Yeah this is the one after I had added the seeds, and had just finished sculpting the tail. Actually I had done the seeds and baked, this was just the tail. I painted the whole tail with fimo deco gel to add strength and hopefully flexibility. I let it soak in for a day before I actually baked it. That and I was busy with my life. Totally intentional though XD
Wanted to do a Scyther for a long time now but never had the endurance because the whole "balance thing" drove me insane... With some wire-construction it finally worked Took me around 40 hours :/ Size: 4.5cm till the head, 6.5cm with the wingtip. (1.77 / 2.56 inch)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, this is a Dark Samus plasticide figure. I made this one before this one [link] But it really did´t convinced me and I did´t know if upload it but finally I´ve decided to upload it. This one was quite dificult because her colors were changing constantly. But in september I'll look foward to give another try with this one.
After a month of hard work, Here is my finished Xenomorph sculpture.
At the start of the year a few friends were getting hyped up about the new aliens game that was to be released. I had never seen any films from the Aliens series at that point. They made me sit down and watch atleast the first two films. Safe to say, They were awesome! I quickly fell in love with the gribbly wee beasties.
So my sculpture is based on 'The Raven' from said game, Aliens: Colonial Marines - Which was a horribly buggy game. (No pun intended) But I did really enjoy playing through the campaign and multiplayer with friends. - As you can see from the statue in bottom image. I used that as my reference.
It stands about 15cm tall from feet to tail. It was painted with acrylic paint and finished with a clear varnish. Sculpted with Super Sculpey, Sculpey Firm and Apoxie Sculpt over a wire/foil armature
WIP of it here; ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
