I shot this little panorama from the Lagazuoi Refuge, that is on the peak of Mount Lagazuoi above the Falzarego Pass (Dolomites).
I went there last summer, the path to reach this point was quite frightening because of the height, that day clouds covered everything and we had to climb very carefully if we didn't want to vanish into thin air. Luckily more than half of the track was indoor, because we chose to climb into the restored tunnels, trenches and emplacements where soldiers fought the first world war.
200m High canyon in this surreal moss landscape . I tried to stand in front of the picture to show you the size of the place but it's quite difficult to realize . You can also see other people from the workshop on the next hill .
I get questions all the time about what kind of equipment I use. This isn't quite all my gear but what consider my essentials to always have on any trip. (minus my Canon 5d body and Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens that I used to take this)
Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
Canon EF 14mm f/2.8L USM
Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Manfrotto Mag Fiber Tripod
Manfrotto 680 Monopod
2 Canon 580 Ex Speedlites
Canon Cable Shutter Release
Cokin "P" Filter Holder
The only thing i really need is a bigger telephoto. the 300 on a full frame sensor doesn't give you as much reach as youd think. I'll be getting a bigger one once i can save up a small fortune.
This is Hohenschwangau Castle in Baviera, near Munchen. I was very lucky that was a beautiful sunny day.. I was here for my school trip. A person said that this photo is too much "photoshopped". I've only adjusted curves and levels. Probably this person doesn't know what is a "polarizer filter" -.-
