Woo! I'm done. Sweet Apple Acres ftw. This was much like my Town square piece in the fact that there wasn't much room for interpretation in the original, so not much has been changed overall. Still, I gotta say this is my best work in terms of realism. Completion time~ 21 hours over 5 days.
Going back to canon background interpretations! I had intentions on drawing cloudsdale as if it were an independent pegasus monarchy. Not sure if this would quite fit the bill, but I'm still ok with how it turned out. Anyways, hope you like it! Completion time of 11 hours over a period of 4 days.
11x14" paper! Professional graphite pencil kit! Next level drawing apparatus is complete! The library in Canterlot we saw in the first episode, where our favorite egghead dwelt all day reading every last book in the library. Can you imagine such a feat? I gave it a more steampunk/victorian feel to it, as if this was how it looked way back when. I'm not gonna lie, I don't really like this one. Didn't turn out right. It's probably my lack of experience with actual art pencils.. I'm not sure if I should keep using them or not. Or maybe it's because this took me what seemed to be forever to finish it and that set my standards ridiculously high. Maybe both? well, whatever. Hope you like it more than I do. Completion time~ 28 hours over a period of 6 days. Oh, and heads up- the download is ridiculously massive. Proceed at your own risk!
My very first submission This is my interpretation of Canterlot, drawn on a sheet of 8x11. If you compare this with the actual castle, you'll see that they are very different. I tried my best to keep the integrity of the original, but I guess I got carried away :/ Any ways, I hope you like it as much as I do! inspired by [link]
Deep in the Everfree Forest, almost forgotten lie the ruins of the old castle, from where the Royal Sisters once ruled the country. Almost taken back by the nature of the forest, these old ruins contain big secrets and mysteries, just waiting to be discovered.
My second drawing of MLP-FiM places. This time the "Castle of the Ancient Royal Pony Sisters" as seen in the pilot episodes of the show.
Again I tried to change the perspective so that it appears more dramatic and menacing. Also it looks a bit more medieval and sturdy than pictured in the series.
I'm not 100% satisfied with the outcome. I had to adjust the contrast a little bit, because I wasn't able to scan the damn thing properly (next time I'll use a sheet of paper, not my sketchbook). Also the pigment ink marker died on the way and I had to change the cartrige, which resulted in much thicker and blacker lines. But, oh well. I guess it turned out pretty good nonetheless.
The next thing on the list will be either the interior of this castle or the hospital, as seen in the Daring-Do episode. Or some other place, dunno.
Here is the castle of the royal pony sisters: 20% less crumbly edition, because the original was too crumbled. I swear, they made castles out of nature valley granola bars back then. Anyways, the original was also very ambiguous so it left alot of room for interpretations, but I also used some ideas from [link] . Completion time of 14 hours over a period of 3 days.
The season finale was /)^3^(\ that I was obligated to make something from it. Keep in mind I drew some of this while I had zero hours sleep the previous night, so some parts are a bit sloppier than usual. Completion time: 16 hours over 3 days. Oh, and it turned out my audition was actually on the 21st, which was kind of a good thing.. Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure I made the cut after all! Anyways, It feels good to be back
