I don't even have that for wasps, and they're real bastards.
I think it's because spiders actively try to invade your personal space.
At least, that's what I always assumed they were doing.
After seeing this, it's hard for me to maintain my view that they're 8-legged masterminds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLw-9dpHtcU
Art Process / Tutorial Videos available now!Alright guys, I have something new for you which you have been asking for years.Art Process / Tutorial Videos available now!5 months ago in Personal More Like This
The amount of time it takes to do a tutorial, the bandwidth it takes to upload it (some files well over 550MB), the sapce to host some of the files, and many other considerations usually hindered me from making them.
I have changed my Patreon over to a tutorial / process video site!
Now for a pledge of only 1USD per post, you will get not a youtube link, but an actual downloadable video for you to keep along with the full size PSD file with layers! The videos will range between 30 - 90 minutes and are 720pi. The PSD file is well over 2500pi tall/wide.
There is a video I have just posted right now! When you guys become patrons, you can suggest things you want to see and I will try to make as many videos as I can, but I need your support otherwise I will stop since I have to work.
I wasn considering making assignments, doing marker stuff, backgrounds, and just whatever

Getting into comics is something a lot of people want to know how to do, but there's a lot of questions you want to ask yourself first. There is such a vast array of genre and sub-genre, technique, approach, and so on, that it's important to be clear where you want to go with your work at the outset – and you have to be REALLY honest and tough on yourself.
Do you want to draw:
If you're into the capes and tights and you want to go mainstream you're going to have to want it incredibly badly, as the competition is the most extreme I've ever known it right now. There seems to be more titles than ever - and with the digital revolution more people are capable of producing sleek, mainstream quality art - but right across the
Write 50 Reasons Why You Love Yourself ChallengeHello everyone! I have a challenge for all of youWrite 50 Reasons Why You Love Yourself Challenge3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I challenge you to write 50 reasons why you love yourself. Number the entries and start them all with, "I love myself because..." The reasons can be about anything, but you should think about 50 reasons you love yourself after being bullied. Sometimes after such experiences, it's hard to think of why you love yourself, and that's why this challenge was created. It'll boost your self-esteem and make you realize what a beautiful person you really are
If you think this challenge is easy....I challenge you to go out there and do it
Minor Edit - I created a Folder '50 Reason's Why I Love Myself' in case you want to post it in the group,

Tracing gets you nowhere.I remember when I was a kid, I'd record Saturday morning cartoons, play them back, pause the image, put a piece of paper over the screen and trace my favourite characters.Tracing gets you nowhere.6 months ago in Personal More Like This
Now this was really hard in the VHS era, because a paused image on a VHS is usually either broken up or shakes so much that you’ll have some kind of fit if you look at it too long, it depended on how cheap and sh*tty your machine was.
But I worked really hard at it, man. I spent ages getting the linework just right, I was so careful, and when I peeled the page from the static cling of the bulbous, cathode ray tube screen, the character looked exactly right on the page. And you wanna know what I took away from that endeavour? What all that effort taught me?
Jack f**king sh*t.
You don’t pick up or develop any skills by tracing. You don’t devise and perfect your own methods by tracing. You do not progress as an artist by tracing. All you get is a loss of credibility, especially in this day and age, bec

"You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes." Doesn't this sound oddly familiar?
By picking the blue or green options in Mass Effect 3, you basically agreed to give up, stop fighting and just die. Picking the red beam means your still fighting, struggling against the Reapers, not going to just lay there and die like they want you to. Live to fight another day..
Featured Movie - Fan Favorite - The Lion KingThanks for voting in all those polls I put up!Featured Movie - Fan Favorite - The Lion King3 years ago in Personal More Like This
The winner is...
The Lion King!
To see other movie features, go here: http://disney-club.deviantart.com/journal/Featured-Movies-and-Shorts-225465518
"The Lion King was considered a little movie because we were going to take some risks. The pitch for the story was a lion cub gets framed for murder by his uncle set to the music of Elton John. People said, 'What? Good luck with that.' But for some reason, the people who ended up on the movie were highly passionate about it and motivated."
The movie came out in 1994 and became the little movie that could! It was the highest grossing film of that year.
Since then there's been many re-releases of the movie, sequels, and even a Broadway musical based on it.
What's the movie about? Well, you're a Disney fan! Shouldn't you have seen it by now?

MyPaint vs SAIWe were recently asked whether MyPaint works better than SAI or Corel. A million-dollar question!MyPaint vs SAI4 years ago in Personal More Like This
:iconsoli-deo-gloria: soli-deo-gloria writes:
I can't speak for Corel as I haven't used it, but SAI (Paint Tool SAI) was my primary painting tool before I discovered MyPaint. Here's a quick, by no means complete, comparison of my experience of the two.
Here are the official sites of the two programs:SAIMyPaintOn the face of it, both SAI and MyPaint are not too different. They are both lightweight painting-specific programs that do not require the memory of full graphic editing programs like GIMP or Photoshop. MyPaint is more focused on emulating brushstrokes in a traditional canvas situation, while SAI incorporates a number of digital effects such as basic layer modes and vectors, and seems to focus on providing an easy ready-to-use painting interface, particularly for anime-style art.
Devious Journal EntryHey everyone, I've had a lot of people asking me about FZD and whether I recommend it. There isn't a short answer. And I don't have THE answer for you. It's a personal decision and every person will have a different set of factors to take into account before making a decision one way or another.Devious Journal Entry1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I'll do my best to be as straight forward about this as I can. Before I went to FZD, I was doing corporate transaction tax consulting, and I could hardly draw anything. I did a few pieces of abstract art when I was in high school. When looking at schools, I was looking at what would help me gain the skillset I needed to get my foot into the industry. I was NOT interested in schools that you could cruise through working only 8 hours a day. I didn't care about if the teachers actually cared about me or not, as long as they taught me how to do concept art. I didn't care if the teachers were compassionate and nice, in fact I preferred they were pretty brutal and honest. But however they were, I did

Wow, can you believe it's 2015 already? My mind is still having trouble processing the fact that it isn't 2013 anymore. Yes. And unfortunately, school starts next Monday, again.
2014, however, was a pretty darned good year. I got my Bachelor's Degree with honours with high distinction and started law school. I still cannot believe, to this day, that I am in law school. Of course, it remains to be seen if I will be able to graduate with a good GPA, but hey, at least I got in...which was surprising! Just a year ago, I had thought I would be rejected from all of my post-undergraduate applications and have no job for the next few years like many people who just graduated from undergrad studies.
About my art:
Well, art-wise, 2014 was...again, surprising! As I've mentioned quite a number of times (mostly

I'm sure many of you don't know the story of what I've been up to, so I'm going to summarize a very long story for you.
Back in April 2012, I posted an image of me holding my original HTTYD movie ticket, and had a long story of how the movie changed me. A friend by the name of Jeffrettalyn suggested I send the letter to Dreamworks, to hear what they have to say.
I was in my last semester of school at the time, and around the same time, a friend of mine suggested I make a plush and send it to Dreamworks. After spending some time thinking and questioning others about it, I decided to go forward with it when I could, and send both together.
I believe it was September 18th when I finally started working on it, and I didn't finish it until late February! After pouring in more time into this Toothless plush than any other before, I hesitated to send it away, for I had grown quite attached to it. I talked with many people, and tried to get as much support as possible. 5 Weeks

Voila. You'll see all images under CC in DA.

It doesn't compares with an in-site feature, but at least it is a workaround...

EDIT: I'm getting through these prayer requests one by one... I'm going to respond to all of them, so don't worry. I just really want to pay a lot of attention to each of these. So I'm really sorry if this is taking a long time!!
I saw a couple journals [Blairaptor and lupisvulpes] and what other great way to spread the Word than to take prayer requests? ^.^ There is so much more I could be doing to show God's love over the internet... this is just a really great start, and I really felt I needed to do this too.
So if you need me to pray for you, or your family, or anyone you know or anyone you DON'T know for that matter I will pray for it.
You don't even have to believe in God for me to pray for you, because what's the point of only praying for the people that do? That isn't spreadi

When we started this movie five years ago, I thought it would be a blast, because everything was wide open. In a world without cars, jobs, secret formulas, villains, etc. we would be able to do anything we wanted. It didn't take long for reality to sink in - this was going to be a lot tougher than we thought. Staring into this limitless world that we would build according to our rules, we were suddenly coming to grip with just how wide open this world really was. Like when you've finished all your chores and you finally find time to do a drawing - you run to your table, open your drawing pad (or your computer, if you're more modern than me) and stare into a blank page. And if you're like me, it's not very long before you are wishing you had just a few bounda
