Milieu: GENOVORE by Paul Kidd

The "Black Widow" spacecraft was a commission for Paul Kidd and was drawn according to his specs. A very stealthy smuggling vessel, fitted with a gun turret and twin missile tubes. A large cargo hatch features on the aft end.

A middleweight space superiority fighter, the Spearhead is well liked for its speed and maneuverability. Pilots do have to get used to its limited visibility and the relatively low fire rate of the main armament.

Please welcome the newest member in my family of space warships - the "SUMER-CLASS".
She represents a brand-new design philosophy whose variants will be used by all the other units of the ESF SPACE NAVY. No matter if they are DESTROYERS, CRUISERS or SHUTTLES!

As you may noticed, the "SUMER" is much less detailed than my older ship (e.g. the "AZTECATL-CLASS"). Of course, there is a reason for that: I wanted to give my new vehicles a "Manga/Anime"-like look and so I tried to find the perfect mix between a "detail-simplicity" and "detail-complexity"... or whatever...

I hope you all like the "SUMER"! Please let me know your opinions about her!

This is the original concept sketch I did for the Colonial One, president Laura's ship. It originally was spec'd to be a 1200 passenger spaceliner. Of course it was later learned that this particular ship was also supposed to land in Galactica's hangar bay. The model being almost built, Lee Stringer and the folks at zoic ended up having to make the ship's windows much smaller to change the scale to allow for this.

Bad guys have ugly ships. It's a rule.
