Delta Squad remained in the weapons training room even after the others had left, uncomfortable with waiting while there was a mystery waiting to be solved on "Planet StarChild". It was named "StarChild" after it appearing out of no where two months ago. No known inhabitants, parents, environment all seemed native to those who saw it. Out of curiosity (and precaution), the Delta squad was to be sent as an investigation team to gain information on this "unknown rock"... But for now, the team was to wait as instructed by Gabe (a male scientist who assisted in the making of the clones) while he brought out "Their new team member".
Sev (RC-1207) used this wasted time of waiting to his advantage by attacking holographic droids. Scorch (RC-1162) and Fixer (RC-1140) sat on near by crates while the Delta Squad team leader, Boss or 38(RC-1138) paced anxiously.

Rainbow Dash stalked out of her house, muttering to herself angrily. It was the night after Applejack had shouted at her for asking for her love, and the day hadn't gotten any better since. She saw, way down on the ground, Applejack running out of the library, and gave a pained smirk. "Look at that... AJs running back to her precious Trixie now is she? Huh. What a surprise."
As she muttered to herself angrily about the oddities of CERTAIN FILLYS and how they could SOMEHOW resist the Dash, she didn't notice her slow and unintended descent- at least, she didn't until she crashed into Twilight's treehouse library. "Oh, horsefeathers", said Dash angrily. The day just wasn't going well for her.
Twilight galloped up to the crash zone, where she found the cyan filly lying in the tree. "Rainbow Dash..." she said to herself, tutti

Happy Holidays, my angsty friend!
I know, I know. Holidays? you are wondering. What are those? Happy? pfft. No such thing. Not any more. Well, the annual winter days of celebration are upon us, whether you recognize them or not. And happiness can come in any size or shape.
Take, for example, the box sitting before you now. Wrapped in silver foil. (More resistant to heat.) Held closed by a thin silk ribbon, shiny black. (A color we have in common, hmm?) I tied it myself. Yes, my fingers are working again; thanks for asking. A couple of years of therapy and all of my limbs now move as I wish them to. Zach may have won that battle, but I won the war. See. It does happen. If we want it to. But, man, we have to REALLY want it. We have to decide to want it. Thats just a little free advice from one whos been there to one who thinks too much and acts too little. Take it or leave it, Ahren. No charge.
But back to my real gift. S

Her words echoed in his mind. His arms held out away from him and his head up, he looked similar to the crucified image of christ. His hair was shaggy and tangled, and tears were dried on his face. He tilted his head back slightly and looked upward. "If only I had known..." he whispered. "If only I had been smarter...not blinded by love..."
"Silence!" The word rang throughout the large room. He winced and his eyes began to tear up once again. "Yes, mistress..." he whimpered. Shivers ran through his body as her laughter flowed from above.
His left arm jerked upward and he winced the familiar tugging pain in his palm. He glanced at his hand and saw the nearly invisible string going upwards. The connecting wound had begun to bleed again. His

Five years later Shepard and Ashley walked through the Afterlife bar on Omega, the music was loud and Shepard could see in Ashley's face that she didn't like the music, "I don't know why the council could just us what our mission is," Ashley said, "I mean why do we have to come to this place and talk to that Asari."
"Aria isn't too bad," Shepard said, "you just have to know how not to get on her bad side."
"Still why do we have to report to her," Ashley insisted.
"Aria hold power over the Asari councillor," Shepard said, "during the Reaper invasion she asked the Asari councillor to take care of the fact that she never officially registered coming to the Citadel. The councillor did it like as if she was Aria's slave."
"So you mean that the Asari councillor is corrupt?" Ashley said shocked.
"Maybe," Shepard said, "but it does show how much pull Aria has even on the Citadel."
They approached the area that Aria was in, just before they turn

OK a lot of nice people have written to me saying they want to learn how to do what I do and was wondering if I can share some secrets over NOTEs.
I don't want to seem like I'm blowing off you guys who are noobs to the Prop making but there are a few things you need to know before you waste money and time to find out this is not what you had in mind. So this is me giving you a basic picture of what it is like - in words.
First thing you guys need to know is "Prop Making" deals with making REAL LIFE PHYSICAL PROPS THAT ARE MADE WITH CHEMICALS AND A LOT OF MONEY COSTING MATERIALS THAT COULD BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH. We make Real Things that can be seen and touched. We are not making drawings or concept art or some imaginary thing. So anything that is physical will need a lot of production time, creative skill, mental energy and a Whole Lotta materials!
Materials cost money:

Commander John Shepard was lying on the couch in what he would call his new apartment, but after the events in the Bahak system, it was nothing more than a lavish prison to him. His home was just an ear shot's away from the Alliance headquarters on Earth, located in hustling and bustling Vancouver, of the United North American States. Lots of tall buildings and lovely patios for those who either had great Alliance connections, or really knew how to get the best in life. Shepard was not one of those people. Although, judging by his current living status, you would not think that. A large condo with snow white walls and floor, lamps giving off a calm blue light, bed and couch made out of special memory foam, working kitchen filled with food of the highest caliber, and furniture that would put the designs of the now extinct Ikea to shame. But all of that meant absolutely nothing to Shepard. After all, all the riches in the world couldn't make up for the l

"This bachelor party can now start because I am now here!" Joker called out as he hobbled into the Mess. It was the night before Shepard's wedding day. The moment Joker found out it was over. Joker had argued bitterly with the females to let the bachelor party be on the Normandy. He had finally won when he pulled his trump card. He was a cripple that couldn't travel outside the Normandy. A dirty trick but Joker got what he wanted.
Colin watched Joker go straight to the dancers that Zaeed hired. Most of the crew was drunk. Colin didn't drink a drop for several reasons. First being he knew that if he was drunk one of the dancers would try to get him to bed. He had already been approached by all but two of the dancers. The second reason was that he had stopped drinking when one of his crew drank himself to death after Eden Prime.

Colin was nervous. Who wouldn't be in his place? In his hand he held the key to his future. He held the key to his eternal happiness. Heh, it was so small but it was going to change his and another's life. In his hand is the ring to make Tali his. Holding it up to the light he became mesmerized by the way it sparkled. Much like his soon-to-be Quarian. Of course he was going to have to get it customized to her size or maybe figure out a different way for her to wear it. As he rolled the ring back and forth between his fingers he noticed that something was inscribed on the inner part of the ring. It didn't surprise him one bit. He had gone everywhere trying to find the right ring but ended up finding the ring in a pawn shop of all places. Bringing the ring closer to his eye, he hoped it said something powerful and romantic. Staring through the glass window, Edward examined the specimen. It was a creature that was about the size of a full grown human, and looked like one too. But it wasn't. Edward watched as the creature jumped from tree branch to tree branch. It made loud howls as it jumped. This was a Hunter. Three people stood behind Edward, taking notes on the creature.
"This Hunter used to be a man. Aged around his early twenties, he was infected by a dog." Edward said to the three young people. "Examinations showed that the body we found near him in an apartment was that of his sister. This is proof that the infection won't hold back on anyone!" Edward looked over to the group. They were all busy taking notes.
"How long did it take for him to become infected?" One of the students asked. Edward looked at her briefly.
"We've estimated that for a Hunter transformation, it takes only a few hours to change. We've concluded that this Hunter was holding out with his sister before infection, and o

Edward patiently waited for the Hunter to strike. He's observed their attack patterns so many times that he knows how they strike. First, the Hunter will take him out, then right as they make contact; the Smoker's going to pull the hazmat guy.
"Any second now." Edward waited. Josh, Bridget, and Ahmed all looked worriedly as they yet again waited for their mentor to be ripped apart. The Hunter quickly screeched and leaped into the air, about to land on Edward. Bridget and Ahmed closed their eyes, but Josh just kept watching.
"Now!" Edward shouted, to no one in particular. He pulled the trigger on the smoke machine and sprayed the Hunter with smoke. The Hunter crashed in front of Edward and scrambled to get back on its feet. About to go for another pounce, the Hunter was stopped in its tracks.
Shocked, Josh watched as the Smoker's tongue lashed out and caught the Hunter. The Smoker started pulling it closer, and then started hugging and cuddling the hooded infected.

"Okay, okay, this is a good one - hey, are you listening? Hey, listen!"
"If we listen," the normally silent Vampire Lord murmured, shuffling the five cards in his hand with surprising dexterity, "Will you shut up?"
"Hey," Tyrel frowned, his bottom lip almost pouting, "That's not very nice." He paused, considering, "And its not like I'm even really that noisy or anything."
"Aren't you supposed to be part snake?" Zephier's voice echoed in their minds, dry and raspy, skin blue-grey and highly translucent. He was arranging his hand as well, though with the use of his mind as his body was not solid enough to physically move things; the cards floated before his body, his hands relaxed on the table, "You are noisy. I would think a Naga to be a silent, deadly predator, not some babbling loud mouth."
"That's not very nice either."

Love God Yet Hate His Followers?(1/13/2013)Love God Yet Hate His Followers?2 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
I've been seeing this statement going around from non-Christians as well as people who claim to be Christian. And it's especially troubling coming from people who claim to be Christian. So here I've decided to write about it.
Is it really possible to "love God yet hate His followers" (or other people for that matter)? Can you be a Christian and hate other people, including other Christians?
The short answer is NO.
And no, this is not an opinion. Any person who claims to be Christian ought to know what the two greatest commandments are:
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul

“This is who you really are.”
A grittier, angrier version of Solus’ own voice echoed in the darkness. However, Solus was aware that he was asleep. He knew what he was hearing and seeing wasn’t real. He just couldn’t seem to wake up.
“This is just a dream,” He kept repeating to himself, ignoring the images that flashed around him. One depicted Solus at a young age, before the tragedy that killed his family. The next instant, an image of a young Solus on his knees appeared, tears streaming down his face as he looked on at the blaze that engulfed his home.
The disembodied voice suddenly grew angry and spat out the words as though they left a bad taste in its mouth, “Why weren’t you at home when the fire started, Solus?”
“This is just a dream,” He repeated to himself, more desperately and gritting his teeth. The voice had no particular source still, as far as he could tell. Solus looked around. The images had changed.

Some funny rules that strangely apply to 'Doctor Who'
#1. No alien being made of metal (and very few of flesh and blood) will be killed by an assault rifle.
In fact, weapons that fire anything over one round a second are probably dead weights. (On the other hand, a beam weapon that fires only one shot, or any improvised weapons like mistletoe, a fire extinguisher, or a telescope, will be entirely effective.)
Send the assault rifles to Col. Shepard, 1 Atlantis Avenue, Pegasus Galaxy (postal codes at Atlantis have 8 Stargate Chevrons). They'll work there, and he's probably run out of ammo since you started reading.
#2. Beware Ten to the Power of One!
If the villain launches an attack with monsters, the targets will survive if their numbers are either less than 10 (the Doctor and companions, plus important characters of the week) or greater than 100 (innocent alien populations, the human rac

The artificial grass crunched underfoot as Tali'Zorah landed, her knees bent to absorb the impact of the drop from the presentation platform above. It wasn't as soft as it looked, the verdant surface hiding a solid, unyielding core below. Tali's tired muscles protested at the strain but as she had done so many times recently, the quarian forced her body's complaints out of her head. The persistent drone of unattended alarms ringing through the council chambers was interrupted by the sound of a second figure joining her and Tali felt warmly reassured by the presence of the turian at her side. Despite the seriousness of their assignment she held back a smile, thinking back to the cautious manner with which she'd first treated Garrus Vakarian and how different things were now. So many things were different now, she knew. Tali had once thought that her adventures with Krovak Torr and Ren'Gerrel would end u

Today was such an amazing day! That is, as far as work goes anyway. We were finally able to get the cooling system on the prototype FA-23 plasma rifle working just like we wanted it to. Gee, it's hard to think about how long we've been tinkering on just the cooling system alone! I still remember that close call in the lab a while back when Ms. Owen almost burned herself when the thing overheated! I'm glad no one got hurt, plasma burns can be pretty nasty..
It's been about 5 q-intervals I think since Ms. Owen started "showing." Her belly has gotten so big, it actually amazes me a little.. I've never seen anyone pregnant before, not even another Vortian! I actually asked her one time if it hurt or anything, she said it didn't but that she does feel sick some of the time.. that I've already seen first hand.. But I do think she looks awfully cute with that big ol' belly of
PerfectionDoes sight exist not to see, or hearing not to hear?Perfection3 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
So too does existence not exist to achieve imperfection but rather perfection. More still, existence tends towards perfection and not imperfection.
This idea is scoffed at in many ways, one being this: reality cannot be anything other than 'it is.' I.e., nature's imperfections is reality's perfection. We cannot speak of ideal perfection for we do not know it. We cannot know it. Nothing exists beyond 'it is.'
What these ones do not recognize is that every motion is a motion "for" or "towards" some end. Every motion either does not achieve that end or achieves that end in degrees of perfection.
Unconscious, we may feel like we act with no purpose or that all happens around us without purpose. Yet, this is where we must look inward at ourselves: who do I want to become? In what manner am I becomming that person?
We may be surprised that the end we desire is not the one we are moving towards. We may, at times, be surprised by the low, im
