Can you give a soul salvation? Can you give a soul salvation?3 years ago in Concrete Poetry More Like This
In the war with only night
In the shadows fearing light
One gives way to take respite
This the plea, he shall incite.
In the dark, he's lost in fright
Weary of the eternal plight
Singing that solemn lullaby,
Of the stars that have gone by.
Lost forever in the fight
From the danger and fright
Lacking will to neither live nor die
For them to strike he thus invites
Only a love from the days of old
Can stop the darkness taking hold
But his heart has grown so cold,
To decay, his body sold.
Who can offer him salvation?
Through the fear of annihilation?
Driven mad with isolation,
Can you save A souls temptation?
Who can off the love and light,
In the approaching dread of night?
In the coming of the swarm
Who can chase away the swarm?
From his death to his birth
Angels and demons war on earth
For whatever his soul is worth
Save this man from the markers words.

The two Surveyors made their way up to the console. Alexandra made it up first, climbing over the side and making her way to the supervisor. Robert angrily climbed up by himself, visibly upset that Alexandra wasn't there to help him up.
"Good work," the Supervisor said as he looked at the console, "We're getting a clear image. The engineers are currently moving the loader. Altman be praised at their progress. They are just barely ahead of schedule."
Robert got a good look at the screen. Sam Caldwell was currently pulling the loader on the track using his Kinesis Module. The Marker seemed to be glowing slightly brighter as the loader was brought in close.
"This is Cooper to Maxwell. You reading me, surveyors? Over."
Maxwell raised his right arm and punched the button on his comms module. A hologram vidscreen revealed the face of an engineer on the other side.

They say silence is golden.
But, we humans are not accustomed to true silence, as much as we may be unwilling to admit it.
The hum of a cooling fan. The rush of the tides. The roar of traffic from beyond the apartment's walls. The beating of our hearts. The puff of breaths, chest falling in and out, the creak of leather against a pilot's seat. The buzz of electronics, the roar of the C02 scrubbers. The sound of the stars themselves, twinkling, a manifestation of billion year old light reaching my eyes.
I found comfort in those quiet moments. But I did not know what silence was, I realize that now. True silence steals. It mars, it takes, and leaves nothing but a primal, unexplainable terror.
The fires have been extinguished by Tau Volantis. The baleful moaning of the red-hot shuttle chassis being therm

The Guidelines Of WarWritten about the firsthand accounts of Navy SEAL Petty Officer First Class Marcus Luttrell during Operation Redwing in Afghanistan on 28 June 2005, showing the uselessness of the Geneva Conventions when the opposing force do not take after the Conventions themselves. Three of the four Navy SEALs on his team were killed in action due to the vote on letting three goat-herders go, instead of killing them, after they were discovered. The choice was based on the fear of the liberal media labeling them as murderers and resulting in imprisonment of four of our finest service-members; the choice got MOH-recipient Michael P. Murphy and Navy Cross recipients Matthew Axelson and Danny Dietz killed. Luttrell was also awarded the Navy Cross for selflessness in the line of combat. The Guidelines Of War5 years ago in Settings More Like This

There are some days when I regret my choice of profession. I've lost count of the vacations and leisure trips that have been interrupted by the call of duty; what good is earning money if you never have the time to spend it? At least it seems the Galactic Federation has finally found a good reason to pull me away from my R&R; a Space Pirate fleet has been spotted traveling through Federation territory. It was hard to miss them; the Pirates had deployed several dozen ships of varying sizes. While this alone was enough to send the Federation into full-on panic mode, the Pirate fleet's behavior is even more disconcerting; it has repeatedly ignored Federation colonies and installations during its exodus. Even the vulnerable, certainly appealing targets have been passed up in favor of their app

Delta Squad remained in the weapons training room even after the others had left, uncomfortable with waiting while there was a mystery waiting to be solved on "Planet StarChild". It was named "StarChild" after it appearing out of no where two months ago. No known inhabitants, parents, environment all seemed native to those who saw it. Out of curiosity (and precaution), the Delta squad was to be sent as an investigation team to gain information on this "unknown rock"... But for now, the team was to wait as instructed by Gabe (a male scientist who assisted in the making of the clones) while he brought out "Their new team member".
Sev (RC-1207) used this wasted time of waiting to his advantage by attacking holographic droids. Scorch (RC-1162) and Fixer (RC-1140) sat on near by crates while the Delta Squad team leader, Boss or 38(RC-1138) paced anxiously.
Dead Space - LaughterA seedy motel on the outskirts of Mars Capita was the last place Isaac ever expected to find himself "living" in - and yet, here he was, a fugitive on the run, groaning as the Martian sunrise hit his face. He shifted in the creaky twin-sized bed, irritated that his long-awaited good night's rest had been so rudely interrupted. Isaac didn't notice it when he first walked up to the mirror over the sink - only after he had vigorously rubbed the sleep from his eyes did he see a giant penis d

All alone was I
Because of my who I'd come to be
Others only stared
Then it began to storm
Salt tears on fresh rain
I fell off my roof
Sure soon to feel more pain
You caught me without harm
Even in the awful beating
Of the thundering rain
All the tourment of lonelyness
And all my inside pain
Your my sheild and Coat of Arms
My flag to show the way
After all the awful things I said
Even closer now you stay
And my heart this Rooftop Storm tonight
Forever will be warmed
By a fire I'll never let fade

yes I have been there before and it starts over w/ each person you\'re w/ b/c everyone likes diff things. Best thing to keep in mind is to
-HAVE FUN... JOKE AROUND in a good non hurtful way
-talk about things you guys know you like and do not like esp do nots
some people have parts of their body they are sensitive about... ask her... and try not to focus on those parts but do show them love if she allows.
-when you are w/ someone esp. someone you love... if you or they have been abused in some way... held down or hurt in some way w/ some one the more vaulnerable you get w/ someone the more these things may come up. you wouldn\'t want her and she wouldn\'t want you to flash back and not tell you or be put through something they can\'t take.
-a good way to help this out is to have a STOP word like \"k baby\" or just pull one another in to a hug postion and let her know that this will be TOTALLY ok... before anything happens... reasuring is the key.

If it was
Do you think anyone would pick it?
I mean, come on.
You'd totally choose to be an outcast

Mistreated and scared
Not knowing how any single person might react
A friend might turn on you
A parent could kick you out
Your sibling could hate you
Any random person could beat you up

Sangheili, a strong and noble race,
Masters of battle, on land and in space.
They were once a race unknown.
Though very mighty, they were alone.
Till the Prophets arrived, bringing war.
Their mighty weapons, hard to ignore.
Both races fought a mighty duel,
But losses were high, the fighting cruel.
This was a battle which couldnt be won.
A great new alliance had just begun.
The Sangheili established numerous legions,
Whose power was used to take many regions.
More holy relics they had to claim,
That was their most important aim.
The Covenant Empire continued to expand,
Aided by races from each conquered land.
The Sangheili became a great warrior class,
Leading other races, deployed en masse.
The prophet leaders continued to preach,
About the Great Journey the Covenant would reach.
But these claims, told by every minister,
Ignored a truth, far more sinister.
These truths would not be found,
Till the Covenant gained more ground.
A war would ha

The Greatest Feeling in the World</i>
I have a memory,
One full of feeling,
Of joy and elation;
It is a simple thing,
Intimate and tender;
It fills my heart,
With thoughts of her,
With laughter and happiness,
With tenderness and love;
It is a small thing,
But of such deep meaning,
Of such deep feeling:
The love, joy, and freedom I felt,
When I held her hand,
When I kissed her lips,
When I ran into her arms,
The greatest feeling in the world,
Is holding her tightly in my arms,
And knowing we share something special.
There is nothing wrong with this,
I loved her,
And thoughts of her to this day,
Warm my heart.
When a man and a woman share this connection,
When they love and hold each other tenderly,
When thoughts of their kisses quicken their hearts,
Smiles and praise are sent their way;
But two women?
How could this be?
How could their love possibly equate
To the love a man and a woman can share?
I can answer this,
Simply look into my heart,
Youll see the ans

The key to what we left behind,
Hidden deep within the dark,
A single final glowing spark,
Our perfect everlasting mark,
Buried safely on the Ark.
But first we had to end it all,
And death incarnate - had to stall,
So we stood there side by side,
To stop the unrelenting tide,
Holding back the endless Flood,
That sought to taste creations blood.
And so the rings we did ignite,
To burn it all and end the fight,
It purged the worlds and all their skies,
And brought about our own demise.
I'm sad I caused the decimation,
Of every species - every nation,
Yet I pray you stand our station,
Loyal guards to all-creation.

Wear me down even at my best,
They're dragging me through a downwards hole,

The scars are reminders that I remain unchanged,
I'm withering away in this endless game.
You understand this more than anyone else does,
Having witnessed the triumph of unattainable love,
Yet the faith that you pour into my soul,
Is so much more than I can convey,
Although you trust that things can change,
Haven't you noticed that I've remained the same?
The wails and moans that rise from the dark,

Samus had remembered that area, the Luminoths final defensive position before the Fortress generator. The door on the right wall had been blocked, and when she mentioned it to U-Mos, he had assured her that his people had already cleared away the debris, and that there would be an elevator on the other side which could take her down into the storage area. Descending the lift into the courtyard itself, she recalled the battle that had taken place in this rooms Dark Aether mirror. Taking the designs for their Quad sentry robots to the next level, the Luminoth had begun designing a massive war machine that could help them defend the Fortress. The giant four-legged walker was dubbed Quadraxis, but the Fortress fell to the Ing before Quadraxis could be completed.
