An Angel,
An Angel on this Field of Ice,
Notices,
I hesitantly step on this,
Field of Ice.
This surface of ice,
It is but the most slippery,
And Daunting
Field of ice.

I try moving slowly,
On this surface of ice,
But my Crooked skates,
Knock me off balance.
As I start to fall,
For the very first time,
I accept help,
And In no time,
A hand catches me within the fall,
She catches me from my misery,
And helps me escape the pain,
From this,
Field Of Ice.

She then,
With the sweetest voice,
Asks me,"Are you OK?",
Even though I seem afraid,
I nod aimlessly,
While I reach for her fragile hand,
I grab her hand firmly,
With the the grip even death itself,
Knows to be too tight.
This grip is,
Painful,
Hurtful,
And Almost unbearable.
Even though it is so hard,
For her to bear,
She continues to hold my hand,
Helping me inch forward on this slippery,
Field of Ice,

At first we move slowly,
But our speed gradually increases,
Suddenly,
She lets go,
Telling me, "I will be back"
I watch her carefully.
As she zooms past me with her graceful speed,
I notice the aura brighten the ice under her.
For the very first time,
I feel as though I have seen,
An Angel,
An Angel on this,
Field of Ice.
A poem about my Beautiful Angel

This is a beautiful lake in the area. The water smoothed just as we stopped by. Minutes later you could not see a reflection on the water's surface. So I was super lucky. I hope you all enjoy!

This is Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park.

One of the only good sunsets from the Yosemite trip at what I can only assume is Mirror Lake, which is merely a flooded field. The trail was closed further down the way due to a massive 2009 rockfall and the light was fading quickly. I went ahead and posted up here, shooting what I could with my limited surroundings. Since my composition isn't very strong, I felt like the color version was lacking anything interesting for you to look at. Deciding to process in monochrome, I aim to highlight the tonal values, textures and patterns, more so than the scenery itself.

An exotic run out to Cacaluta Bay in Huatulco, Oaxaca, Mexico.

Fresh water to bath in during a hot day and under a shade you'll find a place to lay down while listening to the gentle roars of the waves.
