SeparatedThis wasn't where he wanted to be. Tears never used to leak down his face, until now. The faucet inside of him currently didn't want to stop. He could never feel them, but he knew they were there. He wanted to scream, he truly did... but somehow, whenever he tried, the tortured voice would get caught in his throat. Nothing but a squeak like a mouse hiding from a cat. Things weren't supposed to end this way.
She wasn't supposed to look like that. Her face was simply blank. Lifeless, some may say. He wanted to shake her awake, even tell her to get a hold of herself. She would never be able to listen. The poor man wanted to scream his tortured scream all over again. Didn't the woman want to live out her life? All she needed to do was get up. He knew it was a task never to be accomplished on his own.
She looked so pale, so empty. This wasn't the woman he once knew. He clearly remembered the way her smile glistened. Her cheeks used to hold such a glorious pink glow. Everything that she once
1 -- SHINee Lost BoysThe darkness was terrifying. The thuds grew louder and louder. A scream wanted to escape her mouth, but she didn't dare. She wanted to run away, yet it was impossible. All she could do was shiver and wait for the light to shine once again. That, and pray. Those footsteps grew closer, and her fears heightened. What danger awaited for her this time? The footsteps were loud, thunderous through her horror-struck mind. Would she ever live long enough to feel her face smile again? The door creaked open. 'No, please no! Please don't find me! A sudden ringing brought the lady back to the real world. She had been having reoccurring bad dreams lately, and she was happy to see she was back in her comfortable, fluffy bed. Pushing back her damp hair, she picked up her phone, which was currently playing "Can't Nobody" by 2NE1.
"Yah! Marilyn, I need you to get in to work early this evening!" a loud Korean voice woke the girl up earlier than necessary through her pink cell phone. Becau
11 -- SHINee Lost Boys"Why would Seung say sorry to you?" Mina questioned suspiciously once Marilee walked in, holding out a note card that indeed read, 'I'm sorry. Marilyn rubbed the bridge of her nose. She definitely didn't want to be dealing with this after the amazing date she'd just been on. It had only been about a half hour and she already missed the bliss, laughter, and kisses... and the boy that gave her all of those. Taemin's sweet face still glimmered in the back of her head. However, the lightness she felt from everything was starting to disappear from the actions of Seung. What was he up to?
"Um... I'm not... sure."
Mina rose a brow. "You honestly don't have any idea?"
Marilee wracked her brain, trying to come up with both the truth and what she should tell Mina after deducting it. Was he saying sorry for getting her fired? For everything? She didn't have a
2 -- SHINee Lost BoysThe boys were drooling, and it made Marilyn giggle. Not only were there boy groups coming into their workplace, but many girl groups, as well. Girls' Generation alone nearly made them pass out. They were shocked that not only SM Entertainment showed up, but also many groups and businesses that were on good terms with them. MBLAQ, BIGBANG, 2NE1... The whole building was full of idols. When these businesses threw parties, they definitely went full out.2 -- SHINee Lost Boys3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Although it was nighttime, the outside was filled with bright camera flashes and screams. A crowd of fans shrieked and attempted to reach past the bodyguards to their favorite idol. Hundreds of declarations of love were made in not even an hour.
Personally, Marilyn thought that the main reason Kwan was doing his best at deejaying that evening was because he wanted to impress everyone. That's just the way Kwan was... especially when pretty girls were watching him. These were the best of the best; the prettiest of the pretty. Luckily for him
12 -- SHINee Lost BoysMarilyn shot forward screaming with tears in her eyes. Her heart raced a mile a minute and, soon after, she began sobbing. It took awhile for her to realize that this world was reality and not what she had been dreaming of. Nonetheless, she couldn't stop shaking.12 -- SHINee Lost Boys2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Mina dashed into the room. Normally, she was dead asleep, or, when Marilee was still working, at work when the blonde had her nightmares. However, she had just been getting ready for work herself, planning on going in quite a bit earlier than normal, when she heard the shriek. Seeing Marilee break down like this tore Mina's heart. Rushing to the blonde's side, she sat on the bed and grabbed Marilyn, pulling her to her chest and hushed the girl.
"I'm here," Mina continuously repeated as she petted Marilyn's bed head away.
"I thought the nightmares stopped," she managed to choke out, clinging to Mina's middle. Marilyn felt, and probably looked, so helpless and pathetic.
"I know, I know. You've been real happy lately to make them
4 -- SHINee Lost BoysIt had been a few days since the party. As much fun as it was, it exhausted the staff. Their establishment had never been that full before. For days after the party, loads of customers filled Pulse up after hearing such good reviews of the place from the idols that had been there. Nights often ran long because of it.4 -- SHINee Lost Boys2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Marilyn had gotten a bunch of crap from her brotherly co-workers over the week. They never let up on her times with the idols. In turn, she was able to fire back, especially towards Kwan and his time with f(x). Of course, he didn't deny the flirting. He prided himself on it and was envied by over half of the other boys.
Things had started to calm down, though. Well, that's what Marilyn thought, until she was once again woken up unfavorably early. Eight A.M., to be precise. A continuous knock on the door pulled Marilyn out of bed, groaning. What was the difference of being woken up by door knocking during a nice dream and a phone ringing during a nightmare? With the bad dre
3 -- SHINee Lost BoysMinho, Onew, and Jonghyun had found their friends and after meeting Marilyn, joined the table. All of SHINee, MBLAQ, and f(x) stared up at Marilyn. A lesson was being taught.3 -- SHINee Lost Boys3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"Hey," a voice broke the lesson. Hyun-Ki looked down at the only standing person, who was also the only one technically not doing her job. Marilyn's previously laughing face turned sheepish. Hyun-Ki handed off some more drinks before continuing, "We need your help downstairs for a second, Lee Lee."
"LEE LEE!" everyone cheered, happy with something they could finally pronounce. The group started clapping with their new found knowledge.
"Your name is Lee Lee?" Onew asked.
"Mhm, one of my nicknames." Marilyn grinned. Maybe she should stick to telling people her name was Lee Lee from now on...
"Lee Lee~!" Hyun-Ki's voice was warning.
"'Kay!" Marilyn gave a small bow to the idols. "Thank you for being so friendly, everyone!"
"No, wait!" Jonghyun shot up, loo
5 -- SHINee Lost BoysIt was hard to stay asleep. The nightmares were too scary. She hadn't had ones this bad in quite some time. She tossed and turned throughout the night and tried to keep asleep when morning came. Finally, she gave up. Marilyn rolled out of her bed and walked out to the living room.5 -- SHINee Lost Boys2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"Marilee!" Mina exclaimed, looking up from the television with a bright smile. Well, at least one of them had a good night's sleep.
"Heeeeey," she greeted back in English tiredly, heading into the kitchen for some breakfast. Mina hopped off the couch and watched Marilyn as she pulled out some fruits. The Korean girl laughed at her American twin's bed head and ran her fingers through the blond hair, attempting to put it back in place tenderly.
"Ahh, didn't get much sleep?" Mina guessed, leaning against the counter. Marilee did enjoy cooking, but when she was too sad or tired to, she often opted for the easy options. Fruit was her favorite easy option for the mornings, other than cereal.
"Mm..." she grumbled ba
