Flower poweeeer! :dummy:
I managed to crawl out of my batcave with a few minutes of daylight left today. I have apparently gotten very rusty on bug photography, and need some time to get back in the groove so here is a flower. :meow:

Swirly green thing. Don't have anything else so I'm going to post some old shots that I overlooked.

Rain always happens at inconvenient times, and as a result I very rarely get the chance to shoot after a rain shower, which is a bummer because that is by far my favorite time for photography. This was taken several hours after the rain had stopped, but luckily I was able to find some areas that still had perty drops. :meow:

I didn't really like this at first but it has kind of been growing on me... wish I could've used a narrower aperture but I didn't have a lot of light to work with. :noes:

Urf. I know it ain't great, but it's all I've got right now. I had a very small window of time to work with before I ran out of daylight today, and this was one of a few shots I took. Didn't get anything I was super happy with, but it still felt good to get out and do some photography.

Alright, I know this isn't very good. But it is my very first step into the world of fisheye, so I just had to share it! :la:

I just bought a supposedly awesome book on understanding how to use natural light, so hopefully it will improve my landscapes in the future! :eager:

So I got a lot of feedback on my last drop photo saying it was way too soft. Hope this one is better!

Another photo taken during a brief quiet period inbetween storms.

An orange sulfur butterfly, doing his proboscis thang.

I discovered today that my zoom lens has awesome focusing capabilities and is perfect for bug photography. So as long as I keep managing to get myself out of the house, expect butterflies in the future! :la:

I have absolutely no idea how I feel about this. I wanted to keep it simple, but now I'm not sure if it's too bland and could use some secondary focal points... I also wanted it to have a dark lighting kind of feel, but I'm not sure if I'm happy with how that turned out either. :noes:

Anywho, all constructive criticism is greatly appreciated! :dummy:

Argh. Sorry for another ladybug picture. I am trying to come up with something new, but just..so..busy!

So I know this isn't fantastic...very harsh highlight on the shell, and perhaps the composition could be better. But it's hard for me to use brain at 6am.
and I think I need to read a book on understanding color theory or something, because I've been very indecisive about my color choices lately...

Anywho, all constructive criticism is greatly appreciated! :dummy:
