Sage 3Sage opened her green eyes and stretched; the sun had just come up and she was ready to move into Stark Tower today. Her bags were packed and her father had made sure that Tony had everything ready. Standing, the teenage girl flexed her sleep-stiff muscles before opening the blinds to her room fully and letting in the sunlight.
Her room faced the east, so the sun coming in lit up the entire room through the sheer green curtains as she undressed to shower. Sage had never felt shy with her body, never been able to, and didn't care that her silhouette could be seen through the window past her curtains.
Be-de-deep be-beep be-de-deep be-beep; her phone rang from the charger and she picked it up, recognizing the ringtone instantly. "Yes, Master Kao?"
"Sage; do you think you could come in today for some extra training to get ready for the competition tomorrow? You know I can't have my prize student in anything but tip-top shape,"
"Of course, Master Kao; I have a prior engagement later this ev

Go and kiss me in the rain
Come on and find me
Get on that northbound train
Tell me that you love me
Fight the whole damn world
It will show me what I mean to you
It just takes one brave word
Tell me that I'm perfect
God, it makes me thrive
Does it not apply to you?
Come on, is chivalry not alive?
I need you to tell me I'm beautiful
It helps me get through life
Its like you think its hurting me
Like stabbing me with a knife
Please, just before you leave
Call me beautiful, one more time
Know that you have saved me
From taking the life of mine

For your heartbreak or love.
For your tears or smiles.
For you pain or your bliss.
I write for me.
For my tragedies.
For my happiness.
For my pain.
To get what no one wants to hear,
out of me.
To let my voice be heard.
I write these stories about
because these are things the world
chooses to ignore.
Love and a happy ending,
what everyone wants.
That's not what I give.
I give these "unhappy" endings
to show you,
that not everything is
"happily ever after."

"Should we wake him and head out?" Katara asked, hoping the answer was no.
"We only have half a day of travel ahead of us. If we leave now, we could be there by early evening. I'd say we have a few hours to spare." Aang smiled at her and her heart beat faster.
Katara wanted to acquiesce but their mission couldn't rest. "But what of the village? I hate to say this, but aren't we in a hurry?" She scuffed her toe, feeling guilty at wanting to forget responsibility and spend this beautiful day above the clouds with Aang.
She watched as Aang's smile faltered and his face darkened. Clearly he felt the same internal conflict. "We should go My people need me."
With the epidemic heavy on their minds, they finished packing up their gear. When all that was left was Sokka and his sleeping rolls, they woke him and packed his things while he was still blinking bl

Horace had jumped off of Kicker, and was pacing back and forth. Evanlyn sat on the ground, her beautiful face, Horace thought, stained with dirt. She was shivering out of nerves or cold, he could not tell.
Clip-clop, clip-clop, clip-clop. Horace heard it first, the soft clip-clopping of horses hooves. Thats no battle horse, he said as he stood up, trying to see into the trees. The clip-clopping stopped.
Horace, come here
What, Horace replied, slightly taken aback. He heard Halts irritated sigh. Well, at least Will is alive, thought Horace noticing that Halt would be more subdued and sad if Will was dead. Which he obviously wasnt because Halt was in one of his grim and irascible moods. In truth, Halt was more worried and sad then he let in. But as he suspected if he acted grim, Horace would not be as worried. At least until he realized the full nature of Wills condition, he thought dryly.
Horace stepped into the trees and

"Yes. So?" she had woken up the second I touched her, but she was just too pretty to just leave-be because she was awake. Her lean frame curled into a ball away from me; her bright blond hair falling sleep-thrown and knotted down past slender shoulders.
"Leave me alone. I'm awake now." I grinned wider and crawled closer to her. She shied away. I made her bright blue eyes meet my dark brown ones. "Please don't hurt me " she whimpered.
"I wouldn't hurt you, not ever." I promised, she bit her lip and still looked scared. I touched her arm lightly and she froze. "Settle down a bit, relax." I made a bottle of wine appear as well as a glass. She stared at it as I poured the liquid and offered her some.
"How do I know it's not poison?" she asked. I chuckled and took a sip.
"I told you that I wouldn't hurt

The diplomat sighed.
The ranger raised an eyebrow.
Pauline gave a frustrated sigh.
"Fine," she said, "There are...you know...whispers."
Halt gave a snort.
"Yes. Whispers. About my career."
Pauline's career was rising dramatically, and many narrow-minded men were crying foul. Women in the work force was radical enough - but a woman at the top of her chosen career?! Outrage!
Halt sighed. Some people.
"Well, what are they about?"
"They're just...you know..." For once in her life, Pauline was at a loss for words.
"People are talking about how I'm an 'independent woman' and yet I'm seeing you. They're calling me a hypocrite." she said finally, adding a sigh to the end of it.
Halt growled - a low, guttural sound - without even realizing he did.
"Idiots," he snarled.
"Idiots with power." Pauline agreed with a sad nod. She looked down at their entwined hands.

When her mood darkened her eyes went grey with the storm; the flashes of the blue light pulsating within the boundaries of her ocular cavities to mirror the sky above her. As it cleared and left the sky clean with the black night and the twinkling stars.
Talkative and fanciful she was always ready to have fun; though her emotions were as liquid as the rain and lucid as the weather she created.

The Skandian sputtered and tried to look anywhere other than Halts eyes. Halt was smaller than him, but had a sense of power that was far greater than his own. Dont you ever touch him again, whispered Halt in a barely audible voice. The Skandian hated being told what to do, so he abandoned sense and reason. He would kill the boy, even if the forester hurt him afterwards. He would see the mans look of shock and cry of agony for the small boy tied onto the table next to him. He would! He just needed a chance too. It did not occur to him, that Halt could probably destroy him and his entire range of allies within half an hour.
Halt glanced quickly down at Will, who was struggling to breathe. Then he heard the door creak, he wasnt concerned, he could get out of the way if he had too. One of the guards had returned, seeing the forester, he slipped a dagger from his boot using his cloak to muffle the sound. Normally Halt would have n

I wake to the sound of screaming. Horrible blood curdling screams mixed with strange war cries and the smell of fire. I blink slowly, trying to process what my senses are telling me. I yawn tiredly, then instantly break into a fit of coughs as I accidentally inhale some of the smoke that was curling up from the crack under my door. Trying not to breathe, I throw the blankets off of myself, scramble out of bed and hurry to the window. My fingers fumble with the latch on the window. Seemingly after an eternity, I managed to get it open, only to find that the window is frozen shut. No! This can`t be happening! I can`t get stuck in here! I don`t want to die! The thoughts of burning to death send pure terror coursing through me, which seemed to give me new strength. I heave as hard as I can against the window. It rattles a little, but sticks. With a cry of frustration, I slam into it again, and this time the window creaks open. I tumble out, right into a snow ba

It was a grey day, typical of the season, and they flew just below the cloud cover. If Katara extended her arm, she could reach into the thick cloud. She did so, and she laughed as bits of cloud swirled behind them and covered her hand with cold water droplets.
She glanced around at her companions and found Aang watching her. Where just a few days ago Katara would have averted her eyes and ignored him, today she held his gaze and smiled. Aang blushed at her attentions, but smiled back a little hesitantly.
