Sam opened his eyes and stretched before sitting up in his bunk. He felt a bit groggier than usual this morning and his limbs were leaden and weighed down. He punched the bunk above him a few times, Jay mumbled something incomprehensible before rolling over in his bunk and started snoring again almost immediately. Sam shook his head and decided right there that the thing he missed most about living on a planet was having a room to himself. It took an extra amount of effort to climb out of his bunk, and it was starting to dawn on him that it might be more than early morning sleepiness dogging him. He stood there quietly listening to the ship for a few seconds; the rumble from the torch was definitely a bit louder than it had been so they were going somewhere in a hurry. There hadn't been an alert though so it couldn't be an emergency. He shrugged and shook Jay's arm a few times, "T

"Oh, fu-OOMF!" Silver almost fell over from the bear-glomp.
"DAMN IT WOMAN, GET OFF!" He groaned as he tried to shake the pig-tailed brunette off him.
An attempt which failed.
"For Arceus' sake, GET THE FUCK OFF ME, KOTONE!!" He raged, even louder than last time. Damn, this woman is getting annoying.
Noticing the agitation in Silver's voice was starting to get more intense, Kotone released her iron-grip on his shoulder, sighing.
"Sheesh, you're as grumpy as ever, Birthday Boy! And you're not in the New Year mood either!" Kotone argued.
'Oh yeah... today's the 31st of December...' Silver remembered. He lost track of the days when he went into solitary training. It was his birthday today, not that it mattered. He hated his birthday, in fact, he despised it. Today's no different.
"I got you a gift!" Kotone radiated, waving a gift bag in front of his face, oblivious to his downcast.
"Actually, I got you two gifts, one for New Years' the ot

Now that he thought about it, he doesn't have a girlfriend as a reason to be jealous for in the first place.

Silver leaned forward on the fence boringly, fingers impatiently tapping on the hard wood. He propped his chin with his right palm. His eyes gazed out in the open, mind flowing about since two minutes ago.
It irritated him to realize that the only idea bugging him now was none other than about his pesky rival.
Where the fuck is she? I haven't seen that brat for a month! What? Is she dead? Silver huffed harshly. He quickly shook his head and snapped out of his questioning trance. "Why do I care?" Finally, he had some peace and quiet. Finally, he could focus on his training and find a way to actually

"Why is your name 'Silver'?"
"I told you, I don't know!" Silver raged.
"You should know, it's your name!" Kotone argued.
"Are you going to give this up?"
"Yeah, I thought so. Look, I don't know, okay? You figure it out!" Silver said, raising his voice.
Kotone sat down on the grass and started to think. She was quiet for so long that Silver started to get worried.
"Hey... um, maybe it's because my eyes are silver... it's no big deal, Kotone..." Silver said, trying to break the ice.
"Silver..." Kotone whispered, head down.
"Your name... it... suits you." Kotone said, raising her head.
"Um, what do you mean?" Silver asked, unsure of what she was talking about.
"If you think about the metal, it's very much like you. Elegant and refined, yet bold and expressive." Kotone smiled genuinely.

Green paced back and forth, his head bewildered with massive worry and angst. His hand clamped his mouth, trying his best to calm down. His ears caught the soft murmurs of Eevee and Pikachu. The boy glanced at the two small starters. Both of them were worried as well. Pikachu showed more concern and fear in his eyes, his frown never gone from his face since he appeared on Green's doorstep.
Green let out of loud huff. He should have known better. That mountain is frickin' freezing for Arceus sake! People could die there!
He shivered viciously at the terrifying thought. Suddenly, he heard faint coughs inside his room. Without a single thought, Green slammed the door open. He could see the dark-haired boy, coughing and breathing weakly on his bed. The young leader rushed to his aid, legs moving like he was running a marathon. "Red!" he shouted in panic. The boy stood beside his bed, hands holding his friend's shoulder.

"I've written . . . most of a book," Shari said, his words slurring. He wasn't very drunk, but still more inebriated than he'd ever been before. "Based on my research into the Principle War. I wanted to do the same as this ancient book I read, that diagrammed the motion of the armies over the continent--oh, but I'm not terribly good at keeping my lines . . ."
Shari lifted his head, half-seeing the room around him for the first time. He pulled together the pieces--the towel racks, the wood benches, the warm humidity, the soapy odor, and several dozen other roko walking out of the dressing rooms wearing no clothing. When had they gone down to the baths?
"I'm, I'm sorry, how long have I been talking?" Shari said.
"About the time you finished your soup, you haven't shut up," Zure said.
Shari grinned at her stupidly.
The walls in the dressing room were lined floor to ceiling with cubby holes. Doorways led out in four directions: hot water (further down the hall from where they came i

Glancing back and seeing nobody, Shari left the residence hall. Compared to the air in the baths, the outdoor air was refreshing. For extra relief, he dunked his head into the large central fountain that laid between the four buildings. The cold shock only half-rejuvenated his mind, doing little to push out the drunkenness, but it was enough to clear away the tears.
The sun was down, and the stars hung in the sky, but the night was still far too young to see the sun's shadow, the black moon that moved always opposite. Reaffixing his glasses and the cloak, Shari sat on the fountain wall, still fuming. He was perfectly aware he was drunk, but despite this state he could not shake the final conclusion that he had come to: he absolutely had to get out of here and finish what the brigands had started a long time ago. Taking any more time waiting around would have only led to more risk at being discovered, more punishments and more injustice, while if he took off and failed, he would merely

"Captain," the ringel addressed from the viewscreen. The words lagged behind the image as the translator, unhooked from the central computer, struggled to interpret his language without help of the predictor module. The computer did a fine job of matching his voice, however, with its gruff, insulting tone. The ringel had kicked his boots onto the desk in front of him, and he held in each arm a ringel female.
Ringel were unlike the geroo; gray and white fur covered their slim bodies. They had round black noses instead of broad flat ones, and dark patches of fur most notable around their eyes. Were he not wearing boots, the ringel would be displaying his five-toed feet. Their tails compensated for their verminesque slenderness by growing thick bushy fur with dark rings--hence their moniker.
Given the sharp and accented manner in which he was dressed, in a fur-lined sleeveless vest and gloves, Ateri assumed it was for either confidence or intimidation. But this source of dread came from h

My kindness got the better of me and random people just used me.
The moment they realize this beast was harmless.
They took advantage.
From the very beginning, I was being used.
And when I finally realized that, I held a grudge.
I learned to hate her. Yet in the end I still fall under her lies.

I took your burden and placed it on my own shoulders.
Finally one day I just snapped at you, and you left me. Never to return.
That day I cried. But I was confused, my mind and heart couldn't make a choice.
Was these tears of happiness. Or sorrow?
Did the little girl inside me, who loved you so dearly, regret what I said.
Or was I happy, that finally, this cage I was in was now unlocked.

The winter months were mainly why I had chosen this spot to build Lockwood. That and, it was the only dimension I knew of without any intelligent life to build structures like humans did. My hand outstretched towards the sky as one of the snow flakes fell on my hand, freezing farther to make a snow flower. I sat up, snow falling off my black shirt as I examined the flower. The tiny frozen water drops glistened, as I could see my breath cover it in wisps. My small fangs sitting there with my mouth open as I let the flower melt and fall onto the ground. He had to urinate again, and did so in the field. His head ached like a vise being pressed around it--a hangover. He emptied his entire waterskin into his mouth before feeling able to walk just a little, despite all the sores in his feet, legs and back. “Ow,” he said.

To Be A HeroI have this little idea in my head.To Be A Hero3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
It always blooms on the verge of tragedy,
and all the drama of life that is,
I want to be a hero.
I crave it.
But it's not what I want,
I just have this idea in my head.
A very little one,
there is quite more to me.
I imagine myself dissecting the weakness of those who dare challenge me,
mankind in its self.
I can see their eyes,
with that evil fear that ends men's hearts.
It is the part of them that dies,
and allows for demons to take hold,
and rotten ideas to bloom in a rotten mind.
Enough of that,
Sometimes I feel I can understand the madness,
but I learn to not let it manipulate me.
The villains are weak.
They are weak,
and puny creatures.
They deserve to be punished.
I do not see myself a vigilante though.
I do not actively seek crime.
I am no dark night,
nor a boy wonder.
I am not a woman who stands on the wa
