CGC and SARWelcome!
CGC title gives 20xp.
To get approved for the title just submit it to our gallery, if the drawing is accepted the dog got the title.
What is CGC?
CGC is the abbreviation for Canine Good Citizen, which is a title earned after a test is taken that ensures that your dog is sound in personality and obedience, something that genetic tests do not offer.
The CGC test is open to all breeds, including mixes and created breeds.
Participating dogs must be at least one year old. There is no maximum age.
Your dog must be wearing either a nylon, leather chain collar, or harness.
If your dog is wearing an electronic, pinch, or choke collar, head or muzzle halter, easy-walk harness or any other training type tool, you and your dog will be automatically disqualified for three days. Your dog must also not be wearing any tags.
Types of Tests

TKC-Point systemWhat is the Point System?TKC-Point system3 years ago in Personal More Like This
The point system was created to give something back for those drawings you make and the titles you earn. You dont have to do this, it's only for fun. Point systems are made to encourage people to draw their dogs, and also to have a goal to reach for. The points are not the dA currency points, it's just a made up system, think of it as experience points just like a game.
SIMPLE GUIDEFor example, if you created a new dog without any parents, the dog starts with 0xp, every single thing the dog earns and every drawing you make of the dog gives the dog xp, eventually when the dog has gathered enough xp the dog may be awarded one of our 5 ranks. XP may also be passed on to offspring.
You can not earn a title from TKC if the drawing was made for a different group or contest not hosted by TKC.
You can not count 1 image twice, that would be considered cheating,
TKC Health TestUpdate 30th August:TKC Health Test2 years ago in Personal More Like This
To bring a faster pace to the health testing process we decided to drop the certificates. Owners will have to apply on this journal like usual but we will not be giving out certificates only the results of the dog through a comment like this- link.
Since the owner won´t have a certificate to link to as proof, a user can instead copy the link to the results comment by right-clicking on the time when the comment was placed and saving the link, that way people get directed to the results comment.
What is the Health Test?
We have adapted the health test to correspond to the breeding rules that are seen in the majority of the kennels here. Among those most commonly seen rules are 'only realistic colors' and no hereditary illnesses'. If your dog passes this test, he, or she is sure to be accepted

To get an entry approved just submit to our folder Shows/Title trials, if the deviation is accepted into the gallery the dog was accepted for the title.
What is the Title System?
This is an ongoing event, meaning it has no deadline and you finish the drawing whenever you want.
Some competitions that give out titles like "Tracking Dog Excellent" are hard to find on dA. So below is a list of some titles that TKC provides without having it to be a contest. This way you will know for sure that all those hours spent on an drawing, will be worth it.
A drawing made for our title system will give you 5xp for the title you earn, but you also get 7xp cause it is an event drawing.

In order to become a champion, your dog must have been awarded CACIBs. These can only be given on shows that contain pre-evaluations to prevent easy champion titling of rare breeds and groups. CACIBs are given to the best dog and best bitch of each breed if the entry was done remarkably well, and are required to obtain the champion title. This does not however mean that all the WDs and WBs get CACIB, I repeat, only the remarkably well done entries. Earning a CACIB means that the judge thinks your dog is good enough to become a champion. Mostly, only one CACIB will be handed out, but if it is a close tie between the winners, a reserve CACIB can also be handed out. With some breeds, four CACIBs is all that is required in order to become

Watchdog TestThe watchdog test is a test for basic alertness. The dog must demonstrate protection work and know which situations that are considered a threat and what reactions he/she must show. The dog must not show unnecessary aggression. The "title" given (WH) does not represent a substitute for a training degree in the sense of the breeding, showing, or exhibition requirements of the SV, but is rather an additional title that will give a little plus in the breed survey and conformation show.Watchdog Test11 months ago in Personal More Like This

The final step in achieving official breeding status for the German Shepherd is the breed survey. This is an evaluation of the complete German Shepherd dog against the standard in respect to temperament, conformation and functional ability. Dogs recommended for breeding are admitted Into KKL1, and those suitable for breeding are admitted into KKL2. Those not passing the breed survey will not be considered officially approved for breeding by the SV. (Note that in real, it has been changed, and the KKL1 and KKL2 doesn't exist any more) But if your dog doesn't pass, it doesn't mean that we forbid you from breeding it. In the dA SV, both show lines and working lines have

In order to test whether your dog has what it takes to be a police dog, you must complete ONE (1) of the following drawings and submit it to the group as a comment or a note for approval:
Alertness: Place the dog on a long cable on a tree or post. Leave the dog alone for 5-10 minutes. Observe his behavior, it should be curious and attentive. After a while a stranger (decoy) should walk towards the dog making strong eye contact and moving in a oncoming but left to right pattern. Each time the decoy changes direction he may pause and face the dog with additional strong eye contact. The decoy should be carrying something odd such as a bucket or a leafy tree branch just to attract attention. The decoy must advance upon the prospect in a zigzag pattern pausing occasionally and making strong direct eye contact with the dog. Observe the dog's reaction as the decoy presses closer and closer in a slow irregular pattern. The dog m

HGH stands for Herdengebrauchshund (Herding Utility Dog).
Herding is a wonderful way for a dog and it's owner to connect and experience the purpose for which it was bred. The tending style of herding, at which the German Shepherd Dog excells, involves managing large groups of stock while grazing in an open setting. The tending dog acts as a 'living fence' to move the stock in an orderly manner and keep them gathered to graze in a designated area. A HGH dog must demonstrate obedience, diligence and independence when tending to the flock.
As for breed surveying, if your dog has the HGH title, it
