Once upon a time, a lazy joke used over and over in American movies and TV shows was Japanese tourists taking pictures of everything with their instamatic cameras. Today we are taking pictures of everything using our (usually Japanese) cellphones. When we were laughing at Japanese “quirks” we didn’t realize we were making fun of the cultural architects of our own future. The most amazing thing about our

About Project Porkchop
The DeviantArt Experience can sometimes quickly become the quintessential example of that most frustrating problem: too much of a good thing. There just aren’t enough hours in the day to peruse the thousands of submissions and postings of artistic innovation, creativity and sheer beauty that are generated everyday.
So thank you for ProjectPorkchop!
Astralseed, an Icelandic deviant artist with a penchant for equines, including Quirlicorns (a breed of unicorns), has made our busy lives so much easier with ProjectPorkchop, a feature she started on her DeviantArt page. Project Porkchop’s fine eye for the best of the newly submitted artworks of virtually unknown artists, the incredible art tha

Hi - so I'm starting new series of journals with useful resources - mainly because I'm running out of topics to write about and I just like some diversity. (I'll continue to post general art/motivational journals too every now and then)
Here are some of my favorite youtube artists, that inspire me and I hope that these resources might be helpful for you too.
'Level up!' is an idea of two Polish artists - Wojtek Fus ( WojciechFus ) and Darek Zabrocki ( daRoz ), who want to teach and learn from each other. It's so wonderful to watch them paint and talks about important tips on art and life as an artists. Also check out their

Poet of Lovers & Rebels, Poet of Dreamersby MARX77
As is the case with all artists, poets too are greatly influenced by the world around them and how they perceive it.
