"Only the dead have seen the end of war."
Desert of Glass
Tuesday, 12:23 pm
A few years have passed since Cadaver joined the New Lunar Republic and there is now a full scale war between the Solar Empire and the New Lunar Republic. Along the way, Cadaver has witnessed war on the front lines. He has seen ponies die, and he has even killed. On this day he is part of a scouting party, searching ahead to make sure that it is clear for the rest of the forces in that area.
A blazing sun is beating down on an NLR scouting party in the Desert of Glass. Sand as far as the eye can see, reflecting the suns light making it seem like it has a light of its own. Crossing the same desert is a Solar Empire scouting party, trudging along in the heat. Neither side is aware of the other. And neither, are expecting what is about to happen.
"Hey lieutenant, are we almost there? We`ve been walking for hours," complained a light blue mare.

Like a ghost in the brush
My voice in a hush
I crawl in the dirt
And disregard the hurt
All day I lay
With nothing to say
I keep still
Even if I feel ill
So now I wait
The sun I hate
I look down my sight
And adjust for the height
I am here for one thing
And once you hear the ring
My barrel will be hot
`Cause I just got my kill shot

People don't care about me, nowadays. Well, I don't care about them either.
I see everything.
I hear everything.
I see you.
But I don't care anymore.
I see you and I hear you and I do not speak.
You see me but you don't see me and that's why you do speak.
I don't care about you. I don't care about them. I don't care about anything anymore.
Oh, wait. I care about me.
I am everything. More precisely, I am the center of everything.
I birthed you once. One of you.
I will kill you someday. All of you.
You are destroying me. Some of you.
And so I will destroy you. All of you.
I don't care about you, but I care about me, and you don't.
You rage and destroy and burn me, you dirty and pollute everything around me. I don't even have to do anything.
Wait just a little bit, and you will destroy yourselves.
But I'm not patient enough to wait that long.
run, run, as fast as you can.
you can't run away, not if you're human.

"Oooh," said the curious white mare, "What's in here?"
As the white mare with a golden mane with deep blue eyes walked up to the basket covered in a blanket she grew all the more curious. She paused in mid step as something under the blanket moved. At that, she quickly walked up to the basket and pulled the blanket off.
"Oh dear oh dear oh dear," she said to herself, not noticing the wings on the baby foal, "Who would such a horrible thing?"
She started to take the baby out of the basket, taking off the blindfold and the other bindings. When she did, that's when she saw the wings flutter a little. Now she understood why.
"Oh my," said in a sad tone, "Even if he is different it is still no reason to do this, and to a foal none the less."
When she finished taking off all the bindings the foal looked up at the white mare; a scared look on its face. Right then she hugged him and decided that she was go
Phobia: Chapter OneThe class was weary, and Doge asleep. These medical lectures had always bored him, it was the practical side of medicine that he was interested in in helping other ponies. Of course, this could not be done without the theory but that didn't make it any less tedious. Mares and colts sat either side of him, above and below him, but they didn't notice him; they had grown accustomed to him, they knew this was his norm. Nevertheless, he still surprised these ponies at times; he done strange things in his sleep. There were times when he had snuggled with his text books, talked to them, kissed them even. Such behaviour had caused his lectures to give up hope for him. Sure he was naturally gifted in the art of applied medicine, but he just didn't have the patience, or will, to learn the theory behind it. This could potentially make for volatile situations. Regardless, the tutors didn't interfere. Doge had a, friend, in the College - an Alicorn by the name of Asclepius. An Accidental FallIt was a cloudy day in the forest and Cadaver was taking a walk to clear his mind from past events. As he was walking he felt a drop of rain hit his nose, so he started to make his way back home. On his way back he was a little sad because he thought he would see his friend Pins, since he hasn't seen her in a while he was a little worried. After walking for a while he came across a fallen tree which meant he was almost home, as he stepped over the tree he looked up to the broken down structure that was his house and saw Pins walk into it. He started to walk faster, not only because of the impending rain but also he wanted to see how Pins was doing. My Thoughts on Celestia and LunaAnd so we come to the two regal sisters themselves. Celestia and Luna, the Princesses of My Little Pony. Despite not being in the show so much, the little that these two characters have done is so big, both on and off screen, that I've come up with tons to write about, for better or for worse. My Thoughts on Celestia and Luna3 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
Let me start by addressing a particular complaint I came across when I first started watching the show. That issue is the fact that they're both Princesses in a land where no other form of royalty seems to exist. It was argued that because there are no older monarchs above them, like a king or something, that they should be called Queens instead of Princesses.
Well firstly, let me say right now that it is not unusual or unheard of for countries to be ruled by princes and princesses rather than kings or queens. These types of nations are known as principalities and while I'm not familiar with any such nations that exist at the moment, I do know that they were at one point fairly common in Europe,

"It truly is a lovely night, princess."
"Mmm. Indeed, it is. Then again, my sister has always been quite the artist."
"I don't know how she did it. Billions of stars, the entire sky--and she filled its entire expanse. If I'm not mistaken, then I'd say we're right under Monoceros, Canis Minor... And, ooh! There's Gemini right there!"
"Still as adamant about the cosmos as ever, are we, Twilight?"
"Of course. You remember when I was a filly; all the mornings you found me passed out underneath the castle's main telescope, using my sketchbook of poorly-drawn constellations as a pillow."
"Or all of the nights I caught you in the process of attempting to sneak into the observatory. At the time, your constant habit of staying up until the crack of dawn became somewhat infamous within the guards. And, if truth be told, I may or may not have allowed you get away with it once or twice."
"How scandalous, princess!"
"Haha. All for the greater goo
Phobia: IntroHe felt the cold steel of the wire cutters in his hooves. Such crude things wire cutters, using them in such a field as specific as medicine seemed wrong to him somehow. The room around him was dark, unusually so. A lone light flickered, on and off, in the middle of the room over the cadaver. The smell of sulphur filled his lungs, making him gag a little. This room made him feel uneasy; its metallic walls offering no safe haven or respite from the task ahead of him. Cutting through the flesh, he thought that would be the hardest part. Alas the steel scalpel, cold to the touch, cut through the mare with ease. Whilst doing this Dogezon had felt out of place, almost like he wasn't himself. He knew that possessing the skills of a Coroner and Doctor would help him bring home the bits, but he knew not if he wanted these skills. To cut open a pony, fiddle with their insides, and treat them with such inhumanity seemed immoral and unjust.Phobia: Intro3 years ago in Profiles More Like This

Princess Cadence, still in her wedding gown and hairstyle, was sitting comfortable in her wedding carriage. Her mind brimming with ideas about where it was they might be going.
She looked out of the window of her carriage, looking upon the countryside as they passed by. Tall grassy hills. Rivers and streams which glistened in the moonlight. It was without a doubt, a beautiful sight. She'd spent much of her life travelling around Equestria, visiting many places. But she'd never taken enough time to simple enjoy the places around her. Here thought, she had plenty of time to do so.
And the aforementioned moon was also impressive to behold. Auntie Luna had certainly outdone herself tonight. No doubt in an attempt to make their night perfect. It was something she kne

Love Is In Bloom
Princess Luna stared at the newly married couple who were dancing in the middle of the dance floor, surrounded by other couples swaying to the music. Luna had never felt happier, as this was her first wedding in over a thousand years. For a moment, she felt a pang of guilt, that she might have missed many weddings like this.
But then again, last time she had attended any royal weddings, they weren't this lively. Well, last time they didn't have Pinkie Pie. Last time, she was also a bit uptight. And a bit more tempered. But that was in the past. She felt quite proud that this party was being held, right under her night sky. It gave her the hope that she needed. The hope that everypony actually enjoyed her night!
She had learned from her mistakes, and now she was herse
My Thoughts on Rainbow DashMuch like with Pinkie Pie and Rarity, my opinion on Rainbow Dash, at least during the early episodes, was influenced by my initial exposure to her. When she frist came on screen I gained an opinion of her as being "the token tomboy", which was something which bothered me at first as we already seemed to have a character to fit that role with Applejack. So when Rainbow showed up my first reaction was, "don't we have one of these already?"My Thoughts on Rainbow Dash3 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
But much like the others my perception of her changed greatly overtime. This was not just a typical tomboy character. There were many aspects of her that broke out of that mould. Though unlike the others, the degree to which she broke out of her stereotype seemed less obvious.
Not only that, but much like Rarity and Pinkie Pie, I didn't really like her that much when I first started watching the show. However, unlike those other two, and I know this is going to earn me many MANY haters, I haven't grown to like Rainbow as much as I have with the others.

Have you always known that what you do is divine?
The horns and the wings you draw are so beautifully created
And these manes are designed with a grace that need not be stated
When I look at your works, warm feelings ensure

What horse-like figure has served as your muse?
Your tales and stories have always made my eyes shine
And your Equestrian poetry is nothing less than sublime
Your literature is great, but these words have meaning too

My Thoughts on RarityAnd now we come to our resident Fashionista, Rarity. My Thoughts on Rarity3 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
As you may remember from my previous entry, Rarity was another character I had issue with when I first started watching the show. However, my reasons for disliking her at the start were very different from the reasons I disliked Pinkie. In fact, looking back on the matter, my reasons for being against her seem almost petty, and something I'm no proud of.
You see, when I first started watching this show, I was assured that it wasn't the stereotypically girly show that it was back in the 80's. That all the tea parties, dresses and makeovers that characterised female-aimed cartoons had been exorcised completely in favour of something more gender-neutral and less likely to alienate one group or the other.
So with that mindset, I started watching. As you can imagine, when I first laid eyes on Rarity, heard her speak, saw what she was about at the start, I felt betrayed. This was exactly the kind of character I'd been told would not be in
