I stamp down the underbrush with my boot. The dry leaves and dead plants snap sharply, like firecrackers. The moon, full, shines through the overhanging branches of the trees. Notes of the silvery light shone like pillars of silvery mist stretching into the sky. The trees, now dark and foreboding in the night, loom over as if looking down on me. My footsteps seem explosive in the dead silence, unbroken except by the sound of small creatures dashing through the grass. I feel, as if I am being watched by the shadows themselves. The sensation seems to increase, like a gentle pressure at the back of my head. I quickly whirl around to face.....nothing. Only the dark trees and darker shadows. I think I see moving figure, in the swirling darkness, seeming to be cloaked in the very dark of night. I hesitate, wondering if it is paranoia from my fear filled mind or an evil figure darker than night itself. The fear takes over, overloading my senses and controlling my limbs.
PWF Profile - DibPWF Profile - Dib2 years ago in Profiles More Like This
For seven long years, Dib has been trying to expose/destroy the Irken invader, Zim, who showed up in his fifth grade class one day. As soon as Dib saw this green kid, he KNEW he was an alien. Of course, no matter how obvious it was, and no matter how hard he tried to prove it, no one believed Zim was really an alien. He became very discouraged after awhile.
After about four years, something happened between Zim and Dib that changed EVERYTHING between them. However, I will not tell you what it is yet. After this event, Zim had actually tried LESS to destroy the Earth, even though he always talked about it. Not only that, but he seemed less like a threat to Dib and more like a source of entertainment. Zim started barging right into Dib's room randomly, climbing in through the window, and insisting on bugging him. Annoyed as he was, Dib didn't actually TRY to make Zim leave. They still hated eachother... or at least they kept saying they did. No matter how much they hated eachother though

He was lying on the bed with his hands behind his head, staring at the ceiling, fully dressed and waiting patiently.
It was a fairly small room, made up of a single bed, a small desk and chair, a small cupboard, and a toilet and sink.
After a few minutes there was the sound of the door being unlocked.
It swung open and a man walked in with a clipboard in his hand.
"Alright, it's time. Come with me"
The boy stood up and grunted as he stretched arms into the air.
They both walked down the clean white hallway, past a number of doors with locks on the outside.
"Two years huh?"
The boy didn't reply, he just kept walking with his hands in his pockets.
"I remember when you first got here, never had so much much trouble from one person"
Again there was no answer.
"But look at you now, an entire year early for good behaviour. You should be proud, that the most time off I've seen and I've been here for twelve years"
"I guess I just got tired of fighting a loosing battle"
"Well don't worry. I'm s

It was a cold winters evening.
The forest was a blanket of snow, with more falling from the sky.
A cold wind rustled the trees and pushed the snowflakes so they fell at an angle.
The serene wilderness was broken by only one sound, the sound of footsteps.
The snow crunched under her feet, giving way and letting them sink in, making it hard to run.
It wasn't easy to begin with, as she'd been going for days, even weeks without being able to stop for a good rest.
She was a young girl, only in her late teens, far too young to be out in the wild alone, but she didn't have a choice.
She was being chased, stalked, tracked and hunted.
Her hunter was relentless, unforgiving and merciless.
If she wasn't careful, she could be dead before sunrise.
After pushing through the snow she caught her foot on a stone, and was unable to stop herself from falling.
She fell to the ground and immediately clutched her hip.
Looking down she saw she had reopened the wound, as her clothes were starting to turn red.

Don't tell me you love me if you are not sincere
For a lie that strong can ruin my life and bring on a new fear.
Fear to be loved, fear to love ever again
It can cause my fragile heart to break, tear and bend.
Think of all in life that will be missed
because of one small broken promise
So, when I put all of my trust deep within you
Please don't tell me you love me, unless you truly do.

Chapter 1: The Invasion
Ships flown busily towards and from a deep pinkish colored planet, lights emitting far from its surface to the point it looked like it was speckled with them from all over. Many ships hovered over the planet, some monitoring the leaving and entering vehicles. The surface below looked rather sinister yet majestic from the towering metropolis that covered almost the whole planet. Tons of the towers were grey, while some building maintained its magenta hue like the ships that hovered by. The citizens who were more like soldiers marched in numbers towards their destinations. Their magenta uniforms clashing against the grey buildings and blending with the same colored buildings. They each had a different tint of green skin with some having either magenta, purple, green, or brown eyes. Each of them sporting two thin antennae some curled to distinguish the female to the males who had antennae that bent at the ends. Some of them were expressionless and more focused towa

Round 4: Part 5
The chill night air consumed my burning lungs. After running for who-knows how long, my paws finally gave up and I was forced to slow my pace. I had set Stan down in order to free my mouth, letting myself pant the tiredness off. After awhile my hot breath melted away all my shivers. If only they could melt away my aching body.
"Stan, who were those dogs?" I asked once my panting stopped and my breathing returned to a steady rhythm.
"I don't know," he replied, ears twisting around, "I didn't like the sounds of them."
"I'm confused. Wouldn't a rebellion against the tourney be a good thing?"
Stan merely shook his head. He closed his eyes and let out a sigh, "Nothing is truly good in this city anymore. Just don't think about, Caesar. You just have to focus on surviving what's set before you now."
But how could I? Nothing made much sense, but how could I just walk around pretending the problems weren't there? H

I'm the salt
In your wound
I was made to make it hurt
But I'm myself
I'm the salt
In your wound
I used to make things heal
But I changed
What have I become
My sweetest friend?
I don't like the one I am
But it's so hard for me to change
I'm the salt
And you can't turn me into flour
Something innocent, something pure
I'm the salt, rub me in your wound

"Don't worry about what happened back there." Jasc said to Willow as they headed down the hall.

"Sorry, I didn't mean " She had just remembered how Jasc was treated, and knew it wasn't anything like what she had gone through.
"I understand." He smiled a bit. "You never know. That could just be a really uncommon power you have."
"Yeah, but at first it looked like I had water abilities. I can't have two can I? And even if I did have two, what the heck was the second one?"
"I've never heard of a Chao having two separate powers, but it may be possible. As for what the second thing was, I have no clue." Jasc responded. Willow sighed, trying not to look down at her bloody hands. Finally, the two came upon the nurse's office. They stepped inside and closed the door, then approached the nurse who was sitting a

Re-Imagining Swat Kats
If there was one thing MegaKat city hated more then the criminal element, it was vigilantes.
Not that they hadn't had their fair share of effective citizen heroes, the most famous now infamous example being Dark Kat who served the people as a silent, thankless defender from the shadows for years. Then for reasons still unknown to the day he turned villainous, leading a wave of terrorism and violence unparalleled in the city's checkered history. After the fall of Dark Kat it was a nigh capital offense for regular civilians to carry firearms, operate military grade vehicles, or engage in any unsanctioned heroic activities whatsoever.
That would be the job of the government owned and operated Enforcers.
And it was this lone opportunity to serve their populace (as well as legally gain access to high-grade explosives, gunships and well guns) that appealed to childhood friends Chance Furlong and Jake Clawson, the former being a Brutal Ba

Wings Of Fire
Send me off to the fiery abyss
Free me from life's grip
Morals have been tortured
Strengths have been reversed
Desires have been submersed and purged
I plead for you to pass the torch
Hand over the destiny I've been waiting for
Let me finish off this unbearable dirge
Weep not for singed sins
Leave behind the memories
Mourn not for scarred skin
Forgive every tragedy
Set ablaze that darkness within
Grasp onto serenity
Fuel the flame for the ending
Cling onto clarity
There's peace after pain
Calm can engulf chaos
There's love behind hate
Freedom masks weakness
I've abandoned every promise
I couldn't complete what was said
My hope cannot rise from the ashes
Please, do not follow my footprints of flame
They only lead down a path where infernos cascade
There is no honorable life or even death for what I became
Consume this cruel reality

Time was moving ever so slowly, one can say it was almost painful. She took a light breath, her hands by her side, and her feet nervously shuffling in and out. Out of all the murmurs and worried faces, the sand beneath her twisting feet was all she noticed. It was time.
There was a silent and grave pause. As she took a non hesitated step forward, the crowd erupted with applause. Her face displayed no hint of emotion. It was as if her body wasn't hers, and that her steps were being taken by another. It wasn't until she reached the stage and faced her fellow district for it to truly sink in.
She shook the colorful man's hand with as much grace as she could. Her knees began to buckle slightly. Next was the male's drawing. Abner Kruschev. Except this boy boldly volunteered. A large roar overcame the area, similar to the sound of waves crashing in the palisades. Abner walked onto stage. His steps were full of confidence as he held his head high. His eyes had a desperate glint, his lips were pulled into a nervous lineóbut then, he'd always been good at acting in various ways to get what he wanted, though the last thing she'd expected him to feign was insomnia.
"Come on, Francis," she said, giving him a doubtful look. She folded her arms across her chest and studied his anxious expression, trying to gauge its genuineness. "You're not really having trouble falling asleep, are you? Don't you usually sleep like a log?"
"J'ai eu un cauchemar," he murmured. His gaze dropped to the floor, and he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. "I can't sleep now."
Her heart softened at his uncharacteristically hesitant tone, and she relaxed a little, leaning back against the wall. "What was the nightmare about?" she asked, gentling her own voice.

Queen of Insanity
These invisible walls
Hold me inside.
Stuck in a never-ending maze,
Comfort, I can't find.
Like scars on my heart,
I'm hurt but it's not seen.
My sanity's tearing apart,
And it will make me queen.
Queen of Insanity,
Queen of the Insane,
As wrong as death itself,
Like the ideas I have slain.
The ideas are a whirlpool
Of sorrow and fear.
I say I've thrown them away
But in my heart, they are here.
Queen of Insanity,
Queen of the Insane,
My laws are Hell itself.
My laws will burst your veins.
