Art theft alert! So it looks like this guy is taking my art and selling it as decals on ebay.Art theft alert!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Original art here. I've already reported the item and I'll be submitting a formal IP complaint with ebay, but by the looks of the rest of their items, I'm not the only one they've stolen art from. Check it out here and if any of it's yours and is being used without your consent,

The concept of this piece came to me after messing around with gold-colored aluminum foil worn over my teeth while dressed up in costume, giving the camera a growling look. Looking at the photo taken, I felt as if I had just become one of the many wacky characters I draw so often. The overall feeling was worth exploring in a drawing. Showing your teeth is a powerful and primal reaction, but rather than pimping out my grill, I thought it would be interesting to wear that look on a shirt or hoodie.
I have a healthy fear of creatures in nature that could eat me live, so this idea of giant teeth worn across the chest seemed empowering. Grizzlies, wolves, wild dogs, zombies
My dresses made in realHi friends. My dresses made in real1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Some days ago some of you found out two girls that made the Facebook dress http://neko-vi.deviantart.com/gallery/36793491#/d4o1dxe and Twitter dress http://neko-vi.deviantart.com/gallery/36793491#/d4s56w3 in real. Here is the link to their page: http://animexx-en.onlinewelten.com/cosplay/mitglied/340228/order_1_0/364175/
On my deviantART profile, under my deviantID, there is a caption: probably just 5% of my visitors have read it, but you can see some rules, and one of these rules says:
"«Can I sew your dresses in real?»
I'm sorry, but I can't let anyone make my dresses. I want to make them one day, so because of creative and security reasons I can't let you do this."
My works have been posted around the web, so these girls probably didn't even know about me, probably they saw two cute dresses and decided to make a cosplay, in real.
It turned out very well! Yeah, they're beautiful. But they broke the rules, the LAW. I have never gave the permission t

hard cold advice from a fandom artistJust wanna share this awesome list that had been written by Euclase (http://euclase.tumblr.com, but the actual post already deleted) These are trully wonderful list of the truth^^, i kuddos u Euclase bb for your analysis n opinion coz some of them are ironically true:hard cold advice from a fandom artist2 years ago in Personal More Like This
So I love fanart. I think it's fun. I think it's a great way for someone to learn skills and build confidence in a relatively safe, amateur setting, but sometimes it's not sunshine and butterflies. Fanartists, because of the very visible yet niche nature of their work, are destined to encounter shitbags on the internet.
Since I've been sharing fan art online since 2002, I thought I'd type up some notes. This is just my experience/angle on things, so ymmv.
1. People will steal your art.
The difference between fanart and regular art is that it's recognizable by subject, and since you don't own the subject, everyone will assume they have the right to it. They'll put i

Inspiration Station: *fractekThe dividing line between fractal art and abstract art is itself a fractal, and may appropriately be visualised in Kirsty's brilliant painterly Landscape. Indeed, it's in this area that I find my particular favourites: geometrics such as movave wave and Feeling the Groove; primitive forms, sometimes with a hint of the calligraphic like primative and Script; and, of course, more of those fizzing horizontal divisions at different levels of 'zoom' - Mediterranean dreams, Frac stract andInspiration Station: *fractek2 years ago in Personal More Like This

Lumberjack FlannelghanI am working on my brother-in-law's afghan. The pattern is called the Lumberjack Flannelghan. It's a fairly easy pattern, but I recommend being very familiar with double crochet before you try it. I don't know that it was written with novices in mind, even though it's a really good First Afghan project. :lLumberjack Flannelghan1 year ago in Personal More Like This
He bought the yarn for it (6 One Pound skeins of Caron at $8.99 each) a little over a year ago, and I have been working on it off and on since. At first I was like this is a kind of boring pattern, so I worked on it only once in a while. Now I am ashamed to say that it's been over a year since I started this and I'm still not done with it. :iconimsorryplz:
Although I have made some serious progress on it in the last week. His birthday is February 11th, so I am hoping against hope to have it ready by then.
It is made in 5 strips, each strip is 7 blocks measuring 10"x10". I have made 3 full strips and am on the second

If anyone submitted works that expired, please resubmit.
With no mods, I'm afraid that there's no backup for when something happens to me.
If anyone feels they can check in on a regular basis, feel free to apply.
I'm going through the folders to get it all cleaned up now, and hopefully we can get back on track!
Don't forget.. to validate your novel!Don't forget1 year ago in Personal More Like This
That's right, Validation is now live! To get to the validation page, you can hover over the 'My NaNoWriMo link across the top of the page and select Validate, or you can go to your novel editing page and you should see the validation link in big blue letters!
In order to win, you MUST run your novel through the validator. Otherwise your bar will remain blue and you wont count as an official winner.
I would advise everyone to try and validate early for two reasons:
1) There are ALWAYS discrepancies between Writing programs and the Validatos, so if Word thinks you have reached 50k, the validator may not agree.
2) Lots of people will be validating and sometimes this can lead to the website crashing. Do it early to make sure you can access the website!
