WorshipIt's an act of love,Worship2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
and an act of war.
It's about music and dancing,
but it's also a lifestyle.
It's diversity is unmatched by anything else,
but it's unity is what makes it beautiful.
It's opening your mouth and singing,
and it's bowing down in surrender.
It's our way to express our love to God
and it's another way for God to express his,
and it's a way to crush the enemy's head with our feet.
There's so many mysteries about God yet to be discovered,
worship is one of the keys unlocking one of them.
My worship and praise to God will never die...
And I will always feind a new reason to worship each day...
Nothing will ever stop me...
God's GraceGod hears allGod's Grace3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
The thoughts you want no one to hear
The nonsense prayers of a volleyball game
The prayers of fear
The impossible prayers
The selfish prayers
To say you walk alone in this world
Is to let God's hand go
And battle the challenges of the world
As a person
A grain of rice
In a heaping pile
Life gets hard
We become hopeless
People judge us on our looks
They fall under temptations
But you have to stay strong
We must walk hand in hand with God
Accepting loss that seems unfathomable
Interlacing fingers with Him
And walking into a war zone
Knowing the grace of God will save your soul
Even if it doesn't save your body
Everyone's a sinner
But we are saved by Jesus
And the grace of God
Be my MatchmakerSometimes,Be my Matchmaker3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I want to fall in love -
but my feet are too steady,
stay firm on solid ground.
I think I am in love -
until my eyes refocus
onto just another frog.
I may have been in love -
or was it an illusion,
something I wanted to see?
I want to be in love -
but fear the fall may scrape my knees,
or muddy them.
What if it is not meant to be?
What if it is not good for me?
What if it's always a mistake?
I want to be in love -
what should I do about it?
What could have happened,
if each impulse I responded to?
you are the one
who holds the key to my heart.
Give it away to whom pleases you -
and were it no one.
Be my matchmaker,
for you know best.
IntoleranceThe world claims we are intolerant.Intolerance2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
That we are weak fools.
Claiming our beliefs are lies
While they worship false knowledge and sparsely dressed idols.
They persecute us and slander our names
While they roll in their adulteries and drink the blood of the saints.
They feed off lies and hide in the shadows,
Persecuting us for following the light.
We put up our crosses and hang our signs
While they scream at us to take it down,
Claiming it is offensive.
But when they hang up images of naked idols and scream profanities and practice their dark arts,
And we ask them to take it down, saying it is offensive,
They merely laugh
And wave us away.
They allow the practice of witchcraft
The screaming of profanities
Encourage evil deeds
Lust for blood spill
Spread deception and harmful rumors
And promote acts of impurity.
Yet they refuse to allow Scripture and the church.
They make it illegal to teach the Word to those who need it most
And punish those who try or even mention its name,

Come to me you who are hungry
Come to me you who are burdened
Come to me you who are shattered
Come to me you broken hearted
Come to me you whose hope has departed
Come to me you who are forgotten and shamed
Come to me you who are lost and pained
Come to me reprobates and sinners
Come to me slaves and prisoners
Come to me outsiders and outcasts
Come to me you whose sickness has come to pass
I am your abba father
I am your friend and brother
I am your gentle lover
I am your gracious savior
My mercy and grace will surround you
My peace and joy will be bountiful
My love shall certainly not fail
My plan and promises will prevail
My forgiveness will never come to an end
My showers of blessing to you I will send
My providing you will receive
My life is your hope and your need
I lived, died, and rose for you
I had the pain you are feeling to
Nails in my hands and feet
My body destroyed and left to bleed
I was mocked and scorned by ones I thought of as

RealizationRealization3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
A flood of heat entering my being,
like a cleansing flame devouring
darkness, fleeing away
like dead leaves on an autumn day.
A peace like no other,
brings a flood of understanding
flows through every part of me
till my heart is still.
How did I avoid You for so long?
Wrapped up in Your Word
but with ears shut to Your Spirit
"Listen" You said in my dreams
but when Your people spoke,
I quickly forgot.
It all came down to that one thing:
such a difficult concept,
but such a simple process.
So simple that it eluded me.
But it is just this:
My life, is Yours.
All of it.
Not just an hour of my day,
when I read Your word.
Not just a moment of my time,
when I ask You to help me.
Praising not only in those situations
when I am happy.
Every single cell of my body,
Every single breath I take in,
You gave me.
And I want to use this life,
that You granted me,
to glorify You.
So rid me of these

his touch makes you shiver,
his kisses go deeper
than your skin.
I see you want more,
you're ready to give in -
please tell him:
'cause you're worth more than that,
more than a hasty night or two.
You're more than your body -
does he care for your soul?
Please tell him:
and don't settle for less,
less than true commitment and love.
Your body is precious -
but would he pay the price?
Please tell him:
to the man to whom
you're just temporary
to the man whose love
lasts only a moment
and all too soon is gone.
to the man who's not willing
to pay the price you're worth,
for you are worth
his life, his death,
His words may sound sweet,
but he'll say them to another.
His touch makes you shiver -
tomorrow, someone else.
His kisses go deep
but not deep enough
for though you want more
how can you find satisfaction
in temporary love,
Crippled Woman: Worth MuchWho looks twiceCrippled Woman: Worth Much2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
at a crippled woman,
except to give her crooked looks,
crooked like her crooked back?
Crooked, not friendly -
for I am not normal,
I am a mistake,
a burden, not a blessing,
to all and to myself -
not worth much.
I am "just a woman".
I am "that cripple".
I am a failure
in this world bent on success.
Not worth much.
But now I see
your love, o Lord,
which values even me -
is what you call me -
not an outcast anymore.
You look at me so differently,
you lift me up,
you make me new.
I don't need to be perfect
to be perfect for you;
you love me
just as I am,
the one the world had thrown away.
And now I know: to you
I am worth much.

I am thankful for everything He ever gave me,
I could not have wished for anything more.
