"There are those who say that Celestia's path is good, just, and noble. Enforcing order from the chaos that would ignite, should her hoof not be there to stamp it out.
There are those who say that she is a tyrant.
There are those who allege that Luna would lead the world into a glorious new age, wherein everypony would have freedom to live as they see fit.
There are those who allege that she is a traitor.
Celestia and Luna have always been at odds. One, entrusted with ambiguous responsibilities from an absent queen. One, jealous and fearful of what her beloved sister chose to become to preserve their way of life.
I wasn't there, so I can't say what sparked the insurrection. I can say that the Grand Solar Empire simply did not exist before the propaganda rained from the skies. I can say that I do not blame Celestia herself for what her armies have done. She was always so motherly when she graced my humble home, always seeming so confidant and wise. I can truly say that I loved her as

Clair watched Moxi through narrowed eyes until she'd passed through the palace doors and out of his line of sight. "So what do we want to do," Middy said, cutting the tense atmosphere, "should we head inside or wait out here to see if anyone else from Luneria is coming?"
"I have work to do," Clair muttered, bowing to the ponies before him, "so here is where I take my leave of you all. I'm sure I shall see you later in the evening." With that, the stallion trotted off leaving everypony else behind.
"Well," said Willow after a moment's pause, "I suppose it's just as likely they've beaten us inside as it is we should find them out here, let's get inside and just keep an eye open for familiar faces, eh?"
Everypony nodded their agreement and trotted through the flurry of illusory confetti to the magnificently adorned doors of Canterlot Palace's banquet hall.
"When you said food," Moxi said, watching Voltage scarf down an entire plate of chocolate-chip cookies, "I can't say this is what I ha

I was moping around about Dashie the next day, looking into my photo album. I stared at the photo of my little filly on the couch, sleeping the night she said, "I love you, Daddy. Goodnight." I remember that moment like I did my parents. Thinking about my parents made me even sadder. I went on the computer in my office, which used to be Dashie's room. That fact made me whimper a little, and I decided to get caught up on MLP FiM. I was searching for some season 3 videos when I saw a forum for it. I clicked it and the news page said: MLP FiM STARTING AGAIN! Of course, it was a few weeks old. It

CHAPTER 2: Orion's Big Day
From the moment the first rays of sunshine flowed through his bedroom window, Orion Sparkle woke up without a single ounce of hesitation, threw off the warm covers that enveloped him, and jumped out of bed. The room was cold and the world outside looked even more frigid, but instead of returning to the toasty embrace of his dreams, he only felt more awake than ever. His sister Andromeda often joked that it would usually take nothing short of magic to pull him out of the peaceful comatose he called sleep, but this was no ordinary day.
Life and enthusiasm rushed through his body in great vigor this morning because today was his birthday. Even more important, though, was its significance. All night long, he dreamed of finally getting his cutie mark and showing it to his friends. The “oohs” and “aahs” still reverberated in his mind as he rushed to a mirror, unable to contain his excitement any longer. With a quick turn, he spun hi

I gasped as I saw the cyan body of a pegasus with violet eyes and a rainbow mane and tail with the cutie mark of a rainbow lightning bolt coming out of a cloud, or so I had thought I saw. The man said: "Hey, I'm a traveler. Can I buy some food and water off of you?" He showed me a 10$ bill and I went to get him some food and fill his canteen. When I came back, he thanked me and left. As he walked away, I saw a rustle in a tree. "Birds," I thought out loud. I turned back into my house when in the kitchen, I saw the fridge still open. "Stra

In Which a Conman is Consulted, a Watson is Wanted, and a Trip is Taken.
The FiM District was certainly... something.
It was much like the /co/mpound, only less crowded. It had originally taken shape as a refuge during the ban wars, except back then it had been a massive, opulent city, built from rebellion and inhabited by the lost. However, since the end of the wars the population had slowly diminished, leaving many buildings empty and boarded up. Most large contributors had secondary offices in the better districts. The only others who cared to stay were the stubborn kind. The kind that said, if the mods didn't want them, screw that; they could make their own way. It was slow but, to a hoofull of ponies, it was home.
Unlike the /co/mpound there were few Anons running around, most every pony had a name and a story, but I only wanted to hear one of them.
The district bordered the /co/ast before pouring into the /b/ay and, eventually, the ou

When i saw Dashie sleeping next to me on that bed, I didn't know what to believe. I got out of bed as slowly as I could, trying not to disturb her. As I went downstairs, thoughts ran in through my head. Was she real? Why is she in my bed? How did she get here. WHEN did she get here? How did I not feel her crawl in my bed? Downstairs, i grabbed my camera and turned the flash off. I quickly but quietly went back upstairs into my room. She was still there. I took a picture with my camera to see if she was r

There was once a star in the times of old
That was one of the greatest and the brightest of all the skies.
He was known only as The Morning Star
With many gifts and blessings bestowed by his Creator
To make him one of His greatest creations.
His light was bright beyond anyones wildest dreams
Unrivaled by even the brightest of the stars.
His power was so great and mighty
That the universe would dance for him without uttering a word or lifting a finger
His knowledge and glory was so abundant
That it transcended all other creations
Wearing them like a brilliant cloak of royalty.
His speed was so quick
That he could be anywhere in an instant for he had no need for
Anything else for they would only slow him down.
His beauty was infinite and indescribable
And it added to his already brilliant light adding the beauty to its magnificence
With its nigh perfection.
His twelve wings of gold were some of the most breath taking in all of

In the prosperous Kingdom of Equestria, there is one thing that is most certain: music is everything to the gentle ponies of the land. From the old hymns of the ancient Imperium, to the bard songs of Medieval Equestria; from soft classical symphonies, to the loud beats of the infant techno scene, music had always been a part of the ordinary pony's life. A wise pony once said, "Without music, life would be a mistake."
For generation upon generation, it has been guiding force in the development of their culture and has been ingrained in the hearts and minds of the citizens of the prosperous country. It has turned enemies into friends. It has replaced chaos and suffering with peace and prosperity and it has turn

"Five minutes to curtain call!"
Sweetiebelle jumped as the stage hoof pony yelled through her dressing room doorway. "Th...thanks...I'll be right out!" She said as she glanced into the giant mirror that stood in front of her, staring at her now aged complexion. Years of sleepless nights and stress had certainly taken its toll on the mare, bags clearly evident under her eyes with her once beautiful figure now a thin and malnourished shell of her past self. Despite letting her looks go with time, Sweetiebelle had made it big in life. She was rolling in bits and living the high life in Canterlotâs most posh district. Everypony would come from miles around to hear her sing, which was a rare occurrence. Sweetiebelle had never been able to surpass her fear of singing in front of large crowds, yet her employer ne

Sweet Apple Acres was always a beautiful place to be during spring. The grass was always greenest, the air was always sweeter, and the birds always seemed to sing their happiest. It was wonderful.
"I bet you can't catch me!" taunted Scootaloo.
"We'll see about that!" replied a determined Sweetiebell.
"You guys," Spike paused to take in a few breaths, "go on. I'll catch up." The little dragon was awfully tired. He wasn't exactly made for running all day, like a pony. The young dragon placed his hands onto his knees and tried to fill his lungs with air as quickly as he could. They seemed to burn with each breath.
As Spike panted, a little yellow filly came walking up beside him. She laid a hoof onto his shoulder, which caused him to look up at her. Instantly he noticed her crimson mane and the Cutie Mark Crusaders cape she was wearing, like the others.
"Are ya ok?" asked Applebloom.
Spike drew in a few more breaths and replied "

It was a wind-raged, stormy day in the small town of Ponyville. The pegasi (mainly Rainbow Dash) had once again forgotten to keep up with the years normal weather schedule. This, of course, meant that there would have to be a doozy of a downpour to make up for lost rain and everypony was outside preparing the town for the incoming storm. Twilight was just finishing up on bundling a large pile of branches when Applejack walked up beside her. "Hey there sugarcube! How ya comin' along there?" the farm pony asked in a sort of enthusiastic voice.
"Pretty good." Twilight responded. "Just finishing up on my part of the preparations. How about you? How are you coming

It was a bright and sunny Monday morning; the leaves of the tree house blew lightly in the calm breeze. A purple unicorn fluttered her eyes awake as the sun penetrated the light pink curtains of her bedroom.
"Ugh" she moaned, turning her turn into the pillow. "That stallion lied to me, these curtains don't block sunlight. I must remember to send him a complain letter."
It had been two days since the 'incident' at Applebloom's party. Neither Rainbow Dash nor Applejack had shown their faces in town since then, probably embarrassed to death. Twilight has known that feeling before on several occasions.
Twilight tossed and turned in bed, trying to fall back to sleep, but it was no use.
"Fine!" yelled the purple-maned unicorn, tossing up the bed sheets in frustration. "You win again Celestia, you send me to study and then you don't let me catch up on slee

A deadly silence had fallen over the room. Everypony just stared. No-pony moved. Shining Armor was the first to move. He stood next to Zecora and gave Cadence a light shake. She didn't stir.
'No . . . No . . .' Shining Armor murmured under his breath, his eyes filling with tears. Twilight Sparkle and Zig-Zag slowly approached the bed. Queen Chrysalis grinned wickedly.
'This is all my fault!' exclaimed Zecora, putting her head in her hooves and joining Shining Armor, Twilight Sparkle and Zig-Zag who were already crying.
'She's dead!' cried the elated changeling queen, 'She's history!'
'You're going to pay for this!' snarled Luna, glaring through angry tears.
'Your niece is dead, Luna!' Queen Chrysalis cackled.
Princess Celestia appeared just as Queen Chrysalis was flying out through the paneless window, pursued by Princess Luna, who only just got out before Queen Chrysalis replaced the pane of glass. Celestia, who had just returned from raising the sun, looked around the room, mom

I'm laying with my eyes closed tight, scared and unsure of what is happening. I can hear voices around me, happy voices I think. I'm not quite sure. They’re saying something, something that doesn’t make sense to me.
“You have such a bright future ahead of you in this world!” one would say, and another would go on about how “you are so cute!”
I don’t think anyone is talking to me, but I don’t fully understand what is being said anyways.
I’m trying to open my eyes, but don’t they seem to be working right. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this how the world , whatever that is, is supposed to look?
Wait! I see something now. An intense light, but it’s blurry. I can’t make out what I am seeing. Something blue, but it’s slowly becoming more clear. Blue with gray behind it. Its my hoof! What…what can I do with it? It moves! And I can see more now.

"Hmm, maybe if I do it this way... No no, that won't work..."
Twilight grumbles as she scratches something out on her scroll paper, her magic-controlled quill moving farther down the parchment and beginning to write again. It stops after a moment, Twilight's eyes narrowing in thought, contemplating how best to go about this spell. After a few seconds, something clicks, the unicorn's quill scribbling upon the scroll once more. She observes her writing closely, and a wide smile stretches across her face. "Yeah, I bet that's it!"
She finishes writing, magically lifting the parchment in the air and giving it a good once over with her eyes. Then, she winces. "A lot of crossed out stuff though... I'm gonna have to rewrite it! Ugh!"
She sets the scroll back on the table, next to a fresh one, magically picking up her quill and sighing, dipping it in the inkwell before writing again. "Curse my neat stre

The Manehatten Virus Chapter Nine: The Sacrifice
Fifty Days After the Outbreak
Spike was standing in the kitchen of Applejack's home, preparing Applebloom something for lunch. She had asked for a daisy sandwich, which was actually turning into a slight problem. There were always daisies outside so that was simple enough, but bread; bread was a problem. After a few days the grocery stores were emptied, bread was one of the first things to go.
The little dragon placed a few flowers onto a plate and then he made his way over to the sink. He knew he didn't have to, but washing his hands had become a bit of a habit. Nowadays it was a rather good habit.
As he scrubbed his scales, Spike glanced up at the window and gazed upon two small crosses. The memory of digging those graves would be burned into his mind forever. But what he'd probably remember the most was the smell; that awful smell.
"Spike?" called Applebloom.

As the two separate groups of changelings flew off from Canterlot, green flames quickly encircled each one as they took on the forms of pegasi. Better to arouse less suspicion as long as they could. With their disguises no in place, the seven sped off beyond the boundaries of Equestria, each intent on getting to their respective Hives as fast as possible. They flew over largely populated areas and the few scattered towns on the outskirts, only resuming their true form as they drew closer to their landing-place, far off the Equestrian border.
Though the ultimate destination of each of the small swarms was different, all of them were zooming off toward their homeland, a forested area which was almost swamp-like at some points, a sickly green mist present around it. It was a location that very few ponies ever went to, extending across dozens of miles.
As each member of the swarms was intent on bringing the news back to their ruler, t
