nodded as he let his friend continue her rant. He knew that if he just let her complain, she'd eventually want to play soccer to vent out her anger, not that he didn't agree with her because he did. Why should only one of the genders be forced to give the other chocolate? And then there was the fact that all the girls in his class -excluding the one ranting now- would try to impress him with weird looking chocolate that's supposed to be fancy or chocolate imported from a foreign country while flirting with him. Man he hated Valentine's Day.
He didn't even like chocolate. Unlike most middle schoolers, he didn't have a sweet tooth. The only sweet he ever liked was ama-notto. The delicious bean shaped candy that came in ma

"Ichigo!!! Come on, it's almost time for us to go!!" Tatsuki yelled up at Ichigo as she folded her arms that were encased in a deep red satiny shirt that matched perfectly with her black slacks.

She waited for a little while not hearing anything coming down the brown carpeted stairs that led to the second story, "I don't hear you coming. I thought girls were supposed to be the ones that take forever."

Ever since Karin’s hair was long enough, she’d started pulling it back behind her head in a high ponytail. She told her friends it was to keep her hair out of the way while they played Soccer, which was only half-true.
The real reason was because of her mother. Or rather, a picture of her mother she’d found lying in the hall beside her father’s room. Isshin had dropped the picture while “spring cleaning” the room, and Karin had taken advantage of the moment and hid it in her back pant pocket until she could hide it in the desk drawer of her room.
It was a faded photograph; her mother looking around Karin’s age. Karin had always secretly resented the fact that none of her features resembled her mother’s. Yuzu was the picture-perfect replica of her mother, while Karin, to her personal misfortune, looked like a female version of her father. By copying her mother’s hairstyle, a tiny sprig of hope welled

Above an empty football field a five year old black haired little girl named Kurosaki Karin sat on a grassy hill with a sidewalk and railing behind her, holding her legs against her, her face in her knees, crying her eyes out.
Until about a quarter hour ago, she had been in the field below trying to kick a football around the field. But her little legs just couldn’t handle the new activity and she constantly fell.
She had seen the bigger kids kick around the same kind of ball in a field like this and it looked like so much fun, but she couldn’t understand why she couldn’t do it like they did.
Then while she was still hid her face in her knees she hears an icy boyish voice above her, “Why are you crying?”
She gasped and looked up. Standing over her was a boy that seemed to be about her age, but the strange thing was that his hair was white, and had striking turquoise eyes.
