A Slightly Cruller Fate, Part Four "OW!" Luna danced around her office, waving frantically at her tongue. "Ow, ow, ow-ow-ow!" As the pain died down, Luna took a look at her tongue in the nearby mirror.A Slightly Cruller Fate, Part Four3 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
The papercut was surprisingly small, considering that Luna felt as if a flaming hot donut hole had been crammed into her oral cavity. She turned from the mirror, tongue still sticking out, and glared at the half-open envelope on her desk.
"Blathted pen requithithon forms," she spat.
Almost immediately, somepony knocked at the door. "Who ith it?"
"It's Celly. May I come in?"
After a quick effort to put her office in some recognizable semblance of order, Luna sat calmly behind her desk. "Come in," she said, barely remembering to suck her tongue back in.
Celestia entered. "Good morning, sister."
"Good morning, Celly," replied Luna, winc
Airshipping Is MagicThe morning air was crisp and cool with barely a breeze blowing. The sky was crystal blue, and the rays of the sun played lazily across the green countryside. It was the perfect day, thought Twilight Blimple, for a flight.Airshipping Is Magic4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
The little purple sparkly blimp slowly rose into the air, enjoying the wind as it played across her surface. Her propellers spun into life as she turned in a westerly direction, the fluted spire that jutted out from her control deck pointing the way.
Twilight wasn't a big blimp. Her gasbag was large but stubby, her fins small and protruding, and her purple gondola cabin was slung almost apologetically underneath. Growing up as a little balloon in the big city she had always been jealous of the other airships, who always seemed to be more graceful than she. But soon study had paid off.
Today, she was on an important mission. Today she had to ferry vital medical aid across Airquestria. A hailstorm had hit the town of Hull, and puncture repair kits were urgently needed.

Twilight Sky Over Canterlot
I woke up with my muzzle pressed tight against the rough cast of a blue plastered wall, and for a moment, I was sure I was still dreaming.
Nopony. Just the blue wall and me.
Yes, I remembered, that's right, I'm not dreaming, as my eyes adjusted and the features of my old dorm room at Canterlot U slowly slid back into place. I'm not dreaming, I'm back here again. I shuffled around in the bed. I'd kicked the sheets off in the night and they lay in a heap on the floor right where Spike's little basket used to sit. He used to hate when I'd do that! Hehe.
My attention shifted to the very foot of the bed, where I contemplated the unfamiliar sight of my old window. I gently moved some books off the sill and unlatched the window with my mouth.

Oh my gosh, that was AWESOME! At least from where I was sitting.
What about you, though? Were you surprised? Were you, were you, huh? Huh?
What do you MEAN, no? Hmmm... I guess I just wasn't surprise-y ENOUGH! Hang on, I'll do it again.
Ooooh, there! Much better!
Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie, and my job in Ponyville is to spread joy and laughter to aaaaaaanypony I meet! If they're not smiling, then it means I need to work even harder! Leave no frown left upside down!
Um... I mean, NOT upside down. I think.
And you? You're a book I just received from a friend. Aaaaaand you're being written in by a pen I just had lying around the place. In other words, you're special, but the pen... uh, not so much?
Either way, prepare to be filled with loads of fun adventures sinc
Blood is Thicker Overall, the day had shaped up to be a usual one for the citizen of Ponyville. Early that morning, she woke up, took care of her usual morning chores, and then went about with her typical Friday morning. She trotted over to the market to buy groceries, stop in at Sugarcube Corner for a quick chat with Pinkie Pie, then went home for lunch. However, that was when her usual schedule ground to a complete and utter halt. Just as she dug into her daisy and daffodil sandwich, a knock sounded on her front door.Blood is Thicker4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Irritated, the pony groaned. Couldn't she ever sit down to eat in peace? She reluctantly got out of her seat and walked over to the front door, opening rather suddenly, about to chew out whomever dared interrupt her meal. There, standing at the door stood the most introverted Pegasus she had ever known... none other than Fluttershy; Ponyville's resident animal expert. "Oh... um," she started, her voice barely more than a whisper. "I... I know it's close to
This Is Your LifeThe courtyard of Canterlot Castle was packed to the brim and beyond. All eyes were on a currently empty stage, waiting patiently for the festivities to begin. This Is Your Life4 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Another Grand Galloping Gala? Perish the thought; tonight's event would far outshine it in terms of size, spectacle, and--depending on who you talked to--sheer importance.
Finally, it was time. A regal voice sounded over the speaker system:
"Greetings, one and everypony! You may know me as Luna, Princess of Equestria, but in mere moments I shall stand here as yet another one of you--that is to say, yet another satisfied client!"
As the audience wondered just their Princess meant by this, Luna slowly flew in from stage left, clad in an elaborate silken navy blue evening gown. Said gown was frilled from top to bottom, with the patterns of those frills giving off the faintest of alabaster radiance.
The audience, now in understanding, pointed, gasped and chattered in awe. Never had their Moon Princess looked so mysterious, yet so inv
Twilight's Last Gleaming"...And it was oatmeal!" Rainbow Dash giggled as she came to the end of her story. Rarity and Applejack broke out into guffaws of laughter as they rolled about the floor of the library. Twilight Sparkle was rather less amused as she sat in the corner, ears flattened and a look of extreme annoyance etched onto her face. She turned slowly to glare at her friends, before returning to her studies.Twilight's Last Gleaming5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
The glare obviously hadn't done its job, because moments later, the face of Rainbow Dash bobbed over her shoulder. "Ain't that something Twilight? What do you think she'll do THIS year?"
Twilight coughed loudly, made a show of unsubtly shuffling her papers for as long as possible, and turned to face the perky blue Pegasus. "What will who do when?" she hissed back, eyes narrowed to slants in an attempt at intimidation.
This didn't work either; the only reaction from Rainbow Dash was a roll of the eyes. "You weren't listening to my amazing story at ALL, were you? I mean, I know it wasn't
