Jessamine and Miles walked down the beach hand in hand, laughing as they watched the waves crash against the empty beach. They cautiously avoided the ocean's salty waves and sat down to watch as the sun began to set on the horizon, shining the the radiant light that reflected on the crystal-clear water in beautiful rays. They sat for a moment in a peaceful silence, just watching.
"The guard almost caught us this time Miles," Jessamine whispered solemnly. "We can't afford to get caught here."
"I know," Miles responded, "We need to be more careful about how we sneak past The Demarcation. If we get caught they'll send us to The Factory for the rest of our lives."
"I don't understand why they say the beaches are so dangerous. We come out here twice a week to watch the sun set and nothing has happened to us." Jessamine sighed, "What 'horrible' things could be 'lurking' in the water? Hah, I don't believe it for one second."
"Let's not think about that right now," Miles said sincerely,
