Prettyflour's Literature ContestHello and welcome to my first literature contest!!!Prettyflour's Literature Contest2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I have hosted contests via some of the groups that I admin, and all of those have focused on photography. Now it's time to let the art of WORDS rule.
I am borrowing the format from :iconaeromodo: (THANK YOU)
The name of the game here is creativity. Note me with 'Literature Contest' as the subject line and I'll give you a three-word, randomly thought-of prompt. I won't play favorites here, and I'll try to keep the prompts on the same level of difficulty. Now for some quick rules (read them please!):
No previous deviations! I want to read something nice and fresh.
Any form of literature will be accepted- poetry, prose, prosetry or fan fiction are accepted. If your work is mature, please tag it as such.
Prose word limit is 2,500.
I'm the Judge, and I'll be a fair one. (Which means

I wanna feature a little bit of everything because that's what I'm feeling today.
My heart goes out to all of the Newtown residents affected by todays horrific event. It's so close to home... As soon as I walked in the door today, I hugged my daughter and have never been more thankful to see her safe.

Fairytale FeatureHi everyone,Fairytale Feature3 years ago in Personal More Like This
so Night Feature week is over and here is new one which you selected in my poll. Hope you like it as much as you like last one. This time there is many types of art, I tried to find fairytale paintings, photos, photomanipulations, sculptures or origami. And when I was browsing through them I fell in love with 3D origami. I've already made swan, penguin and peacock but I don't know if it's good idea to submit them here. (:
However I had same problem as last time - I found too much beautiful works so it was impossible to feature all of them so you can see rest of them in my collection called Fairytale http://larosedepetitprince.deviantart.com/favourites/51019791.
I'm happy for every comment so please let me know what you like or what can I improve. Thank you very much for your feedback. Please don't forget to vote in my new poll and select a theme for next journal!
Have a nice weekend!
SixWordStories Contest ~ Lots of Prizes!Update: 8 more hours to get your entries in! For those that have already submitted, please double check your entry is accepted!SixWordStories Contest ~ Lots of Prizes!2 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
A type of Flash Fiction, six word stories are (very) short stories with an exact word count: six words. SixWordStories is the place where, alongside quality, quantity really does matter. Though these stories are so brief in length, they can be as profound, if not more, than the prose and poetry you see and read every day, partly because six word stories can tell us so much and yet contain so little.
As a Group, we encourage writers to explore their boundaries with prompts, collaborations and more, but we accept anyone and everyone too! Whether you are a digital artist, photographer, or something else entirely, if you can string six words together into a story, this is the place to be!
It has been a long time since we have had a contest, but we have some awesome prizes to be won and enough freedom for you to enjoy yourselves too! Pl

Mention/tag (Whatever term you wanna use. ) people that you love for whatever reason! And if you'd like, add a small (Or large! ) blurb why! Here, I'll start!Show love, everyone! WeirdAndLovely, because she's the most beautiful girl on the planet to me. She's smart, witty, charming, and I'm so glad she's my girlfriend. She's a brilliant artist and I love her so damn much.
SpriteBlayde, because Kelsy is my longest (and best) friend. She's been here for me through thick and thin, when so many people have come, gone, tried to come back and left again, she's been the constant for me for two years. And I couldn't be more grateful for that. She's my sister!
A-Lovely-Anxiety, because she's my favorite 49er. So brilliant, beautiful, intelligent, and a wonderful sister of mine. We'll always be southern 49ers
