One could be forgiven for coming to the conclusion the Internet is something of a hotbed of negativity.
Nerds, geeks and fanboys (or fangirls, let's not discriminate) of disdainful predisposition - revelling in the lack of self-restraint provided by the safety of anonymity - have moulded forum threads and message boards, or even the comments section of any given review or critique into hostile landscapes where reason, respect and basic human decency suffocate under the thick smog of vitriol. This then spills over into damn near everything else, where the surly and miserable take out their cynicism and bitterness on the simplest and inoffensive of opinions (i.e. "This movie/game/anime/book I just saw/played/read was a lot of fun!")
To put it simply, you can't just like anything on the Internet, not unless - and isn't this wonderful logic - you're willing to endure a Sisyphean level of harassment, abuse and bullying. It's absurd. They have no right to attack you as a person if you

A muscular lobster was flung to the ground as the crowd erupted in cheers and applause for the man standing over this lobster.
"AQUAMAN! AQUAMAN! AQUAMAN! AQUAMAN!" The crowd cheered as the King of Atlantis waved to his subjects in the stands before offering his hand to the lobster and helping him back on his feet.
"You are a fine fighter, Larry. Consider this loss a victory for yourself." Aquaman said assuringly to the defeated lobster.

Logic's Insight: Twilight Part 4Reason #4 for hating Twilight: Everything else!Logic's Insight: Twilight Part 42 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
So if you've been paying attention up to this point, then you'll see that Twilight lacks everything that a love story needs to work. It doesn't have characters that we care about, it doesn't have a relationship dynamic that fits with the story or the choices of the characters, and it's story is dull and stretched out longer than it needs to without anything ever affecting the characters or testing their bonds. The lore of the saga can't even stay consistent with itself and doesn't leave any room for real dramatic tension.
Despite this, the saga is selling extremely well. The saga is a gold mine! The books sell extremely well since the first book's debut and have garnered a moderate amount of critical praise because of it's influence; the movies have grossed a grand total of two and a half billion dollars on a total budget of two hundred and fifty million dollars; and it has a large and powerfull

Top 10 Worst Captain Planet EpisodesTop 10 Worst Captain Planet Episodes2 months ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
During the few weeks I was without a computer, Death Battle writer Terraraptor asked me to write a bio for one of his upcoming Death Battle fights (check out his Battles with this link here: http://terraraptor.deviantart.com/gallery/48820192/Death-Battle ) of Captain Planet and The Magic School Bus.
Never one to disappoint (not intentionally at least), I watched numerous episodes of Captain Planet on my cell phone and wrote down his note-worthy powers, weaknesses and had my Death Battle Hosts riff on the show itself.
But I was having them keep in character for that, I'm going to say this as myself without having to re-word it to fit a certain character:
CAPTAIN PLANET SUCKS.
Honestly, this show has not aged very well.
Even for the time, it was a show whose issues were more suited to the 1980's, a time period when a lot of what the show preaches against were issues that were making the news during that time period. The 90's made an effort to try and cut back, but if you look at

A Tribute to Al Bundy
There once was a man
Who sold only shoes
But his life would be filled
With a permanent case of the blues
His name was Al Bundy
A great athlete in high school
Not the smartest guy around
But certainly no fool
He had many achievements
4 touchdowns in 1 game
He had it all coming towards him
Women, fortune and fame
But little did he know
He only had so much luck
Something would come around the corner
Then Al would be fuc-
Peg Wanker was her name
A fruit from the south
Gigantic red hair
And a rather noisy mouth
Regardless of all that
She caught Als eye
And soon Als good life
Was just about to die
The high school sweethearts
Decided to get married
And it was then decided
Als life had been buried
Suddenly it all happened
Against Als will
But Pegs father was there
Hammered and ready to kill
Bad things would happen
If Al didnt marry the daughter
Among those terrible things
They all involved slaughter
And so it was finished

If 12 Angry Men hadn't already illustrated this, let me make it clear:
For most of his acting career, Henry Fonda had a penchant for playing impossibly noble men; men so heroic, selfless and honourable of heart, soul and temperament they make Ned Stark look like a damn scoundrel.
Whether of his own volition, studio mandate or public demand (well, alright, it was more of a combination of all three), Fonda was always typecast as a rational, collected, logical yet passionate and moralistic soul on an endless crusade against injustice. Frankly, how could he not have been typecast into that sort of role? Look at the man in his prime: square jaw, nice hair, handsome mug and startlingly bright blue eyes? By God, this would be the sort of face you would want on politicians, officers, lawyers, or even your next door neighbour, so whenever you were in trouble you'd only have to turn to Saint Fonda for help. This is the man who set the bar for the archetypal Hollywood

The next day, the whole class was surprised to see me unharmed and not scared at all. I told them about my new friend and everything he said to me. What I didn't expect is a big laughter from them. It seemed that they don't believe me and lost my mind in the woods. After that, they began to tease me more so I decided to keep this to myself and never speak of this again. But I would still go to the woods during lunch not just to escape from those bullies, but also to meet up with Mr. Slenderman. I told him what happened earlier and he said that let them be. Do what makes them what they think they are happy with and leave them alone for a while.
So every day, I went into the woods during lunch and after school to meet up with him. Every day, we ate lunch and

Released in 2013 under the direction of Zach Snyder ("300," "Watchmen," "Sucker Punch") on a budget of $225 million with distribution through Warner Bros.; "Man of Steel" is the 6th theatrical film adaptation (I'm not counting "Supergirl") based off of the 1938 release of Action Comics #1, Superman has since his first publication become a cultural American icon for his tagline of "fighting for truth, justice and the American Way." The first feature film to star this comic book hero was the 1978 Richard Donner film, "Superman: The Movie." By today, it's considerably dated, but it still remains a ground-breaking spark in cinema for these of special effects to create the illusion of Superman flying and grabbing things with his strength as well as kick-starting interest of the Superhero film genre. But the 80's wasn't very kind to Superman, giving forth to some rather lousy movies and only continuing on from then, giving some embarrassingly bad Superman video ga

Top Ten Myths About The AmazonsTop ten myths about the Amazons.Top Ten Myths About The Amazons1 year ago in Profiles More Like This
1) Amazons are purely a myth.
This is purely a false statement. Evidence from the ancient world provides documents of a matriarchal society in Asia Minor run by a queen. This society was the location of Amazonia, the ancient kingdom of the Amazons. There are records suggesting that this civilization run by women was a powerful force in the ancient world. Babylonian, Greek, Roman, and even Egyptian texts suggest that many countries including Troy were allies and enemies with Amazonia. There is also historical evidence that these women came from the north from the land that is now Russia. Even Alexander the Great is recorded meeting with an Amazon Queen during his trips through Asia Minor.
2) The Amazons hated men.
This statement is also a false myth stated in Greek culture more than Greek text. In the ancient world, women in power were viewed as evil or dangerous. Greece was a society ruled by males. A culture with a woman in power wou

Ever since I got into DC Comics as much as I am now, I've been thinking to myself: Man... what if they made a fighting game with nothing but established DC Comics characters in it fighting each other, and if the game worked and was fantastic? What if the levels where interactive and made you feel like you took a part in events right out from the comics in a cinematic way? What if all the characters where free to work the way they are supposed to, without any limits or worry about balancing it out and just make sure it still does work and somehow is balanced? I know it will never happen, but... I can dream. I mean, man... what if the game even had Doomsday and Deathstroke in it?
Kept on and on and on thinking about this to myself. Because that's what I do - I envision perfect things to arrive and exist. People tell me those thing will never happen, but it actually is one of the few things I always keep myself optimistic about. And unlike most people, I do not take it fo
Ianthony- Marriage It was a special day for Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla. They were getting married. Months earlier, Anthony proposed to Ian at a party on top of a roof. They were kissing and Anthony slipped the ring on Ian's left hand. Ian saw it, said yes and kissed Anthony. Now those months went by quickly and now, they were to marry today. Ian couldn't wait until he saw Anthony and said "I do" to him. Anthony was the same way, wanting Ian but he was a little nervous. The boys agreed earlier in the week to do a Lunchtime With Smosh at the reception but Anthony wanted their fans to see them wed so they decided to film the ceremony.Ianthony- Marriage2 years ago in General Fiction More Like This

"It doesn't suck, you just don't get it."
How often have you heard or read this sentence?
Typically, this is the type of response that you'll get from a fan/supporter of a film that you didn't like because it didn't make sense to you. These defenders will argue that the movie was going against the norm of the typical story structure, that there was a deeper meaning underneath the visuals presented and if you don't see this, then there's something wrong with you.
Case in point: Rebuild of Evangelion 3.33.
If you haven't read my three part review, then I'll summarize my feelings with one picture.
However, when looking at some comments, threads and positive reviews from people who liked the movie, I saw a common theme. This theme is that Hideaki Anno purposefully made the movie the way that he did because he had a message that he wanted to convey to his audience. He felt like another anvil had to be dropped on the anime fan/otaku culture who he felt had become to complacent and he used th

A gentle smile graced her face.
"I have something for you love." She whispered.
She cupped her hands beneath her breast and stared down at them peacefully.
Before he could grow curious, a brilliant scarlet rose appeared and began to slowly bloom beneath her fingers, it's silky petals a perfect contrast to the thorns that pricked her delicate and scarred fingertips.
A small drop of blood flowed from the tip of her finger to gently land on one of the flower petals, the color of her blood meeting the rose and blending instantly.
She lifted it to her nose to inhale the exquisite aroma.
She smiled before presenting it to her lover standing wide-eyed before her.
He slowly brought his shaky hands to reach hers, affraid that if he touched her or the rose, they would shatter or dissapear.
"Don't be afraid." She tenderly assured. He nodded and took the small rose in his hands.
"Thank you..." He replied.
She stretched her hand to gently caress his cheek.

Wavianne woke up. She was in her house she must've fell asleep last night while keeping watch. How tragic was this? She gazed at herself in a mirror. She looked at her four long, black wings. A gold halo hung above her head. Wavianne sighed. She was unwanted all because she was a different color.
This was not new. It was going on for centuries now. The white angels in Divinity felt that they had a superiority over the black angels. Why? Because they were white, and white was a symbol of purity, apparently. Black was a symbol of darkness and sin. Wavianne felt this was untrue and unfair. There was nothing dark or sinister about her. She was smart, kind, pretty; all the qualities of a white angel. Their differences were only a shade
Wavianne got out of bed and went downstairs to her kitchen. It was a standard-sized kitchen, with a table in the center. She gathered her mail.

Hiya guys! This time, I decided to write a kind of DxC fanfiction. It is Courtney singing about her 'relationship' with Duncan, after he cheated on her.
Normal: Courtney's thoughts, and descriptions
Italics: Lyrics of the song
It was year after TDWT ended. A year after Duncan broke my heart, and cheated on me with Gwen. I matured ever since I wasn't so whiny as I was before. I even made a band with Trent, who quit the Drama Brothers. Tonight, we have a concert in Canada, and I'll sing the song which I wrote about Duncan.
I looked at the stage nervously. There were so many people on the stage. Only to see me, as I sing a song to Duncan. The guy who I hate and love at the same time. I wish he would disappear out of my life, but he wont. I sighed, and took a deep breath.
"You'll do it Courtney. It's not like he will be there anyway." I told myself, before hearing the crowd shout my name. With a small smile, I went on the stage, and the crowd started to scream my name.
