This is also part of the commission I made for ~Beltaneh. These ramen bowls and cherry (sakura) flowers hang down from a couple of hair chopsticks. The ramen bowls are made similar to my previous attempts, except that this time I added broth and I think I finally got the shrimps right! FINALLY actually these are the second ramen bowls I made for this commission, I ruined the first pair so I had to scrap them, so it took me four different tries to get the shrimps like I wanted.
The cherry flowers were made with a custom blended color, I wanted them to be slightly translucent but warm and happy. They are cut with some cutters that my fiancé bought me in a craft event, so I don't know where to get them, sorry they're arranged to look like a small bunch of flowers.
I love to make polymer clay cakes. I love them so much that I have to restrain myself from making them, because I don't want to be "the girl that only knows how to make cakes".
A tutorial to make them has received the most request any other tutorial has I've been working on it for a long time, but I always want to add something else, a photo, an explanation, a different technique... so in my eyes, it's never finished. So I figured that setting a deadline will help me finish it...
So there, I'll upload it tomorrow, February 13th and stop obsessing about it. Wait for it!
These are many cakes I made for the tutorial the blue and pink ones are my new favorite cakes EVER. They're so cute
More cakes made by me:
Edit: YES! I made it on time wohoooo tutorial here:
This was a commission for ~FalconFossi and it was really fun and stressing at the same time (you can read her comment about it here [link]) fish is difficult for me and I wanted it to be perfect. She told me that sashimi was her favorite food and wanted me to make a tray with fish and a dragon roll if I could fit it somewhere, but she also left me a lot of creativity freedom to decide what to include and how to organize everything (yay, fun!). Veggies, rice and ginger was okay but no wasabi. She kinda dared me to make the shiny metallic skin of mackerel and I love how it turned out. Salmon and tuna were also in her list of favorites and I thought the colors would work great.
She sent me a lot of references for the plate but I decided to go with this one: [link] I've never made a tray before so I had to figure out a way to make the shape. I took tips from this tutorial by ~lava-tomato when I made the salmon but I think I can still improve. The salmon and mackerel were made using my own technique. The roll was constructed using a similar technique than what's shown on this tutorial by *chat-noir except that with a smaller scale, and the avocado is a simple skinner blend. The cucumber, lemon and raddish/fish cake are canes I made using my own techniques.
She wanted to make a bracelet out of this so she asked me to make holes on the tray, I hope that she'll post photos of the bracelet when it's finished so feel free to check :devfalcon-fossi: out. I was also asked to make everything relatively flat because she was afraid that with her active life-style anything would get caught, so on the second photo you can see that nothing protrudes too much. This took a lot of love, research, time and work, but this is just the type of work I love to do
Technical stuff: All handmade by me with polymer clay without the use of molds, bought pieces or pre-mades. Acrylic paints were used for the black border on the tray, silver mica for the skin of the mackerel and glaze to make the plate look porcelanized and the fish and fruit look moist. The plate is 2.5 cm - 1 inch long, so everything is really small but I don't think you can take that from the photo XD
Hot dog! So this is really old... like 6 months old? My backlog is only getting bigger now xD I made this for the crafty =moofestgirl, she told me she likes big charms so I made my best to make this bigger than my usual charms. It was quite a challenge for me because I tend to make everything small, so I had to make it re-do it a couple of times until it was big enough.
I like the way the bun looks, next time I think I'll make the sausage look grilled or something like that, and I don't like the way the mustard and ketchup blended a bit on the middle, so that's in my list of things I can improve next time. The sausage was more or less inspired by this tutorial [link] because I had no idea how to make a sausage xD
This was a commission for ~guinluvsc, she wanted something like my lemon pie earrings but without the pie, which is funny because I always though that the pie was the interesting part. They ended up looking a lot like the earrings ~Madizzo made, she was the one that inspired me to start making citrus earrings. She's super nice, when I asked her if I could borrow her idea she said she couldn't have been the first one to think about it, and gave me permission to go ahead. Really, visit her gallery it's madeofpureawesomeness.
This is made after my lemon pie earrings which were based on my orange cake earrings which were inspired by ~Madizzo's lime halves dangle earrings whew! a complete circle
Materials: Polymer clay, metal findings, glaze.
Polymer clay pralines! I had fun making them. But someone bit them!
I was trying new techniques... I made the decorations with red polymer clay (which didn't turn out well), polymer clay with TLS (which was nice but hard to pipe so thin) and two brands of 3D paint (the glossy one turned out much better).
My conclusion: this is easier to make with glossy 3D paints, but a tip this thin clogs easily For the mint leaves I forgot about the tip and used a pin, I think that's the one that turned out better!
I also found out how to make those bite marks I like one but hate the other, guess which one I made first?
Comment and suggestions are always much appreciated
Part of the hair chopsticks I was commissioned to do by ~Beltaneh, this fan goes on top of one of the chopsticks. When she said she wanted a fan I immediately knew I wanted to do something like what ~Laurefin-Estelinion did, without copying her of course. This is my take on her original idea.
I don't know why I thought it would be a good idea to make it reversible... it looks gorgeous, of course, but it was quite complicated to do XD well at least those chopsticks will look good from anywhere you look at them! I really liked how it turned out
