Girls and boys, out in the world today from Image Comics, Elephantmen 38, written by Richard Starkings and drawn by yours truly. It's been almost two months since the last issue, but hopefully it's worth the way. At least I'm having the time of my life drawing it.

This here is the opening page... drawing Hyena men is fun.

You can check the first six pages here:

AND... the month is closing, and the voting at the Eagle Awards closes, too... if you can spare a vote, it will be really appreciated:

Girls and boys, as you probably read somewhere, the great Joe Kubert passed away this week. He was probably the last of the great cartoonists who was at the beginning of the industry, same as Kirby and Eisner. His influence can't be measured, nor the lives he made better and full of inspiration.

So, this week in The Line It is Drawn, we did a heartfelt homage to him. I went with Hawkman, Tor and Sgt. Rock, three of the characters he's most associated with. You can see the full gallery here:

This was published in the Souvenir Book of this past SDCC... I always wanted to draw these characters, so, just for fun...

Girls and boys, this week at The LIine it is Drawn we have a tribute to Tony DeZuniga, by means of his creation Jonah Hex. Here's Jonah teaming up with Hellboy. I resisted putting a shared thought ballon saying "At last, a partner uglier than I!"... maybe I should have, oh, well. Some fine pieces in the full gallery:

Girls and boys, since I loathe having free time or sleeping time, here's something we'll be launching this wednesday from Image Comics. Hoax Hunters, created and written by Michael Moreci and Steve Seely, and drawn from issue 1 by yours truly.

This is a very different creature to Elephantmen... lots of criptozoology and chances to draw creepy monsters... those up there are Murder and Ken, two of the hosts in a TV show devoted to investigating real supernatural happenings. And labeling as hoaxes. One of them is a reanimated corpse, and the other is a... Mercury project spacesuit filled with crows? You can check a preview here:

Issue 1 is out in the world this wednesday... if you are at SDCC, you can get it at the Image booth and I'll gladly sketch you something!

Girls and boys, this week in The Line it is Drawn, as a homage to Ray Bradbury, we have comic book characters in famous science fiction stories.

This is maybe Harlan Ellison's most famous story, with good reason. Treat yourselves and go read it. And if Harlan is surfing the web, I hope he doesn't get too mad at yours truly...
