I wanted to celebrate my 1000th watcher with this, but it seems that I am 200 watcher late
Aaaaand I wanted to wait til the 5th member of the group was revealed, buuuut after much though I am going to let her join the next competition (unless someone decides to draw her)
Here's the mission. Pick any of the main characters from my comic (Lene, Jade, Dan, Cynthia, Clarice who hasn't shown her face yet) And draw them interacting with your OC!
Can I use someone else's OC?
No, it has to be Your own. Unless it's a very popular fan made OC like fufflepuff, Button Mash etc...
Oh but I don't have an OC
Oh that's fine, you can draw one of the characters in the comic interacting with a show/background pony from MLP.
I know what you are going to say. Well... THERE'S MORE! Don't wanna draw them with a show po

I hope everyone had a great holiday, but why stop the fun there? Valentine's Day is just around the corner and in the MLP fandom, Heart's and Hooves Day! So why not build the hype whether you're in a happy relationship or alone in the world! (coincidentally, it's also single awareness day, myself included )
The Contest: Heart's and Hooves Day
This contest will be all about Heart's and Hooves Day/Valentine's Day and everything it encompasses:
And on the flip-side that this holiday inadvertently causes:

It has been a crazy busy summer! So, busy that I have not nearly been as active with my photography and clothing as I would like. I also have been promising more bracer raffles for the future but have gotten behind schedule with them! So to start off the slide into fall I would like to host another bracer raffle!
So here is how it works:
-Favorite this Journal. (this is how I will keep track of the contestants)
-You must be watching me. (This is a gift to my friends, not passerby's! It is ok to start watching me now. )
If you are the winner, you will get to pick either one pair

As most of the world is aware, for some countries, Halloween is literally right around the corner. For a few years, I've been thinking that I wanted to start a monthly news article that features deviants who haven't really gotten a lot of attention, and I thought, "Why not now?"
I know that I've probably missed some AMAZING pieces out there, but I'm hoping that you can find some really....delicious and depraved deviations in this article! Please note: I know that some of these deviants have quite a few pageviews, but take a look at how long they've been around deviantART. I based on how "unseen" they are by how long they've been here and how many pageviews they have.
I feel like I didn't give enough love to enough deviants who need it, so as it's even

I just came by your profile and saw your art, and was very impressed. I think you have a very nice art style. Now I'm working on this project. It's called <project>. It's an awesome story about <subject>. I'm currently writing the script for it, but I'm planning to make a visual novel. I can't tell too much about the story, since I don't want it to be copied, but it's going to be really cool. The point is; I need illustrators. I'm an excellent writer, but I can't do illustration at all. And therefore, I wanted to ask for your help. I need about 60 pages illustrated and colored. Would you work together with me on this one? I don't have any money to spend, as I'm not an established writer yet. But when the visual novel gets published, you can get a percentage of my profit.
With kind regards,
Well... let me translate this for you.

The Alternative Limb ProjectThe Alternative Limb Project by Sophie de Oliveira Barata is a project focused on creating highly realistic and unique prosthetic limbs for amputees. These limbs are designed to stand out, to draw attention to something many people are afraid to look at. The prosthetic are carefully designed by Sophie, a long time artist and special effects artist, to reflect the personalty and hobbies of the wearer. The goal of the whole project is to draw positive attention to something that is normally viewed in a negative light. While the pieces aren't necessarily meant for everyday wear, they function more like an expensive dress or a piece of jewelry that you would wear on a special occasion. The Alternative Limb Project2 years ago in Art Features More Like This

CritStop 03 - Art school vs self teaching?Greetings Concepteez!CritStop 03 - Art school vs self teaching?1 year ago in Art Features More Like This
Apologies for missing out on the CritStop last week. I was at a weekend long concept-design workshop which didn't leave me with much time to do a post.
I might run down some of the things we did in the workshop in a future post, but this week I thought I would do something a little bit different. I have been getting quite a few queries over the last few weeks about making the choice between formal training courses such as university or college over that of self-teaching and using online resources and short courses. One of these was Nyte-Tyme who wrote:
"I mentioned before that I am currently attending a school called ------- University. So far, my first semester of a Junior year here has been bad. Art history classes (which I think are somewhat necessary) a Physics of Light and Color class. A web design class and a video and audio class which was essentially a film class after awhile. But I've been recently looking into C

We'll ask the big names in stock for their tips and opinions on how to get the best out of your stock shoot! How to Stock 3- Playing a Character2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
For the third article, I asked Null-Entity, kirilee, and Tasastock all about how to play a character. Let's see what wisdom they have for us!
How do I get into character?
:iconNull-Entity: Null-Entity says:
It depends on the shot/character (I have not done many characters yet) but for my "Gent's Last Act" set I imagined an entire scenario with scenes, and simply played it out from start to finish in-front of the camera.
As for shots with Tasastock, it was a matter of thinking of the theme and playing along with it, it helped a lot to play off her!.

One Perspective on a Low Light ExerciseOne Perspective on a Low Light Exercise5 months ago in Art Features More Like This
Welcome to one artist's experience with the use of very low light techniques for the photography of the human portrait and figure. I might also mention that while you can use this with animals, it can be quite difficult and dangerous since you are working with open flames. Another tutorial I am working on will cover using safer light sources such as lamps and LED sources. It does however work well with still life images as long as you are careful how you place the candles.
As I look out over a sea of shining lenses,
"unless those are actually glittering eyes, in which case I may be in the wrong auditorium,"
the thought comes to me that there are a few very important points we should address at the very beginning of things.
1. Understand your camera. Quite possibly the most important point of all. Nearly every camera out there has a manual, somewhere. If you have the one that came with it, then dig it out and do some reading. If you do not, then in many cases y

When horror crosses the line. . .As some of you may (or may not) already know, I'm a huge survival horror fan, I enjoy playing games that tests your abilities to survive, solving complicated puzzles to help you unlock the truth all while trapping yourself in a hopeless realm for which there is no escape. When horror crosses the line. . .3 years ago in Personal More Like This
We've seen it all before right? back in the days it was horror tales and ghost stories, then in the 80's we turned things up a notch and had out wonderful splatter films, in the 90's we were spitting out ghost movies more then a rabbit birthing babies.
But when 2000 came around; Did we get bored or these tales? did we feel that we've done everything to scare and had nothing left?
It does seem like it these days.
Before It was the adults who were placed in such life threatening situation, then we raised the bar and used reckless, idiotic Teenagers, then we mixed it up and it was quite satisfying.
But now we're turning these horrific dangers on the kids.
What does this even do? Time after time I try to warp my head arou

Sculptober! Join in on the fun!So I have been participating in #inktober, but some sculpting buddies and I thought it would be awesome to have a sculpting variation of it! And so #sculptober was born! We choose a theme for each day and sculpt it. I decided I'd still do both challenges because I've been drawing concepts for the themes anyway. So you get a quick preview of what the sculpt will be before I post it! It's been really fun, though I admit I've already stayed up til 4 AM twice just to finish some of them. Hubby says I need to simplify the designs so I don't burn out, but I just can't help myself. Getting one sculpt a day done with a baby to watch is a bit roughSculptober! We did decide that anyone can join in on the fun if they like. We have a sculptober page over on FB with the themes announced a day ahead. https://www.facebook.com/sculptober Just hashtag your posts with #sculptober and people can find you! You can sculpt every day (though we do take weekends off) or just when you have the time. T

please commission me for a painting so i can keep working on the next pmd flash stuff without having to stall it??????? semi-rendered paintings (a little more than a speedpaint) for 40 dollars a character UNLESS ITS PORN then its 50 dollars a character
no preference on subject; can be anything, but if it's porn it has to be something i will feel comfortable posting on my adult blog!! otherwise i cant accept it
the commission cant be too complicated it needs to be simple like "my pokemon using an attack" or "my character looking cool/cute/etc" and I will pick the background - you can suggest a setting that will influence what i do with it though! these are supposed to be fun experimental practice and so i dont want to have to super analyze descriptions or anything, please understand! i want to do my best to practice on simple ide
Complete Pyramid Head Helmet TutorialIntroductionComplete Pyramid Head Helmet Tutorial8 years ago in Personal More Like This
Okay everyone, here is the long awaited Pyramid Head Helmet Tutorial! Unfortunately, I do not have step by step pictures, nor do I have measurements of the actual frame or the foam-board panels, just the finished product. Also, I did not sketch out blueprints when I made the helmet, but I used pictures as references. I'll describe later how I did that. As a matter of fact, that might be more helpful to you than the actual measurements themselves. But anyways, lets get started. Use the following links as reference throughout the tutorial:
