A piece I made during my Illustration class last year. We were given a professional artist's sketch (Dhanank Pambayun), a copy of Adobe Illustrator, and a few class periods to make a finished piece.

This is pretty much just play. I saw the agate at a bead show, and I knew right away what I wanted to do around it. Been doing quite a few of these freeform style pendents lately. Hope to get them up now that I have time again.

You can also see how nicely my rhubarb is growing in this photo. :P

Made from a piece of fired agate, non-tarnish silver-plated copper wire, sterling silver beads, and a "upcycled" silver chain.

Like almost all my jewelry, it's for sale.

I found grandpas old calcium crayons(chalk). For you who don't know, my grandpa passed away last summer, this is the first summer without him. It's very hard to deal with this fact because it still seems so unreal. But I keep reminding myself that he has it a lot better now.
Grandpa was a great artist, he was very talented. He used variety of techniques and created diverse pictures and drawings.
This morning I went through his old drawing tools. I didn't went through his stuff to find material to draw by own require I just wanted to see what his last projects' items were since I wasn't there when he passed away. In fact we hadn't even meet each other for an entire year until it was too late. I spotted his calcium crayons which somehow tempted me, something inside me told me to just simply seize them and create something - just for grandpa. So I took them, went out to his old garden and I began drawing this piece on a group of flat stones. There were five colors left, light blue, one darker blue, violet, light purple, beige and white - I used up them all. Half of the box were already empty when I found it but it had to mean that he once drew with them as well, and it felt only good to be the one who continued and ended it - like if his energy was still there.

R.I.P Grandpa. You told me to become an artist, not once but many times. I was only 6 years old when you began convincing me to become one. So I swear I will not disappoint you - you just watch me while I am becoming one. I love you.
