OKAY – So what's the deal, what do we want?
The image attached are the proportions we want, it's not quite CHIBBI proportions – as an example, look up the artwork for "Super puzzle Fighter" – many Street Fighter enthusiasts will know where we are going with this. Okay, so those are the proportions we want – what about the rest?
Imagine the most twisted zombie you can think of and that's what we want, but in a semi-cute fashion. Recently, in the latest episode i

..WELL! (400 watchers celebration! + Raffle!).........well,..WELL! (400 watchers celebration! + Raffle!)8 months ago in Personal More Like This
Four hundred people.
I don't really know what to say anymore, I was celebrating 300 watchers not long ago and we're already at 400 now.....that kinda blows my weird, shifted mind :l
I didnt think I was gonna come this far as I joined dA a few months ago, but well, here we are!
And if you ask me, yeah, this definitely tickles my fancy!
I once again have no words to describe how happy and grateful I am. I know everyone always says that, but I really mean it.
I'll now leave a blank space so you'll have to pause for a second, during which you can imagine me melting of happiness and genuine confusion.
So yeah, now that Rabbit is trying to shape my pudding-reduced body into the pineapple it was before, I have time to thing what I could do to celebrate...
..And of course! I'm still gonna hold a raffle, like I usually do :3
So lets take care of it right away, shall we? *insert unnecessarily huge title below:*
The Writer's Diary v2.0____________________________________________________The Writer's Diary v2.02 years ago in Personal More Like This
My favourite poem ever :-
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action --
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
BLANK - Opening Animatic 1.0 -ONLINE- + DDThis is the thing I've been working on the last two weeks.BLANK - Opening Animatic 1.0 -ONLINE- + DD2 months ago in Personal More Like This
It's imperfect, some transitions are weird and there still are a few placeholder images - But that's why it's called Version 1.0.
Absolutely going to change the things I am unsatisfied with somewhen later; Just had to stick to the Deadline with this first Version, that's why I had to rush through some scenes. Much blood, sweat and tears are contained in this animatic.
Anyway I hope you like it ; u ; It's going to become a 2D animation and my Bachelor Thesis Project |'D ♥
Updated - 25.01.2014
Thank you guys for all the feedback, it's so overwhelming to see how many people enjoyed the Animatic! I've never thought so many of you would like it nor did I expect as much feedback as I got! Q_____Q
I am just so... happy and glad, that the amount of work I put into it paid off! I just can't describe my feelings properly, but your comments, favourites, likes and so on make me extraordinary happy
How to Stock 3- Playing a CharacterWelcome to "How to Stock," a short series of articles on how to do some stock basics. We'll ask the big names in stock for their tips and opinions on how to get the best out of your stock shoot!How to Stock 3- Playing a Character8 months ago in Art Features More Like This
For the third article, I asked Null-Entity, kirilee, and Tasastock all about how to play a character. Let's see what wisdom they have for us!
How do I get into character?
:iconNull-Entity: Null-Entity says:
It depends on the shot/character (I have not done many characters yet) but for my "Gent's Last Act" set I imagined an entire scenario with scenes, and simply played it out from start to finish in-front of the camera.
As for shots with Tasastock, it was a matter of thinking of the theme and playing along with it, it helped a lot to play off her!.
:iconkirilee: kirilee says:
If you are wearing a costume, think about where the character wearin

OK so here with go with our 'Draw-A-Long' feature, today we will look at what materials I will use create the drawing. I have to underline that these are the tools that I will use. You may be able to get better results with different more or less pencils or a different grade paper – but these are what I will be using
Some of the materials are standard tools that should be in everyone's pencil case – others are not so – in particular the finer pencil eraser. I cannot recommend these enough, I tend to erase as much as I draw, not because of mistakes, but as a way of obtaining textures and blends – so please if you want to follow this series please try and hunt down one of these. The only other piece that may be unusual to you is the Tortillion – these are tightly rolled sticks of paper and are again an essential item to me – mine do not usually look this clean and having one side which is blackened with graphite is e

As most of the world is aware, for some countries, Halloween is literally right around the corner. For a few years, I've been thinking that I wanted to start a monthly news article that features deviants who haven't really gotten a lot of attention, and I thought, "Why not now?"
I know that I've probably missed some AMAZING pieces out there, but I'm hoping that you can find some really....delicious and depraved deviations in this article! Please note: I know that some of these deviants have quite a few pageviews, but take a look at how long they've been around deviantART. I based on how "unseen" they are by how long they've been here and how many pageviews they have.
I feel like I didn't give enough love to enough deviants who need it, so as it's even

It actually shines lots, but is quite short, so please be sure to read them before submitting. (:
The rules for GALLERY submissions are these:
We don't accept WIPs. Only finished works, please, no half-coloured pictures.
We don't accept excessively mature or explicit deviations, we want our Group to be age-friendly and not everyone knows what a Mature Content filter is, nor cares about turning it on.
When submitting a story/comic divided into chapters, please be sure to submit the first chapter (or prologue) into the gallery folder „Prologues“. Any other chapters should be submitted to the folder „Excerpts“.
The submission limit will be set to one (1) per week (given that we are one thousand lefties in here already!), so choose your works wisely.
We only accept works you have done YOURSELF! Please be

I just came by your profile and saw your art, and was very impressed. I think you have a very nice art style. Now I'm working on this project. It's called <project>. It's an awesome story about <subject>. I'm currently writing the script for it, but I'm planning to make a visual novel. I can't tell too much about the story, since I don't want it to be copied, but it's going to be really cool. The point is; I need illustrators. I'm an excellent writer, but I can't do illustration at all. And therefore, I wanted to ask for your help. I need about 60 pages illustrated and colored. Would you work together with me on this one? I don't have any money to spend, as I'm not an established writer yet. But when the visual novel gets published, you can get a percentage of my profit.
With kind regards,
Well... let me translate this for you.

Character: What You Are in the DarkAnother of my musings on storytelling, characters and such inbound.Character: What You Are in the Dark1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I am less then a passionate devotee of a lot of modern day storytelling mediums/stories in general. The reason being I'm recently coming to understand is that there's very rarely a combination of good elements in one production. It tends to be 60/40 in terms of character development, atmosphere, plot, writing, metaphorical depth...etc.
Consider all the times you may have seen a fairly recent film and come away thinking 'Well, the action was great but the characters were boring' or 'It was really deep and meaningful...I think, but nothing really happened' or 'There was lots of character development, it's too bad the plot was so simple and dull'. It seems like the filmmakers/writers/game designers poured their hearts and souls into exactly one aspect of a production, leaving the others undernourished.
Now I realize that maybe some elements don't bother you as much as they do me. I get a massive kick out of overanalyzing

The Alternative Limb ProjectThe Alternative Limb Project by Sophie de Oliveira Barata is a project focused on creating highly realistic and unique prosthetic limbs for amputees. These limbs are designed to stand out, to draw attention to something many people are afraid to look at. The prosthetic are carefully designed by Sophie, a long time artist and special effects artist, to reflect the personalty and hobbies of the wearer. The goal of the whole project is to draw positive attention to something that is normally viewed in a negative light. While the pieces aren't necessarily meant for everyday wear, they function more like an expensive dress or a piece of jewelry that you would wear on a special occasion.The Alternative Limb Project7 months ago in Art Features More Like This

So turians give live birth! I've been curious about that for the longest time, honestly. While this is really cool, I certainly hope it isn't cause for BOOBS. Seriously, no thanks.
Way awesome of you guys to ask Weekes this! <3
However...there is that one question I bet we all ponder over...
HOW do they sleep? Are there...special fringe-friendly pillows? Standing up? Pillow showed down into the cowl? On their stomach?
I keep picturing the cowl pillow. A guy with his cowl stuffed full of cozy. That makes me happy.
I think about this...all day. Every day.
This list was put together by Mr. Graz :iconikraiga: and Squeeze the Fish, figured I'd share it with my fellow turianphiles here, unless you've already seen it.
These are all canonical facts.
