It had been some time since Mike had seen his older sister, Emma. She had been called to go help with a camp for about a week and half and had not been able to call or message Mike. Mike missed her dearly and was stuck trying to find something to do on this certain Saturday. His dad had been at an important conference and so he was staying with his mom and trying to count down the seconds when Emma would be home. He loved his sister. She was so nice to him and had looked out for him numerous times ever since he had escaped from his real parents' brutality and joined his current family.
Mike missed her smile, glimmering

Hey everyone, this is a request for maw-eats-people involving her character, Hallow, as a naga and his "interesting" experience with a young girl who happens to be at the wrong street light.
Flashes of light shone by as a cool wet shower fell on the darkening skies above. Reflections of benches, the soft steps of people, and street lights reflected off the now damp asphalt. The shimmering skyscrapers and the buildings started going dark as the pale sunset continued its ever declining cycle. The night lights sparked to life as the evening approached. The flags on the cities' only bank flew proudly in the brisk breezes picking up in the air. The clear glass doors open smoothly as a pretty and young woman steps out into the cool evening atmosphere.
Her straps from her leather overcoat started flapping freely in the wind while her smooth face began smiling at the beautiful night, her auburn hair blowing harmon

The Problems With Stories Written by TeenagersDon't be offended at the title. "Teenagers" is just my way of saying "people who write unprofessional/shallow stories." Not all teenagers write shallow stories, it just sounds catchier.... Anyway. The Problems With Stories Written by Teenagers7 months ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
The first thing I want to make clear is: I'm not talking about anything mechanical in this deviation. Grammar/spelling is important (obviously), but that point has been beaten to death by people on the internet already. My purpose, as always, is to talk about the stories themselves, regardless of the way they are communicated. Whether it be through written word or on-the-spot narration, I believe there are certain tricks to telling good stories. Not rules, mind you. Tricks.
I don't believe that telling good stories is about what you "should" do, rather than what you shouldn't. Example: people generally hate Mary Sues, right? Well, sometimes I notice things that are "like" Mary Sues, in the sense that they're equally as shallow/unprofessional ways of telling stories. The purpose of this deviat

A mischievous girl who's no more than nine
In order to know this good friend of mine
Is by meeting Clarissa and Aaron; The Shines
Aaron loves to paint and Clarissa loves flowers
They met up in college for a couple of hours
The woman was English and had some good class
The kind no American could ever surpass
The man was in love with the red-haired lass
They would meet with each other at the end of each class
Though they were shy and uncertain, their love began to unfurl
Soon they were a couple; it was boy meets girl
Out of their love, there followed their marriage
With a longing for a baby in a baby carriage
They desired an offspring more than all in the world
With hope in their hearts, they prayed for a girl
Though some neighbors thought the love birds were strange
As rumors were spoken and cruelly exchanged
But The Shines paid no heed; they truly didn't care
They cherished only the infant Clarissa would bare
Childbirth came and to their surprise

My belly is full right now, so please wait your turn
It might be a day, or maybe two
But soon there will be room for you
My gut grumbles and groans,
"I wish you were here", it moans
I'm hungry again I'll have you know,
So into my tummy you will go
Soft and warm, slimy and wet,
My throat is quite slippery I bet
My stomach has much more room,
It will be the cause of your doom
One last swallow to be made,
but please do not be afraid,
As you slide into my empty belly,
"It is quite comfortable, if a bit smelly"
Gurgling and growling, sloshing and churning,
Falling asleep as your skin starts burning
As you begin to digest, I am quite sad
As you were the only friend I ever had

Ragingfire1 wrote the breathtaking introduction and the scenery and I wrote the interaction and befriending. Raging said he wanted it to be me interacting with Kazio so I'll just use myself but please, thank him for his huge contribution of the beginning/middle and the initial, amazing idea to do this. Without it, this story wouldn't exist.

We decided to do a story dedicated to Maw-Eats-People10 aka Jenae as she is one of my closest friends and we both saw that she was very sad, angry, and depressed earlier this week. I woke up in a cave. It was freezing cold and the stone floor chilled my skin, the only thing keeping me warm was my red jacket. The chilling air blew into the cave which gave me goosebumps on my skin, I scouted the cave and there I saw a large figure, I did not move an inch, at first all I could see was a blurred blue, the figure stood at least 28 feet tall.
The figure had to be something with blue scales then I let my eyes slowly gain focus and then looked. I wiped my eyes and I could make out a glimmering light, I could see a fire,
the figure raised up its head, my vision blurred again then what I could make out of my surroundings was now shaded a shining blue. I looked down to its feet, but I only saw a blue limb. I was not sure if this creature was trying to pin me down or when it was sleeping it just rested the limb on me, the limb on top of me was a dragon's arm holding me down, but it was not uncomfortable for me.
I could see two glowing blue eyes looki

And there are also two more things special about her, first: She can talk and second: Well, you’ll see soon enough!
As she continues walking, she hears a slight rustling from a nearby tree. She stops to check things out and as she steps more near, a red apple falls down, right on her head. “What the..?” She mutters as she looks up to the treetop, where she discerns a young boy. He is collecting some apples in a small basket, as it seems, he hasn’t noticed Amanda yet. Out of a sudden, the stomach of the mare is giving a slight growl, “I guess an apple would be nice right now...” Sh

I was aroused from sleep by a noise. Not a loud one, but just enough that it pulled me from a peaceful dream and into the reality of my bedroom, dimly lit by early morning sunshine filtering in through the blinds over my window. The noise continued. I leaned over to peek beyond the edge of the bed. A large mass of skin, some human, some snakelike, sat coiled up on a pile of blankets, slowly rising and falling rhythmically. I forgot I let Corran sleep at my house last night. He snores lightly, just as lightly as he speaks. It's soothing.
I chose not to wake him, instead sliding off the bed, hitting the wood floors with my bare feet, hardly making a sound. I sneak past him and out my door. I walked over to my desk, slipping into the soft leather chair. I open the laptop and quickly begin my morning routine, typing, drawing, checking messages.

Cloudsdale was not a city of many secrets. There are things to be said for cities on hills which apply even more to cities in the sky, and chances were that if you were a pony living somewhere in Equestria, you could look up on a clear day and spot the pegasus settlement swaying in the atmosphere.
But looking at Cloudsdale was not the same bag of oats as being in Cloudsdale, and for those who ate and played and slept and lived within its borders, theirs was a sight not even the Princesses, dwelling within their twilit spires of ivory and stained glass galleries, could lay claim to.
Cloudsdale enjoyed two sunrises a day. This was not a secret, but a fact, and facts are rather boring. This was only the natural consequence of overlooking two horizons: the one far in the distance that welded earth and sky together in a blue line wider than vision, and the one running along the edges of the city's hoofprint.
The city's secret, rather, lay with that second sunrise like th

MASS EFFECT 3 ALTERNATE ENDING *SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY*
**EDIT** Holy crap this got way more attention than I was expecting. The comments and support have been amazing everyone!
A few points: Credit where credit is due; this ending, as much as everyone seems to love it, was only created because the amazing team at Bioware created a universe that was so rich and full of life and detail. As much as I know a lot of fans are hurt by what they did, we need to remember that Bioware still created an incredible trilogy, one of the best ever. So hats off to them all round.
Also, this was written really fast and so the ending (specifically the last part on how you actually win using TIM's signal) isn't very fleshed out. I know there are holes, and they can actually be fixed quite easily. This isn't perfect. Also, this doesn't deal with a 'happy' ending. If there were to be one, or you were to even CONSIDER taking the fourth option, you'd need to be damn ready. I'm talking ALL war assets e

Deep in the tundra plains and snow-covered forests of Canada, there lived a small boy in a remote town, nestled in the heart of this vast country. This boy was only five years old when his mother dies from pneumonia leaving the child in the care of his uncle, the father having left years before. For nine long years, the boy's uncle treated him very poorly. Despite the child's best attempts to avoid his relative's wrath, many nights still ended with injury being placed upon the boy. Since their town was more remote than most, their tiny log cabin only had electrical heat for a few hours a day, and so the two were forced to warm themselves by an ancient wood furnace the rest of the time. A favorite cruelty of the uncle was to send the boy out into the winter's cold to gather wood and logs for the furnace that night.
Even though it was freezing outside, and the
