Falling for no purpose
Death has fallen upon me
I long for life as it slips beneath my heart
Why has this happened?
I'm overwhelmed with sweet emotion
As I keep falling
You've left me
With nothing left to show
BurnMy parents came home one evening with a Gamecube disc that had "Luigi's Mansion Test 1" in plasma green Sharpie on it. The color seemed fitting for a ghost hunting game. "Don't burn." My mother said. I could tell the game was a prototype; my parents always brought them home for their work. This one was different. I noticed a small sticker that had one word on it "Burn". It was ancient too. I decided to pop it in my Gamecube and play it. I pressed the power button to see nothing out of the usual, just the cube rolling around to make the signature "G". The title screen seemed normal from my copy of Luigi's mansion.Burn4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
I decided to go ahead with the game. As Luigi sticks his fat nose into the doorway, I saw that Toad wasn't there which was odd because he was always there until the blackout. I went to the spot where he usually was. I saw a shimmer. "Well this is Luigi's Mansion." I mumbled to myself. I figured worse comes to worse that I would just get a game over. I firmly pressed
Aku's RevengeSo it had been a few days ever since I had that horrible living nightmare. My DS was still in the trash bin, tomorrow was the day when the trash trucks came. My mom wanted me to go ahead and take out the garbage so we don't have to wake up early in the morning, but nighttime had already settled in. I knew that in that DS, a demonic creature was still awaiting to kill me.Aku's Revenge4 years ago in Horror More Like This
"I'm coming for you Kasuki "
His last few words leaked into my mind like a venomous fluid. I shuddered, confused if I should take out the trash or wait until the morning. But to be safe, I decided to ignore it this one night and tuck myself into bed. As I turned the bedroom's lamplight off, a void of darkness settled in. I closed my eyes, thinking about tomorrow

A sudden noise brought me to my senses. It was rather loud, so I sat upright at an instant. My chest raised and lowered, my panic-mode kicking in. I looked around my room, seeing

It was winter when I decied to go to our local pokeadopt centre and get a pokemon to care for.
Pokeadopt centres were full this time of year, and so I went inside- immediately I was drawn to a tiny eevee sitting almost mournfully in the back of a shadowed cage as though all hope was lost.
I peered through the bars of the cage at the eevee, the ones who ran the pokeshelter were a bit hesitant to give him to me.
I had finally convinced them, only because I was adopting the eevee's sister, and they thought it best not to separate them.
I opened the cage a bit nervously and stuck my hand inside. The tiny pokemon shivered as my hand got close, and I stopped.
He looked almost interested, and peered at me cautiously before sniffing my outreached hand cautiously.
The other eevee sat on my shoulder, and squeaked a happy greeting to her brother.
With that he jumped onto my other shoulder. I smiled at the two eevees, and thanked the pokeadopt centre for allowing me to have them.

Biting and shredding
Some cry while others don't
He sat in the corner crying
With blood on his hands and craving human flesh
"I don't want it to be like this" he shrieks
"But it must" his mother answers
He felt more alone than ever before
No one cared to give him the love he so desperately needed
"But moth-" he was cut off
"Shut up and eat." she rudely yelled
His own mother didn't even love him
He refused to eat the dead corpse of a human that was bestowed upon him
He was greeted by a shoe and slowly beaten to death
He looked at her with his eyes
He lost consciousness
His mother kept on whacking
He looked at her with grateful eyes
His pain would be over soon
He would never have to be forced to eat another "meal" again
He closed his eyes one last time never to open them again

Dropped and gone
Taws fixed, but now is broken
People try to fix it
But it can't be patched
It will stay like that forever
I lost myself as it broke
But didn't shed one tear
I've decided to give up
You've kicked me while I'm down
I'm staying there
My laziness has won
Here I'll stay on the frozen floor
With no one to comfort me
I've decided to stay
Frozen in time

Momma always said I was born for a reason, but I never felt like that. I'm 15, working in a bar at the inner town behind Hyrule Palace's gates. Momma was still going on about how I had the eyes of the hero. At times, I actually thought I was The Hero. My blonde hair always grew short, not long like other girls' hair. I wore hats to cover it up. My eyes were the most pure blue just like The Hero. I even had the pointy elf ears with earrings that matched my eyes like the hero. I've always heard of The Hero, just never seen him. Momma says I'm not allowed to or the past will haunt him until the day he dies. I had no idea what she meant by that particular saying. A large group of people bust down the door carrying a person.
"We're going to lose him!" I heard one voice say.
"Someone go get a needle and some thread!" another shouted. I quickly obeyed. I went to the back of a creaky wet room I was proud to call my own to go fetch my small wooden box which contained thread, some clot
ShinyI've always had this obsession over shiny pokémon. I always liked the alternate colors and the way they shimmered when they came out of their pokéball. The only thing I disliked was the sucky IVs that came with it. I could never get over how angry that made me. At the time I was breeding Pichu for a timid with Hidden Power Ice. I got a new foreign Smeargle the same day. I put him in the Day Care with my Pikachu and rode around on my bike.Shiny4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
I went through the same cycle, get egg, hatch it, check nature and Hidden Power, and release into the wild. I was about to release a Pichu into the wild when I saw a red star next to it. My love for shiny pokémon grew from there. She was of a quiet nature with a poisonous Hidden Power. She wasn't useful in competitive battling, but I still loved her. I took her to the nickname rater and named her "Sun Kiss". She seemed to like that name. It made her smile whenever I said it.
It broke my heart, but I had to put her in my PC and continue

You might not know it
But you are the one for me
I can tell by the way you look at me
Your eyes look lost
Mine do too
I don't know anything about you
Not even your name
Yet I love everything about you
I'm the one for you
You're the one for I
We were made for each other
That gaze in your eyes
I always hesitate to ask
But you leave before I have the Chance
I can't wait until the next time
When you make my heart swell and burst
I will not hold my breath next time
I promise to speak next time
Even if my voice will quiver
We'll have the time of our lives
AkuThis game changed my life... Oh why did I ever find this monster? Why did it have to be me? Who had done this to this poor creature? Aku... Even the name sent shivers down my spine. I hope no one makes the same mistake that I made, I hope this game will be lost forever in total darkness! I wish this game, and Aku, who still haunts my dreams, would just disappear from this world and be gone, forever.Aku4 years ago in Drama More Like This
I sighed. There was nothing to do, again. I lay on my bed, looking up at the empty ceiling. What was there to do? I thought for a moment then a thought drifted into my head. Go for a walk, but why? I shrugged; something was telling me that it would be fun, but how? I sat up and got off my bed. I quickly put my shoes on and sneaked out the house. Why did I sneak out the house? No idea. I began to simply walk down the street, and then turned my gaze to the field. I went there to walk my dog almost everyday but I had never explored it before. Adventurous thoughts flooded into my mind and I pic
Writing is DeadIn stories the winners win and the losers lose. The lovers love and the haters hate. Everyone is painted in vivid black and white paints and, as a result, depth is dead. Meaning grows on stunted trees of morals, in orchards of clichés and half-ideas. I just want to write something beautiful, but I can't. The world clings onto my feet and refuses to release me. My imagination is weighed down by heavy reality. I want to run and sing and jump and cry and laugh and cheer, but only with words and paper. And I want my words to make other people feel like that too. I want my words to fold like wonderful origami and create a world in which to escape to.
Only now I am stuck. Trapped in the orchard of clichés with
To Cling onto The Light The sun was setting outside, he could see it as its last dying streaks of light fell over the grimy street. Emrys sighed and turned away from the window. It was human nature, he supposed, to want to cling onto the light. The rest of the corridor was so dark. But still, strangely peaceful. Serene and nice, very nearly comforting. It wasn't often that those words could be applied to this place. To Cling onto The Light4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Yes, he decided, it was human nature. We just can't bear to let go of anything good. Whether it was the light of the sun or life. We just can't let things die.
At last he reached the right door, the corridors were all so long here, and every door identical. To get to the right one was a matter of counting. Before he'd used to find the counting difficult but now he was so used to it that counting and walking and not losing count were like a second nature.

It was night time again, and all of the good sleeping places had been taken. I peered about the small room, there must be many eevee, maybe even a hundred...
I looked at my sister, asleep on the arm of the couch I was sitting near, I was stuck with the window sill again, having been too slow.
I curled up, in an attempt to warm myself, but the chill from the frosted window was ruthless and found it's way to chill me all the same. I observed the other eevees, in sleep we all looked the same, we would seem the same, but during the day was a different story.
I was more of a nighttime eevee myself, seeing as it was my one safehaven. All of the pokemon who bothered me daily were asleep. My ears limped to the sides, and I held back tears, remembering again our mother, who had died when the terrible woman who owned this house had taken us away from her.
Yoi was lucky. She didn't remember our mother, she had
