I'm trapped in this upside down world
where left is right,
home is another word for prison,
love never lasts,
and showing emotion is weakness.
It feels as if I'm suffocating.
Though alone in this empty space
there's no room to breathe.
A walking thunder storm,
ready to strike those who come close.
Though the sun shines its rays across the sky
darkness surrounds me,
encasing my black heart.
Cut-off friends,
ignorant family,
lost love.
I try to rebel against such madness,
forgetting that I'm invisible.
A ghost imprisoned on this sad planet.
Never will I be seen nor heard
for I am trapped in this upside down world.

Most of them hide out in the wood
Unseen by human eyes
Unnoticed, they fight for the greater good
You can hear their battle cries
the memories of war
when they pulled out their swords
from tree to tree they soar
some dressed high and royal like a lord
The king's son was in love
with such a being as her
shot by cupid above
making his emotions stir
A beautiful dress did the Elvin girl wear
along with her curly long hair

She thought he held the key to her heart,
her one and only love.
She wished for them to never be apart
as she looked to the stars above.
Sparkling raindrops fell from the sky
when she had her first kiss,
but soon thier love began to die,
such wonders she did miss.
Now only images appear in her head
Each of them a memory, seeming so unreal
Many tears she had shed
But her heart will learn to heal
And for now my story has come to its end.
May my heart soon mend

Cherishing Life
---------------
There once was a man, who told me,
The World can be seen in many ways,
He guided me out of my doorstep,
To taste the fresh dawn of day,
He said to me,
"Look beyond the shadows,
The Dark Times that are ahead,
Look at the world you live in,
There is nothing not to cherish from living to dead,
Look at the ones, who hold you close,
The promises they have made,
Look at the Warm Hearts that surround you,
The blooming buds and the springs and Ponds to wade,
The kindness of others to blossom,
The trees that stands so tall,
Will you my friend protect them?
Or let the world only fall?
You are a small lit

There will be days
when the sun's rays
do not shine from the Heavens.
There will be days
when cold and rain cometh
and pours upon the Earth
as people scamper about.
There will be days
when a pink smile
and coy bright eyes
is all that you give.
There will be days
when that is enough
and will make my heart
shine brighter,
and hotter,
than any sun.
And part the rains,
And lessen the cold,
And cast all that gray
away.
There will be days.

In the heart of Venice, Italy was a small café. It was not a popular tourist hot spot; it wasn't even all too well known among the locals. It was simply a tiny establishment on the side of a smaller waterway that branched off from one of the river flows that went through the center of town. The inside was very small, but elegantly decorated with silk and lace. Small candles sat in between every table and a waiter with a suit served hot tea. Outside the café were several small round tables made of iron. The metal curved in smooth patterns around the bases of the cushioned chair; it all looked deceptively delicate, especia

The velvet fabric
soft against her skin,
yet offers no warmth.
A dress of roses
In which she pretended to be someone else.
Even the sky knew how she felt
without her ripped-up old jeans
and the comfort they bring.
The only thing they saw
A beatiful girl,
the person behind the fabric,
her heart and soul hidden from those
who only seek beauty.
I wonder will they ever see
the real me.

I kept telling myself it was just my imagination (I definitely had a big one), but my instincts told me otherwise. I finally made it to the bathroom where I waited in silence for Casey. Looking at the entrance I realized someone else was there or at least I felt like another person was there. I'd been staring at the entrance for what seemed like hours when in reality it had only been a couple minutes.
"You came." a voice said from behind me.
"Don't scare me like that!" I exclaimed once I saw it was Casey.
"So..." She replied, sizing me up as if she were trying to determine if I was good enough, "You're it? You're Camryn?"
"How'd you kno

"Shhhhhh" the wind seemed to be saying.
I started to take in my surroundings, having no idea where I was or how I got there. The light of the blinding sun filtered through the trees' branches, making the dew on their leaves shine with perfection. The sweet smell of daffodils covered, the forest of trees around me.
"You have come..." a voice suddenly said, breaking the silence.
Out of nowhere a young girl appeared in front of me. She could've been in kindergarten, still all chubby from when she was a baby. Her long hair, the color of silver, trying to hide her dark purple eyes like a sword protecting valued gems. The girl was bare

A two-story, blue and white house sat on Sun street, where a beautiful green lawn could be seen. Roses, daisies, and tulips rested in pots near the front door. Birds chirped, attracted by the bird bath in the middle of freshly cut grass. Inside were paintings, both realistic and abstract, that hung up on hallway walls. They had been painted by the owners of the house, a great hobby for both of them to enjoy. The living room held two satin couches, a wooden coffee table, and an old fireplace. Three pictures sat above the fireplace in a straight line, on top of the mantle. The picture on the right was a little boy covered in chocolate cake

A city filled with lights,
Is what it appears,
But it is more, so much more.
What you don't see
Are the dark alleys, dangerous street corners and the gangs hiding in the park.
You don't see the drug dealers in the parking lot or the Mafia in the warehouse.
A beautiful city filled with love and life,
You could believe that.
Yes, continue to believe in your false reality filled with good
And I shall paint it all BLACK.
To show you my reality with my paint brush
Just black.
Colors?
Why they'll all turn black like my heart.
I'll watch everyone walk by dressed in "summer" clothes
While you all turn your heads I'll watch my darkness

her detailed eyes in the moonlight,
her smile of a thousand roses,
I closed my eyes, sigh-
