Hello...
...and welcome to the third edition of #Sellers-Showcase's Special Newsletter, where we feature a selection of the latest work from our gallery and advertise some of our members who are currently offering commissions. Further on you will also find a selection of our favourite affiliate groups and links to our commission blogs.
About Us
So what is all the fuss about #Sellers-Showcase? Who are we and what do we do?
In the current economic climate, we know how hard it is for any artist to sell work or gain commissions. Therefore, at #Sellers-Showcase we aim to sell people's original traditional art, as well as advertise prints of traditional, digital and photographic work. We also promote artists who are looking to take commissions. We acc

Portland, OregonTell us a little about the art styles that you use:
I create collage, mixed media, painting and assemblage and I like to randomly combine things that when thrown together bring up all sorts of hints and suggestions for alternate meanings. Then I noodle with them and draw out more connections. Most of the time the connections are visual and not thematic. I like to think of my work as Abstract Expressionist, but it is often a bit surreal. I am happy to let the viewer create their own stories for my work. What are your tools of trade:

The spotted men are walking and a storm is close behind,
it's bound to get them soon and I hope they do not mind.
Sometimes you check the mirror and a storm is what you find.
I was going to bake a cake but my sugar had a flaw -
it was the meanest sugar that you ever saw.
I think that kind of sugar ought to be against the law.
I bought a can of freedom, so glad to make it mine -
freedom is not free, it cost a dollar forty nine.
If the can would only open, things would be just fine.
You still can see the pipes sticking up out of the ground -
the trucks would pull up to the place and make a pumping sound.
They don't deliver any more, we have to go to town.
I have a funky monkey who says his name is Stan -
on Tuesday he goes out and plays the banjo in a band.
When I have tea he comes to me and sits upon my hand.
Some people like to stay indoors with all the curtains drawn

`I do,' Alice hastily replied; `at least - at least I mean what I say - that's the same thing, you know.'"

Express yourselfPlease, take a look on the discussion about the rise of violent imagery: http://forum.deviantart.com/devart/general/1860407/ - which I think is a significant subject, and I encourage you to voice your opinion. I decided to share it, as for many years I've observed the same, and thus I share Liz's concerns about it.Express yourself1 week ago in Personal More Like This
You don't have to visit the certain corners of deviantART to experience what is talked about, it's enough to turn on tv, give a little thought to what is promoted in popculture, or just keep an eye on the Daily Deviations page, what I've been doing almost daily for years so far. And since some time I started to wonder what's going on - as rarely was there a time I haven't seen blood, mutilation, agression and overall dystopia (most of them displaying a complete lack of originality or a thoughtful message behind) being a considerable part of what is promoted there, not only as
Feed the wolfFeed the wolf1 year ago in Personal More Like This
You have to feed the wolf.
He does not want a grandmother.
He does not want a girl in red.
They would not enjoy it
and he could end up dead.
You have to feed the wolf.
He does not want a nightmare,
he does not want a dream.
Nightmares taste like old, dry bread
and dreams too fresh and green.
You have to feed the wolf.
He does not want the moon.
He does not want the stars.
He swallowed half the moon last night -
stars make his throat feel sore.
You have to feed the wolf.
He does not want a language
he never knew till now.
He swallowed seven just last week -
they all turned into howls.
You have to feed the wolf.
He does not want tomorrow,
does not want yesterday.
Despite their lovely fragrance,
when bit they slip away.
You have to feed the wolf.
Try roses. Yes.
He wants roses.

Hello dear members, watchers and visitors
This is the new way to find our winner of our POLL SYSTEM: instead using a Poll with the ten most voted of the period, we'll be using a blog to showcase the 20 MOST VOTED of this period!
This means, or so I hope, more exposure for your pieces and galleries.
The idea is simple: each work has a number and all deviants have the opportunity to vote like if it was a poll...with the difference that you will choose not one but 3 favourites!
All deviants may vote, INCLUSIVE who is participating; the participants may vote for themselves and ask friends and watchers to vote; this blog may have publicity by all means and be submitted in groups.
The work with most votes wins a 3 months sub, our usual prize.
Follow the RULES to VOTE...AND EVERYONE VOTING andING THIS BLOG will enter a draw to win 100
. The participants may and should click the Favourite Button too - you have another cha
