This was a commission I received from a girl that obviously loves rainbows I made rainbow cake cellphone charm, ring and pendant, and a couple of tiny adorable stud earrings, everything with rainbow chips on top for the charm bracelet she asked me to make a variety of foods, so I made (from the top, clockwise): a rainbow ice-cream (the cone is covered by the scoop), a rainbow popsicle, rainbow frosted donut, rainbow chip cookie, rainbow lollipop, and rainbow frosted butter cookie I think I should have offered her a rainbow keychain too, that's the only thing that's missing for a full set!
So many rainbows if anyone is interested in a commission similar to this let me know! everything shown here is available for commission.
Technical stuff: All handmade with polymer clay by me, no molds or whatsoever were used. A tiny heart cutter was used for the heart cookie. Glaze was used to make some parts shiny. This is all colored clay, nothing was painted!
This was a commission for ~Picajosan, she asked me to make cake earrings like the orange cake earrings I already did, but instead of oranges she wanted dangling strawberries like the ones in my waffles and a tiny pink cake with roses like the one I submitted long ago. So it's pretty much the blending of three of my works:
I really love her idea and it turned out extremely adorable, I'm kinda ashamed I didn't think of it before XD it's brilliant! The pink frosting ended up being a tiny bit more pink than the other cake but I think it works, this darker shade matches the strawberries better. I only had room to add one rose bud, if you see the second photo and compare the cake with my fingers you'll notice that it's quite small ~Picajosan already received these earrings and she said she liked them, she very kindly wrote a journal about it and even took photos wearing them! HOW AWESOME IS THAT! I'm really excited about this mini review, you can see it here: [link]
Technical stuff: All handmade with polymer clay, no molds or premades or whatsoever were used. Pastel dust and acrylic paints were also used, along with some metal findings. The technique I use to make my cakes was explained in this tutorial .
These photos came out a bit different from my usual style, a bit more... vintage? I'm lost when it comes to photography, all I did differently was take them late in the evening so I guess it was something to do with the light. Edit: silly me! I also used a different, darker background. What do you guys think, it's a different style which one do you prefer?
This was a commission for ~Rae-Lynn (here's her feedback), she asked me to do lemon dangling earrings and a lemon pie necklace, I was asked to include a dollop of whipped cream on top of the pie with a slice of lemon. I love how the second photo shows the segments I make on the lemon and the translucency, what I don't love so much is the speck of dust that escaped my inspection that's the worst thing about photographing miniatures, all the stray dust is painfully obvious. It was superficial, not part of the clay so it can be brushed off.
Dangling earrings are so much fun to make the funniest thing is that I don't like wearing them, but I love making them
Technical stuff: All handmade with polymer clay, no premades or molds were used, everything was made from scratch by me. The whipped cream is polymer clay too. Metal findings were bought from a local craft store.
Thanks to the awesome =maytel for making a custom shape of my kitty logo
You can see me showing this cake in this video: [link] . This cake was a gift to my friend *kimchikawaii, it represents her two brands Kimchi Kawaii dedicated to cute and funny art, and Frosted Fleur de Lis which is about sweet crafts:
It's the first time I do a two tier cake, it was a bit more complicated than I expected I tried to decorate it like a real fondant cake, I've been watching too much Ace of Cakes lately the Fleur de Lis, her logo, was hand painted by me using tiny brushes. At some point I decided that making the buttercream seashells one by one would kill me, so I ended up making a mold (pretty unusual for me, I don't like molds but it was needed to preserve my sanity). I really liked how it turned out, but I forgot to take size reference photos again
Technical stuff: All made by me with polymer clay, the logo is painted with acrylic paints, also used gold microbeads for accent, and some glaze. The bottom tier has a wood center or it would have been too heavy. The only tools I used were regular razor blades, toothpicks, needles and brushes. Size about 2.5 cm ~ 1 inch wide and 4 cm ~ 1.5 inch tall?
The perfect earrings for every coffee lover! I actually made these earrings several months ago but I forgot about them until recently. Each coffee bean is lovingly made one by one to ensure the perfect texture, they're also the size of a real coffee bean, the only thing I make in 1:1 scale they are made to look like Italian roast, but the color and shine can be adjusted to match your favorite kind or roast I added some crystals as color accent. Since they're polymer clay they will last virtually forever, they won't crack, dry or break like real coffee beans do.
This was a commission for another mexican girl that wanted a flan ring as a sort of birthday present to herself in case someone doesn't know, a flan is a sort of custard that is very popular in Mexico as a dessert, it's made with vanilla beans and it has some burnt sugar syrup in top. It's extremely delicious and it has a fantastic texture
I'M HUNGRY I just made myself hungry thinking of flan...
She wanted the flan in a white plate with a little spoon, both made by me too I think that it's a very cute design, I just hope she doesn't try to eat it. In case anyone is interested I'm now accepting commissions for rings My only complain is that the pastel dust didn't blend very well in the burnt sugar, so you can see some specks of it... they're not very noticeable in person, but they're painfully obvious in macro photography XD that's something to keep in mind next time I make syrup. Oh and also, this photos is really weird the contrast is all off, I had a poor light that day.
Technical stuff: All handmade by me with polymer clay, no molds premades or anything else was used, it's all 100% handmade by me. The plate was made using the same technique I showed in my plate tutorial: [link] . I used a silver plated adjustable ring glued with E6000
I made this cake for a commission, I was asked to do a cake like this one [link] but it didn't turn out like I was expecting. So I made it again, I sent my commissioner the second one but I was left with this one. At first I hated it because it didn't turn like I wanted and I can be very obsessive about it, but when I started seeing it as "a cake" and not "the cake" I imagined, I started liking it again. So since I have nothing to do with it, I thought it would be good to give it away
Materials: Polymer clay, acrylic paints, metal findings.
I just found these old photos and wondered why I never published them xD I think they're a year old at least. That German Chocolate Cake is one of my favorite cakes ever! I made these for my dear friend =moofestgirl, I asked her what's her favorite cake and she said German chocolate cake... I also made her what I called a Chocolate Murder Cake with every form of chocolate I could think of xD
Chocolate Murder Cake: Dark chocolate cake filled with chocolate, with creamy chocolate frosting, chocolate sprinkles and hot chocolate sauce. Next time I'll add a small scoop of chocolate ice cream German chocolate cake: Milk chocolate cake filled and frosted with a coconut and pecan creamy frosting. A sweet chocolate frosting covers the side, some of it is used for decoration and it's topped with cherries and chopped pecans. And my strawberry shortcake, which I've made a million times already xD
This photo is really old xD I took it with my old camera in my lightbox, now I prefer to use natural light... mostly because I put the lightbox on top of a bookcase and I'm too short to get it down again T_T and lately I've felt that natural light makes everything look happier.
Handmade by me with polymer clay and metal findings. Everything is available for commission!
Available in my etsy: [link] or you can also purchase it directly with me
Is it a lie because it's clay, or is it not a lie because it actually exists?
Another old cake photo I forgot to post! It's a bit dark for my liking too Last year when I posted my full portal cake with a slice I made it a vanilla cake because I didn't know what it really was, and some people kindly pointed me that the Portal cake is actually a black forest cake. So here it is, chocolate version! It was purchased by ~sleepyhamsteri, who told me she liked it
Technical stuff: All made with polymer clay, it has a pin on the back so it can be used as a pendant or charm. It's about 1 inch ~ 2.3 cm long.
This was part of the commission I made for ~Unseeing-Oblivion, she told me that her mom's favorite cake is chocolate mousse cake and she asked me to make her a pendant, this is actually the second version of it; after finishing the first cake I made I noticed that since the sides of the cake were mousse they were very smooth, if anything with a couple of holes here and there... but the cake I made looked like it had frosting so after freaking out a bit I decided to remake it, and this was the one I sent her the other cake was given away some months ago.
I also re-made some things that I thought I could improve from the first cake, I made the top decorations a bit more distinct but I made them still look piped, I used whole strawberries instead of halves (because I think they look more delicious) and I got rid of the icing sugar. I know some people like the icing sugar, but I prefer the cleaner look of this version ah and you can barely tell in the photos, but the bottom is slightly darker as if the mousse was sitting on top of a waffer or a cookie.
She told me that they both liked it, so I'm extremely happy ^^
Technical stuff: All handmade with polymer clay, acrylic paints were used for the seeds, and some glaze for the strawberries. No molds, premades or anything similar was used, it's 100% handmade. The findings were bought on my local jewelry supply store. I forgot to measure it, but I think it was around 2.5 cm ~ 1 inch.
