I am sitting hidden at the foot of an oak,
Songs strike up longing, flying sadly with the wind.
Swing themselves on a cloud, floating in the wide world,
Looking for a human who is imprisoned by a dream.
Penetrate his soul to allay softly the sorrow,
Want to take all pain with them into eternity.
Rain falls from the dark sky and I am weeping silently,
Because the way to my soul is misplaced for all time.
I open my eyes, extinguished is the starlight,
Quiet my songs die away. Sadness fulfils my existence.
Feeling the wind like a warm breath that embraces me,
Hoping that one day it will bring back all the stars.
Comforted by the moonlight, I wait for the next day to come.
Just another day of all those days of time.
Another day that will make my heart beat full of hope and joy.

It is clear and pure.
Twinkling stars are strewn across the firmament,
Moon is looking down on me.
He was the only one who has seen my latest tears.....
The moon and my friend...
"Listen to me, my oaken friend,
today I am not weeping out of frustration, self-doubt nor sadness,
this night I am coming to share my tears of joy with you.
I have friends,
People who do not ask,
Who do not judge me.
Have I come home at last?
No words that I need a professional, nor other words of discrimination.
No words that my kind is not welcome.
Do not shake your leaves, it is no dream.
I hope so. It is hope and joy.
And I hope there is more to come."

Some time in infinity.
Some time I will meet you again,
In the light dwelling of continuity.
I lay at the creek and think of you,
Not far from me you are standing.
The water is quiet,
Your leaves do not rustle,
Silenced in my heart as well
Every day's pain neverending.
You give me strength,
You comfort me,
Also in the greatest need.
My thanks are yours,
My good friend, my tree,
Never I would like to miss you.
You are the ashes,
Burnt in many dreams.
But from your ashes,
The diamond is forming itself.
I hold a diamond into the starlight,
Move myself to its radiance.
How the light breaks itself in that stone!
But I know there is another world
Some time in infinity.
Some time I will meet you again,
In the light dwelling of continuity.
The Tree's NameThe Tree's Name2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
The tree grew in the midst of the Old Forest.
A lot of people went for a walk in this forest. But mostly they did not notice the tree. It stood a little off the road. There it had its place where it had grown naturally.
The tree was still young, but already very strong. Its roots were deeply anchored in Mother Earth. It had strong branches and many twigs where birds liked to nest. The birds were its friends. They felt well there because of the tranquillity and the strength of the tree. Its leaves became dark-red in autumn and were wonderfully veined.
The tree had a dream. It wanted to know its name.
During one long dark and cold winter it dreamt of having a name and being called by it. That would produce a very special magic and it would find its destiny.
One beautiful evening the air was clear and pure. It was summer and the air was comfortable warm and starlit. Even here at the remote place in the Old Forest where the young tree grew penetrated the starlight and the war
Eternal WoodEternal Wood2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Eternal wood with thousands of tree-tops,
In your halls dwells peace.
With your incessant rustle
You still the longing of my heart.
In silent devotion, the mouth must
Fail there miserably.
Only bird-singing has here the right
To beat the time.
Each tree loves its neighbour,
Together they carry the weight.
Caress each other tenderly with the branches,
Hugs themselves when they like.
For how many animals do you offer
A safe habitat?
For how many flowers do you care
Which trust blindly your protection?
Eternal wood with thousands of tree-tops,
Mother Earth may preserve you.
At all times and forever
You should develop yourself freely.

I see the sky, the moon and the earth -
It is the air, the fields and the woods ...
Starlit is the night.
My soul relaxes
And floats through the silence.
Second! Stand still and stay!
You are just so wonderful!
Let all the others move on,
Drops in the sea of time -
The wood does not hear the waves,
But the trees know my silent song.
Leaves are touched by the moonlight.
Stricken by the silvery wonder,
My heart sees the truth of existence.

The frozen evening dew moistens me.
It is cold – I do not feel it.
Only the silence of the night is all around me.
My hair becomes entangled in an icy wind.
So that I fear to be blown away.
I reach out for the branch of a tree
To seek help and protection.
In front of me I can see the forest in awesome loftiness.
The trees welcome me.
Finally I arrive at the spot I am heading to –
The clearing – a spiritual place.
I stop in the middle of this circle –
Symbol of eternity, image of perfection.
I wait and only my breath can be heard.
Time seems to stand still.
Then, at last – the clouds flee
And unveil the radiating face of the moon.
Its illumination seems to cover everything
With liquid silver.
Shimmering gold is mingling among the
Silvery glittering night-blue sky.
Unnumbered stars are strewn into the night.
High up I lift my face.
My eyes catch the light of the moon and the stars.
I know that the time has come.
Determined I lower my head,

I feel that something in the wood is other than usual.
There is a happy mood that is mysterious at the same time.
The senses are sharpened.
Like from afar I mean to hear the music of elves.
The songs they are singing are merry and joyous.
Songs that echo through the night that will not become dark.
Songs, penetrating deep into my soul.
That let me forget this world and make me dreaming.
But beyond all high mountains, under oaks and beeches dense.
There, where the moss has a sappy green and
The light breaks through the foliage,
Lies a pool deeply hidden, legendary and mythical,
Carries a whispering secret, conceals its power in the water.
Because thousands of elves were weeping, tears so enormously clear,
For the stream of life which had died tonight. For the oceans which do not breathe,
For the rivers deaf and blind, for the once so beautiful lakes which are only dried.
For the trees and the plants around lying in their agonies.
Nothing of the cheerful songs will ever dry their pain.

The last sunbeams of the long warming summer are shining once again with their full magnificence until the weakened sun gives up happiness and laughter.
Do you hear the music, wandering from major to minor? In this weightlessness of nature Mr. Autumn is obtrusive like in a dictatorship.
Is it the cold, the decline of joy do they make you blind? It is not so simple.
Sometimes you ask yourself what a misery like in a ballad, the music slowly playing.
Does love put you under its spell? But in this melancholy it never arrived.
The one love He looks at you, do not lose the glance. Are you pleased? Have you make known your enormous affection?
So near but so far as well like the twinkling evening star in the sky.
The question how, where and when ask it to yourself or not.
However, it remains the search for the eternal happiness of light.
Leaves change colour from green to yellow, lose their power as well as their attraction.

There, where the moon shines on the moss,
Where everything radiates in silver and gold,

Where the air smells of trees
And where the greatest secret of my heart lies
Is the place I feel like home.
There, where everyone believes in the good
And where inner values still count.
Where all beings are accepted -
There is in the dark light of the night
The bright moon with magical force and soft shine.
Under the protection of the breathing power of the woods
The forest grants me tranquility and deep spiritual peace.
In the origin of my existence I experience
The connection of time -
The past and the future.
It rings a clear silver laughter
Far across rivers - mountains - lakes.
The wind catches the silent tune
That is blown away tenderly in the sky.
It remains a sparkling light
Which swings high above the trees,
Bringing quietly back the faith
To humanity here on our Earth.

Delicate draperies of fog are waving.
A slight evening shadow sinks into them.
The moon donates its pale sickle as light.
Still standing alone in the early evening shine.
All tired leas are resting from the dance.
Until starlight breaks through the night-dress.
A wondrous silence falls like a dream.
The amazement of the coming night awakes.
A last call dies away, it is barely to hear.
And trees and bushes by the wayside
coming together tightly,
aspirating their song of praise into the night.

And while the crows’ croaks echo on foggy fields,
I travel to the stars, full of nostalgia.
The wind in the willows whistles with sorrowful flute tune,
And while I follow you to the destinations of our dreams,
I cast a glance at the scenery full of fruits.
From the depth of the earth, song and whisper raise.
Our love was already gone before it began.
I could only search but I never found you.
The sand of the hourglass vanished between our hands,
I had to get over the unavoidable farewell.
The gossamers of past dreams
Cover my thoughts like a web.
They make the brown-colored leafless trees shake
As well as my walk.
October full moon, take me with you on the journey.
Help me to fly to the other side of summer.
In a magical, eternal way
You and I will walk together under the fresh green leaves.

And all grief flew away.
When I was weeping in your arm,

Today you fell!
I came too late.
You will never sway in the wind again.
You have to lie chopped by the wayside.

Where you have been chopped.
Soon grey walls will tower, there,
Where you lie in the sunshine.

I will wait for it secretly.
Perhaps in front of the house will bloom a garden

Beyond human eyes.
There lies the world under a magic spell,
The fog never evaporated.
The trees are tall and grey there,
They sway and lament.
Tales they whisper furtively
Of long forgotten elder days.
In mossy lichen and fern shrubs
Silently dance the elven folk.
They weave the veils of mist
And turn around in circles.
In the wild forest, at a dark place,
Hidden away from human hands.
There the old tale still lives,
Its secret never discovered.
Deep between stone and root work,
In a dark chamber,
A dwarf is forging with magic power,
Wields steadily his hammer.
And high up in dense branch entanglement
Two ravens croak silently.
Like a thought they fly,
Like remembrance, so wise.
In the wild forest is some strange face!
Suddenly it is soundless and cold.
A human walks there, he does not see
The eyes deep in the forest.

That what I loved to have, you have given to me -
Power, dignity, hope - zest for life.

Golden shades lie on the autumnal wood.
The wood liked to talk in the speech of beech and oak.
Wild ducks who fly on sadly
Have nothing to regret and are far from this doom.
Being sorry - for whom?
We all are wandering, roving
You come and go and leave the empty home.
It dreams of those who roam through the world
And deep in the pool the moonlight is drowning.
I am alone. Everywhere reigns silence.
The wild ducks have gone by the wind long ago.
I am yearning for the leaves' abundance
On the damp woody ground multi-coloured jewels are gathering.
Although, the flames of colours are manifold,
The yellow foliage of the ashes stays tight.
I let my words fall sorrowfully
Like the trees let fall their leaves.
And once when time in sign of new stars
Will sweep away those leaves,
It must be said that the autumnal wood liked
To talk in its speech of beech and oak to them.

Outdoors it is slowly getting light.
With a particular presentiment
I quickly jump out of the bed.
Amazed, I look out of the window,
There has happened something overnight.
The whole world has been changed
By winter's white magnificence.
Little flakes are dancing slowly
In front of the window, to and fro.
For hours I could watch them.
Oh, I love that so much.
Winter overcoat, scarf and cap
I pick out immediately.
Und then, full of joy, I run out
Into the snow-covered fields.
Silent, I walk all alone
Through the white winter wood.
Everything is so tranquil and peaceful,
And I am even not cold.
Slowly, I go always farther,
Feel that the world comes now to rest.
Fear and sorrow are falling from me,
And all is covered by the snow.
