DW: Five Things Time Lords Don't DoBut the Doctor Definitely Does
1. He daydreams:
It wasn't his fault, honestly! Rose should have known better than to wear such a short skirt with an almost see through top. In fact, she should know it was better (worse, definitely worse) if she covered every single inch of her body. It would be much, much easier for him to concentrate on fixing his sonic screwdriver. Every once in a while he would glance at her, but luckily she didn't notice. She was deeply engrossed in one of her magazines.
What would happen if he marched over to her, threw the magazine away and snogged her? He could practically feel her hands tearing at his hair, his arms around her waist. He could imagine running his arms up her back, feeling her shiver under his touch. Maybe he would run his fingers through her blonde hair, just to feel it.
"Doctor, are you all right?" she suddenly asked. She had stopped reading and was now staring at him. He realized he must have been staring at her for severa
Reasons Why the Doctor and Rose Should SnogThe Doctor was walking through the TARDIS, searching for his companion. They had just arrived at Cloacina and he was itching to explore it. However, he seemed to have lost Donna. She was not in the kitchen, her room or the pool. As he passed the library, he suddenly noticed the sound somebody typing on a computer. A smile spread across his face as he sprinted into the room, ready to drag Donna off to his adventure.Reasons Why the Doctor and Rose Should Snog2 years ago in Humor More Like This
She was sitting on the couch, fully engrossed in whatever she was doing, barely looking up as he ran into the room. He stood in the doorway, smiling broadly, and waiting for her to ask him what he was doing. However, she never did. She just kept typing, completely ignoring him. He coughed slightly, but she did not react. The last time this had happened was a few weeks ago, when he had accidentally ruined her favourite top (He was only trying to help her! He did not mean to make it burst into flames!) He stood there for another minute, before curiosity got the better of him.
ForgivenessIt was all his fault. He did not care what anybody would say. Guilt was slowly, painfully, tearing him apart from the inside as he watched the pale, still figure on the bed. It was useless, a small voice in his head said, but he refused to believe it. Sure, she had been mortally wounded and her heart was about to stop beating, but he would save her! He had to!Forgiveness4 years ago in Drama More Like This
But then, it happened. Her single human heart stopped beating and a shrill tone filled the TARDIS infirmary. For a moment he stood there, completely petrified, but then he was there, by her side, desperately trying to make it start beating again. Asking, begging for it. Please, little heart, wake up! Tears started to well up in his eyes, but he blinked them away. C'mon Rose! C'mon you daft little ape! Breathe! Live! PLEASE!
Memories filled his head. How they had first met. All of their travels. The Bad Wolf. The kiss (How could he ever forget?). His regeneration. The Sycorax invasion. New Earth. Queen Victoria.

"Excellent, ice-gun," he said and stared in awe at it.
"Fire extinguisher." The Doctor said, studying the robot closer.
"Oh where did that come from?" he asked, hesitantly moving closer. It looked weird with the mask and wig.
"Here," the Doctor said simply.
"Then why is it dressed like that? I mean it looks odd."
"Field trip to France. Some kind of basic camouflage protocol. Nice needlework, shame about the face." the Doctor removed the robot's face and Mickey could not hold back a gasp. It was made of some sort of plastic and inside was what looked like clockwork. "Oh, you are beautiful! No, really, you are. You're gorgeous! Look at that. Space age clockwork, I love it. I've got chills! Listen, seriously, I mean this from the heart, and, by the way, count those, it would be a crime, it would be an act of vandalism to disassemble you. But that won't stop me." He he
Conversations and Slaps - Sequel to ForgivenessThe Doctor watched as Jackie Tyler paced in front of him. He thought about saying something witty and clever like he always did, but decided against it. His cheek still stung painfully from the slap she had given him after seeing him and Rose doing something she clearly did not approve of. He glanced nervously at Rose who looked like she was torn between amusement and anxiety. He failed to see what could possibly be so funny.Conversations and Slaps - Sequel to Forgiveness3 years ago in Romance More Like This
Suddenly Jackie turned towards him, anger visible in her face. The Doctor fought the impulse to cover his face and run as fast as he could to the TARDIS.
"You snogged my daughter," Jackie said. Well, there was no way he could deny that. After all, Jackie had seen it herself, then marched over to them, pulled him away from Rose and slapped him so hard he saw stars, galaxies and supernovas.
"Yes, yes I did," he said as calmly as he could.
"Why? Was it a part of some weird alien ritual? Or did you just want to shag her?"
"Well," he started. It was probably not a good
DW: One Last KissThe Doctor looked sadly at the place Rose had disappeared. He felt like beating himself up, felt like crying and sobbing. But he had had to do it. He shook his head and ran to the computer, but he could not stop himself from glancing at the stop she had disappeared. He already missed her so much. He forced himself to work on the computer, but memories of the two of them kept resurfacing.
"How long are you gonna stay with me?"

Ten days in which he saved worlds, ran for his life, basically did what he had always done.
And every once in awhile he would forget what had happened. He would call her name and wait for her. He expected to find her in the kitchen with a cup of tea. He held out his hand and waited for her to take it.
Only to be disappointed. To remember she was no longer there.
He fought himself through the ten days without shedding a single tear. Until he accidentally opened the wrong door. The door to her room.
He froze and looked at the messy bed, the articles of clothing scattered on the floor, the open magazine on a table. She could have been there just yesterday.
Pictures decorated her wall. Some were of her and him with the big ears, the blue eyes and leather jacket. Others were of him, this him, with the big hair and the brown eyes. He couldn't help but smile. She had always been surrounded by memories whereas he kept running.

Really?! "G'night, Doctor." Rose said sheepishly as she rose from her place on the TARDIS pilot chair.Really?!3 years ago in Humor More Like This
"'Night." He responded, still fiddling with the ship's controls. Being absorbed in his own thoughts and coordinating the TARDIS; he jumped a bit when Rose had come behind him and slinked her arms around his waist.
"AH! Oi, You tryin' to give me a heart attack? Well, hearts attack, hearts attacking?...Anyway." The Doctor trailed off. He turned in Rose's arms and pulled her into a loving embrace. He placed his head atop hers and rested his face against her sun-kissed blond hair and breathed her in. He always loved the way she smelled; like honey-suckle and summer rain. Rose pulled out of the embrace, pecked her Doctor on the lips, and hazily shuffled to bed.
The Doctor watched her blissfully as she left the control r

Rose sniffed and turned away from the spot the TARDIS had disappeared, looking at the man beside her. Brown eyes met her, filled with a mix of both regret and happiness. "Why are you sorry?" she asked. "You didn't leave me here."
"But I knew it would happen," he admitted. "I knew it the moment we arrived. He he just wants you to be happy, but I'd be a fool, if I pretended you could possibly be happy with me. I know you love him, that wonderful Time Lord, and I'm just part-human with no time and space to offer you, and "
Rose smiled inwardly at his babbling. This was the final confirmation that this was really her Doctor. Her wonderful, gorgeous Doctor, right down to the really, really great hair. With no hesitation she lunged forward, pressing her lips to his in a kiss which was even more passionate as the one they had shared moments ago (if that were possible).

She tore her gaze away from the fingers and to his face. His eyes were closed and he looked so peaceful, like it was 30, not 900 years hiding underneath. She moved a little closer so that she could rest her head against his shoulder. She failed to see the small smile on his lips.
It had been a long time since had felt this way. Too long had he gone on without feeling how his hearts would speed up when that one person was near. Too long since he had last felt love like this, if he ever had. So long, it felt like forever.

Take Care - (Ten/Rose) One ShotThe Doctor sat in the kitchen, reading an old dusty book, while drinking a nice warm cup of tea. It wasn’t any particularly special book, but it was interesting just the same. It was an informational book about a very far off planet that the Doctor had visited once or twice.Take Care - (Ten/Rose) One Shot2 years ago in Romance More Like This
He had just finished eating breakfast. He normally waited for Rose to come out so they could eat breakfast together, but she didn’t come out at the normal time. He just figured she was sleepy from the previous day’s adventures, or maybe she just wanted to take a long shower.
Either way, the TARDIS drifted peacefully across the solar system while the Doctor drank his tea. He became so wrapped up in his book; he hadn’t noticed how much time had passed. It was nearly the afternoon! He now became curious about the whereabouts of Miss Rose Tyler.
He set down his book and took off his glasses. He rose from the table and walked through the corridors of the TARDIS. He approached the door to Rose
Rose Comes First"We're out of tea bags." Rose appeared in the doorway of the library.Rose Comes First4 years ago in Romance More Like This
The Doctor didn't look up from his book. He was sitting crossed legged on the sofa and clutching a mug of tea. "Yeah, sorry I used the last one, thought I'd get some more in the morning. I thought you'd gone to bed early anyway." He looked up at her, brow furrowing with concern; she was visibly drained and looked utterly miserable. She was wearing pink pyjamas and a hoodie that was far too big for her, one of his that he knew was her favourite so always wore to concerts when she refused to let him wear his suit. She'd wrapped her vibrant pink duvet around herself in a way which only made him more aware that she was really suffering. "Are you alright?" He stood up, book falling on the floor as he pulled her into a hug, the warm mug of tea held carefully out the way. She shook her head and leant into him, pressing her cheek against his chest as he rubbed her back. "How long have you been feeling like this?" He suddenly

"Hello," he replied, desperately trying to keep his voice from wavering.
"Is something the matter?" she asked, not one to beat around the bush.
"No, no, nothing at all. My, ah, plant seems to have just... died, is all. All things must come to dust, yeah?"
"Right?" Amy dropped the conversation when she noticed that the Doctor's sleeve was damp.
DW: The Only OneThe Doctor was practically pulling Rose after him, leaving Jack and Donna alone together in the console room. Normally, leaving Jack alone with a woman was the last thing he would ever do, but to be honest he did not care. Rose was here, she was here! "Doctor, where are we going?" He had an urge to stand still and let the wonderful sound of her voice wash over him.
"Just somewhere," he said. They were practically running now. Rose had never been in this part of the TARDIS before and tried to see as much as possible. There were golden doors, iron doors and one of the doors looked like it was made of grass. Suddenly the Doctor stopped and she collided with his back, but he didn't look fazed by it. "And here we are. Sorry, she has moved it since... anyway, Rose Tyler, allow me to show you the biggest black hole in the Universe," he pushed open the door, "Your room."

"Why? He might be able to do something about this," the Doctor said, looking for their attacker who had chased them up here.
"Yeah, but I can just imagine what he would say, 'The Doctor and Rose sitting in a tree'." Rose rolled her eyes. "He would never let us forget about this, and probably twist it so it's 'the Doctor and Rose shagging in a tree'."
The Doctor grimaced. "Yeah, he would definitely do that. How is that song, 'someone and someone sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G', right?"
"Yeah, then 'first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage. Again, Jack would probably say, 'First comes sex, then comes more sex, and then comes a baby with an extra heart'," she laughed a little at the look on the Doctor's face. "Hang on, just stay like that, I need to get my phone." He poked out his tongue at her, crossing his eyes at the same time, unaware she had already gotten h

This is the Tenth Doctor and Rose! I hope you like it!
The Doctor came out from under the console. Something was wrong. Something felt off.
Rose wasn't here.
That was it. She was usually out here by now, telling him to get out from wherever he was, have some breakfast, clean up, and yell at him for not taking better care of himself.
After adjusting a few knobs and levers to make sure the TARDIS stayed in the Vortex, he walked down one of the hallways until he reached Rose's room. Knocking softly, and not getting more of a response than a quiet grunt, he opened the door slowly.
He was greeted with the sight of a sweaty, flushed Rose curled up under her blankets and staring at him through half-closed eyes. "Hey, Doctor," she said, voice low and gravelly.
He rushed over to her bedside, putting the back of his hand on her forehead. "You're burning up!" he exclaimed. "I feel terrible," she replied quietly.

He loved watching her. When he did, all of time could collapse around him and he would not notice. He loved to see her run, loved to see her smile, loved to see her sitting down and doing absolutely nothing.
Some people would have called this slightly creepy, but those people had not seen the beauty of Rose Tyler. He, who had seen countless of galaxies, stars and planets, so much indescribeable beauty, was stumped by Rose Tyler's beauty.
He'd once said she looked beautiful for a human. Now he regretted ever saying that. For a human she was more than beautiful. There was not a word on Earth which could describe what she was.
He loved everything about her. Her blonde hair, her smile, her hazel eyes, her lips, her nose, her ears, every single curve of her body. She shone brighter than anything he had ever seen.
And it wasn't just on the outside, but on the inside as well. She was compassionate, brave, sweet and jeopardly-friendly. But he loved it all, perhaps a bit too muc
Sick Day- DW Short Story Amy rose with a start. Something had woken her from her sleep, but she wasn't sure what it was. She thought it might have been a crash of some sort. And then, there it was- a loud smash, followed by moaning and coughing. It seemed to be coming from next door- the Doctor's bedroom.
Curious to see what the Doctor's room looked like (she had never been in it), but albeit cautious, Amy pulled on a large robe and walked next door to the Doctor's room and switched on the light.
"Doctor? Are you all right?"
The Doctor's bedroom was large, larger than her own. He was able to fit a king-sized bed, a leather sofa, a flat-screen and a desk into one space. Various shelves with odd objects (such as past, broken sonic screwdrivers, a long, multicolored scarf, a twenty-first cent

Time Lords Don't Get Drunk...Right?All was silent in the TARDIS, but that was not surprising as both the Doctor and Rose had decided to take a night off... or rather, Rose had forced the Doctor to take the night off after having started a revolution Monday, almost been sacrificed to an ancient God Tuesday, met Albert Einstein and saved him from an alien, who lived off people's memories Wednesday (Though Albert was never quite the same again) and escaped certain death three times Thursday (To which the Doctor had gleefully commented, "I could never get the hang of Thursdays.")Time Lords Don't Get Drunk...Right?2 years ago in Romance More Like This

Rose Tyler and the Doctor hobbled inside, with the poor girl leaning heavily on the Doctor.
“Oi! Watch it!” Rose yelped as she nearly ran into one of the TARDIS pillars because of the Doctor’s stumble.
“Sorry! I’m not usually accountable for more than one person when walking!” He shouted in exasperation.
They finally reached the bench of the TARDIS and flopped down, clearly winded. They had just retreated from a strange alien planet, one that the Doctor was not completely familiar with. Apparently the inhabitants were hostile and they chased them all the way back to the TARDIS.
Unfortunately, on the way there, Rose was nearly caught by one of their unsightly alien pursuers, and took a hard fall. The good news is the Doctor was quick enough to heave her up and get back to the ship. The bad news is that Rose seemed to have been injured in all the commotion. Now she could barely walk and was limping horribly

On the other hand, this might be the thing that would chase away the nagging feeling in his gut since the Olympics, when the Beast had said that Rose would die in battle.
But still he regretted ever mentioning the Intergalactic Ball on New Earth. He had hoped the Cassandra incident would have scared her far away from that planet, but he had clearly underestimated Rose Tyler. How could a human be so brave, so amazing, so kind, so beautiful? That was why he lo... liked her. He did not love her. He would not love her. There, simple. Feelings always complicated good things.
Suddenly he heard the clicking of high heels nearing the console room, and he glanced at the clock. Oh, it had only taken her three hours. That was an improvement.

Suddenly, the Doctor felt a hand on his shoulder, which spun him around and then a sharp pain on his cheek as Donna slapped him, hard, a furious look on her face. "AUCH! Donna, what did you do that for?"

The words roll off his tongue with unexpected ease. He, of all people, knows how short a human life is, knows that every single second matters and should be treasured. He does not have the time to stall, unlike his Time Lord counterpart.
He pulls back from her, watching her face for any signs of emotion. For a moment, he is scared. Why would she choose him? He is almost as human as she is, albeit with a Time Lord brain. He does not have the TARDIS, nor all of time and space to offer. Why choose that, when she could have all of time and space on a plate?
