I woke up this morning, as I usually do. Then I stared blankly at the blurry ceiling over my head for a good while, which is also something I usually do. After that had been accomplished, I sat up slowly, picked my glasses up off my bedside table, and promptly dropped them. A few minutes of blind searching later, I finally slid them onto my nose. Who would have thought that such thick, black rims would be so difficult to find? I guess Im just that blind.
Finally in possession of sight, I took care of the second most important part of my morning: my coffee. Shuffling into the kitchen, I swore under my breath when I realized that I hadnt turned on the coffee maker last night. Now Id have to wait a whole five minutes for my life-giving liquid to brew. Ah, cest la vie. I flipped the switch to start the water trickling through the filter and went to get my mail.
