The Warrior and the Mage
“Preys of the thirst of blades and hunger of spells, what are we but witnesses of a war of two? Steel cloaks the hills as mist rises from the seas, and the night grows bright from shining swords and enchanted words. Whose blood will it be on the meadows, whose cry will echo the victory? When the drums are put to sleep, who will rule between the warrior and the mage?”

Rise From the Dead
“Where are tonight the sword and its swinger, the holy spells and their singer? Where is the light to scatter the ghosts, the sight of dawn to shatter the frost? Fears can be hidden, and hearts’ fire kindled, but will shadows be caged and demons faced? The curses of liches linger like winds of winter, and wolves howl a hymn for the undead's hunt… who will be safe from the grim reaper’s swing, and who will fall in its grip?”

Amongst the Elves and Fae
“Where is the breadcrumb trail of fairytales, and breath of mother nature? We have grown blind to ancestors and their lore, surrendered to fantasy what we believed before. Yet still we dream of elves and fae, of fluttering twilight sprites and lords of timeless halls; we long for lands where battles are won with bow and arrow, skies belong to eagles, and fields feel the flow of magic under the grass. How have we come so far, and how to go back?”

From Myth And Legend
“The wind within the trees was a whisper that spoke our tongue, and the stars in the sky shone on the gods of our heavens, alight and alive. What is science against alchemy, we asked them, what is coincidence against prophecy? Kings and beggars stand equal as fates unfold and worlds awake, as heroes rise and deities fall… among nymphs and mermaids, against harpies and sorceries, we must stand as one. Will you brave the lands of myth and legend with us?”

The X-Men made their comic book debut in 1963 as a group of mutants who were born with superhuman powers and were feared and hated by society for being different from humans.
The inspiration for The X-Men came from the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s and was originally titled The Mutants. Marvel asked editor Stan Lee to change the title because they thought no one would know what the wor

Message in a Bottle: The Eternal Act of Faith
Whether it’s the sole survivor of a plane crash, stranded on a fly–speck Pacific island or the forlorn deserted lover standing alone in the early morning fog at mid–span of Waterloo Bridge, there is nothing sadder, and nothing more defining of the human spirit, than the tossing into the sea of the “message in a bottle.” The idea, more than the actual execution, of this desperate measure, has come to symbolize an eternal act of human faith — that somehow Divine Providence will guide this message through the shifting seven seas to be found on a beach by the one who needs

Cinderella and her glass slipper have become a modern day institution since Disney’s classic film debuted 65 years ago.
The tale we’ve come to know today originated in Europe, but its roots can be traced as far back as Ancient Egypt where we find the original “Cinderella,” a Greek slave girl named Rhodopis who goes on to marry the king of Egypt. The Cindere

Of Angels and Demons Vol. 1
“Hush, my friends. Let me tell you of those gods whose lore has left our lands, of the long–dead songs of angels and demons; let your hearts brave the ill–luck of broken vows and breathe the influx of borrowed spells. Walk with me on the winds of a victory of kings, and tell me now: whose flock will be crushed under the blow of defeat? Will you bathe in the white solace of the banners of salvation, or burn in the fiery fire of the warriors of damnation?”

The Heartbeat of Modern Music
From the days of Beethoven and Franz Liszt, to the Vaudeville stages of America in the1880s to the 1930s, to the electronic keyboards anchoring the rhythms of today’s rock groups and pop singers, the piano has been the heart of the music animating our popular entertainments. Not as sexy as the guitar, nor as brash as the drums, the pianos have been the steadying source of rhythm and timing holding together songs and other compositions for the past several centuries. And, oh yes, while not being so overtly sexy, pianos can be very romantic. Enjoy this gallery of the musician’s most basic dream machi

The more oppressive the strictures circumscribing one’s life, the more delirious become that person’s dreams. The more prohibitions and sacrifices one accepts as a life’s duty, the more ingenious must become the approved “escapes.

The concept of Astrology or “study of the stars” has been around since the ancient world and can be traced as far back as the first dynasty of Mesopotamia.
For some, the stars are a portent of the future and help inform one of the best course of action to take based on the stars’ alignment. If born under a specific “star” or month during the year you may have certain characteristics and mannerisms that correspond to a horos

“Backbone” as a metaphor has always evoked determination, strength of character, toughness of spirit.
It is also an indicator of alignment, of being on the right track, of having everything in life in functioning order. “Breaking” one’s back means utter devastation, paralysis, losing everything. Being “spineless” is perhaps the worst insult any man would care to ever hear about himself. And then there’s the
