Edward looked as if he were in a dazed and happy dream, his eyes did not once leave Kim's granddaughter's face, and he did not move, as if he was afraid that with one tiny movement she would vanish like a burst soap bubble.
Moira was now sitting comfortably cross legged on the floor, as though she had been accustomed to this strange empty manor house and its alarming occupant all her life.
She had spread her hoody beneath her for a cushion against the chilly floorboards and was now holding forth to an attentive Edward, who was sitting very carefully nearby.
Looking at him as she was speaking, Moira wasn't sure if Edward even believed she was real. He had been up here alone for such a long time, with his own thoughts and dreams, and he must have dreamed of Her so long and so often that perhaps he wasn't surprised that one day his dream had the power to become reality. What was reality like for him now, Moira wondered? She couldn't resist a tiny shiver the atti
Sweenett chapter 10Sweeney Todd opened his eyes. It was five in the morning. Well, he'd better get up or else, he was going to be late. His new house was outside of town and it took him a long time to get in the city. This was the only disadvantage of it. He knew, 'cause he had made sure. It was almost half a year ago when he bought the house. It was old and ready to fall down, but he renovated himself. It took him a long time and energy, but it was worth it.Sweenett chapter 104 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
He left the house and started to walk to the city, to Julius Brown's house. The man was not that bad. In fact, Sweeney might have liked him if he was not Nellie's new husband. But that he would never forgive him. Five months ago he offered him a job in his company. Julius owned a ship construction company. Despite the fact that he was a rich man, Sweeney had learned, Nellie made her own money and that's how she sent Toby away to boarding school and saved money for little Helen. She was still a baker and a good one.
He reached Julius's house. Every d

The lapels of his black cloak flapped into his face, but the man continued quietly through the late November wind. He hoped it wouldnt begin to snow. His long stride was thrown off a bit, considering he clutched the handle of a small, but heavy crate in one hand. Within were glass bottles filled with a gleaming juice unlike anything that anyone in the down dropping away from him at the bottom of the hill could purchase in the department store. Each vial was meticulously and securely plugged with a cork. He gave a glance to the graveyard a ways away.
A movement in the forgotten flower garden caught his attention. His right hand tensed, preparing to plunge his hand into his pocket and draw his wand. Seeing scales among the crisp corpses of magnolias, he relaxed a little and allowed his Masters pet to pass.
The dark wooded doorway yawned in front of him.

The bells ring out
On this glorious day
Loved ones come
All will gather
Within one room
Both the kin
Of Bride and Groom
Here the Father
Will take a stand
As everything goes
According to plan
The Groom stands unaided
Awaiting with pride
Down the aisle
Comes the Bride
As two young lovers
Meet face to face
The Father says
His words of grace
The Groom then turns
Before his Bride
The words repeat
Within my mind:
"With this hand
I will lift your sorrows
Your cup will never empty
For I will be your wine
With this candle
I shall light your way into darkness
With this ring
I ask you to be mine"
As the Groom
Concludes his vows
The Bride is lent
Her turn to rouse:
"With this hand
I will lift your sorrows
Your cup will never empty
For I will be your wine
With this candle
I shall light your way into darkness
With this ring
I ask you to be mine"
As the two
Are nearly wed
Their loved ones view
With tears to shed
Their love is holy
Their love is true
Their new life starts
When they say "I

They came up from the black water like a battalion of abused skeletons. Dressed in cloudy grey, the prisoners-turned-fugitives, emerged, sopping, and dropped into the damp, dark sand. Not all of them managed to succeed against the unforgiving under-toe and many limp frames were dragged back, limbs flopping weakly. Some of them never surfaced again, leaving the shoreline with the simple, desperate memory of a hand or a forehead slipping beneath the murk. Those that pulled forward, clawed at the beach, clinging with ragged and grubby nails. One, spewing seawater from his mouth, clutched a knot in his strained muscles. Another of the frail group collapsed on his hands and knees, his long, matted hair draped over his head and dripping with cold water. None of them spoke for nearly a quarter of the

All he got were a few grunts and something dangerously close to a broken whimper in response, and that set Dean ablaze with anger like he hadn't known in far too long. This was the anger that came with him knowing that someone he loved was getting hurt

My head is turned to the wall,

It won't be long before I fall.
When I join her in her bed,

Sepia shadows striated the dusty wooden floorboards of a long abandoned attic. The silence was as soft as the worm eaten rafters and yet was there a breath softer than silence? A spider's dark shadow in the far corner against the wall shifted ever so slightly. There ran the spider, away, skittering over the bare beams, but somehow the long and crooked shadow remained.
A figure drifted from the gloom, less purposeful than the spider, yet horribly alike. It was almost as if a designer, drawing up plans for a fantastically thin and looming spectre, had conceived this very figure on paper as the true spirit of a spider, all legs, and horrid black angularity and yet had compromised in the face of practical reality and was finally able only to produce a mere insect.
No spider in a child's worst nightmare could have matched this black and ragged apparition of dust and apparent decay. The creature appeared to be composed of scraps, spare parts and limbs bound tog

Summary: One shot, Jack and Teague. For father's day.
Captain Teague watched the brawl from his seat without a word, his heavily jeweled and bandaged hand at his mouth, watching through ink lined eyes.
Jack had started it. The boy was still young, and willful, and foolish with a tongue sharper than his sword. If only hed learn to use it as well.
Teague did nothing to intercede. His son would have to learn to choose his battles wisely and fight them on his own, or he would never survive in the cut-throat world hed been born into. It would be a lesson learned the hard way. His son, so much like himself, was too stubborn to listen.
Jack cried out as he was battered ruthlessly by the other pirate, a much bigger man than himself, at least twice Jacks age and three times his strength. Jack was quick, but not fast enough. The other man battered

"Yep. It sure is a nice place," added Stu. He looked back at Freddy. "I know YOU have been here!"
"Don't remind me," Freddy said looking away.
"Huh?" Sadako looked at Stu confused.

When the food was ready, Sadako called out to the others. They came in and prepared their hotdogs with whatever they wanted on them. Sadako scooped beans onto their plates as they passed by. Stu placed out cups with the pitchers. Everyone, and eventually the ones who helped prepare the meal, all sat down at two tables they pulled together. The meal was delicious. They all laugh

The only time he seemed to get to see her was when she had her heart broken, again, by another. Even knowing how pathetic it was to hang onto his longing for her, and how he would gladly usher her into his home to let her cry out all the tears to be shed, Luke continuously allowed such behavior. A perfect whole heart is hung out on a line.
Over time it gets chipped and knacked, but this my friend is a simple fact.
I'll tell you this story,
Beginning to end.
From when pain was my enemy, to when pain was my friend.
It started out when I was young,
I guess it was the crowd I was among.
I was told things, no one should hear.
Sometimes I hear the words still lingering in my ear.
The pain engulfed me, like a hot, burning flame.
It knew all about me, down to my name.
It knew how to hurt me, and hurt me it would.
I would have stopped it if I could.
I looked up and saw pain's evil grin,
All he was doing was pulling me in.
I walked the earth like the living dead,
While pain's evil voice echoed in my head.
My dreams turned to nightmares, my nightmares to life.
I ran out of choices, so I turned to the knife.
The knife drew blood, the blood relieved stress,
No one but me knew of this mess.
The guilt and pain ate away at me,
Like a bloodthirsty flea.

Astrid looked up from her ax (perfectly sharp as always, but it never hurt to check) at Ruffnut. They were sitting on a large, flat rock near the outskirts of town, alternately chatting and just sitting companionably in silence. Apparently Ruffnut wanted to start the conversation again, but Astrid wasn't sure what she meant. Did the boys fool around when they didn't have anything else to do? (Of course.) When they should be doing work instead? (Yes, sometimes.) She opened her mouth to ask for clarification, then saw the wicked grin on Ruffnut's face, and the leering quality in her eyes. Ah. That kind of 'fooling around.'
"You mean, all of them together?" Astrid asked instead, because there were multiple iterations of "the boys" and Odin only knew what Ruffnut was thinking

The smell of rain and the distant rumble of thunder promised the coming of a storm as a lone mouse made her way down the street, her hair whipping about her face as the wind began to pick up. Pulling her cloak tighter about her, Amber hastened her footsteps toward home, her boots clicking against the pavement noisily. It was never good for anyone to be caught outside in the middle of a storm, much less a mouse like herself. It was also a bad idea for anyone to be out at this time of night alone when thugs and alley cats preyed the streets. Amber gulped and glanced about nervously, recalling the terrible stories of the recent killings. The most chilling discovery was that every victim was entirely drained of blood. Mousedom was seized with terror, every citizen afraid that they might become the next victim. And just when we had needed him most…
The Great Mouse Detective suddenly disappeared.
A painful sadness descended on her at the memory. Since the first murder, Basil had grown
