Media: Adobe Flash CS5 Time: 3 days. (For real.) Comments: I felt like doing something nifty in flash this week, and this came up as good practice to help me get the swing of things. Anyways, there was a zillion things I wanted to add but figured, I would start with this and work up to other things later on C:
NOTE: Some accessories don't snap into place, letting you move them as you wish C:
dress up rah! :] still not sure if im completely finished with this piece but im running out of room for clothes o.o i still might go back and add a loading bar plus some music but here it is for now! enjoy~
oh my god. i think this has been a year+ in the works because of working on and off it and just not having the motivation to do anything. I AM SO GLAD I'M FINISHED, QUICK, THROW IT IN THE FIRE!!!!
it was also a challenge because this was the first time I was importing from SAI into flash which, might I add, is a pain in the goddamn ass for a game of this size. If this were a smaller game, it wouldn't have been nearly as annoying, but so many issues arose with things to do with transparency and the like......ugh.
this is my character that derived from a gaia avatar, who I just call Alice (my gaia name is Aliice In Wonderland) because I don't actually have a name for her yet OTL. so it's kinda weird calling my character after myself.....? but yeah she's a magician of sorts.
a lot of these outfits were taken from the different people I've commissioned to draw her and from versions I've created myself.
NOTE: please don't commenting asking me to add anything. There's a few more things I will add but that's it.
Yeah,so this is my first Dress Up Game ever! =^____^= I've spend 3 days on it and I'm so proud, becauso it turned out great! As you can see,I made a lot of clothes to dress up Shungi. Some of them are Disney inspirated and some of them are old things I wanted to use again Creating the clothes I had a lot of problems, because I did them on paper first with another Shungi model. Then I decided to redo Shungi again and the she had a bit more meat on her hips So I had to change all clothes on PC again. Then I had to work with a testversion of Flash and some colors turned out weird... I could fix a few of them, but I couldn't change the red dresses for example -____- Don't know why! This Tutorial helped a lot btw: [link] Thanks a lot to Well, have fun playing my game (I will do so,too XD) and if you would like to show me a screenshot of your cominations I would be really pleased ^^' Or you can just give comments, faves and critiques
You can find further explanations to the clothes here:
EDIT!!! BY THE WAY EVERYONE, CLICK HER HAIR, IT CHANGES!!! </EDIT>
ok ok it's not as great as i thought it would be because i haven't yet figured out how to do things at the same time yet. For example, to make the hair change, i created each hair style as a button, and put behaviours on each hair style (eg. on release go to and play hair2 etc) but for the hair not to play thorough as an animation i had to put a stop on each frame for every new hair do, which in turn stops all the other things, for example i had a song looping in the background, with a button to start and stop the music, it all worked fine until i put it on there and the stop(); action caused the music button to malfunction.
Other than that I guess I'm mildly pleased with it, disney princess hairdos are copyright to disney yada yada.
Also, I love doing this so much, if anyone wants me to make a dressup game of their character, I'll do it for them. Maybe one day I'll get really good and then i'll get payed for it how cooool
Oh and due to a rather popular complaint, I made her knickers removable
