I would also like to say sorry for not being able to answer on everything lately, especially new watchers and favs after I got my first DD in Nov. I got totally overwhelmed with over one thousand messages! So if I would to answer every single message, it would take a while^^ So I say thank you here instead so that you know it means a lot to me, and I hope that you keep sticking around so that I can thank you more personally later^^,
I always try to write down goals for the new year, what I would like to accomplish, and I thought I could share some of them with you, since a lot of them is about my art.

I am new to this site. By "site", I mean a site where I publish surreal pictures, edited ones, which is totally new for me. I am here to discover and to watch interesting works. To show my work also, eventually. I like creative/devious images but I like also realistic ones of course.
I am especially here to find rays or sunshine through artistic works.
English is not my language, forgive my mistakes, please.
Many greetings to you all!
Happy New Year!
Thank you to my watchers!

A little story...Wanted to share this story with you guys, and future creators:A little story...1 year ago in Personal More Like This
After getting out of a slump, I wanted to share this story of something I went through a few years back. Bit of a read, but thanks for sticking through it
As you know, Comic-Con is arriving and as I prepare for it, I grow more and more anticipated with anxiety/joy in regards to the re-release of Last Man Standing.
As long, challenging, and mind-opening the creation of LMS was, something really stuck with me.
Before I had created LMS, I wanted to work for WETA Workshop. To those that don't know them, they've created props, designs, sets, costumes, and more for The Lord of the Rings, Avatar, District-9, Elysium, The Hobbit and many more films.
I was obsessed and inspired with them. The creator, Richard Taylor was always a huge inspiration to me. After viewing supplements on the Extended Editions of The Lord of the Rings DVDS, I knew right there: I HAD TO WORK FOR THEM.
So I al

Let's Learn Portraiture: Natural LightingWelcome to the second installment of Let's Learn Portraiture! The previous installment was about Model Communication. For this installment, we will be tackling a topic for those photographers who enjoy taking portraits outdoors.Let's Learn Portraiture: Natural Lighting2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Portraiture with Natural Lighting
1.) Avoid Direct Sunlight
While it can really bring out the color of the eyes and make them pop, having your model stare into the sun should never be on the agenda. Not only is it exceedingly uncomfortable for your model, but it casts very harsh shadows. In most cases, you want to position your model with the sun behind them, or to the side. This will illuminate the hair and offer a nice glow. The issue then is that the subject's face may be too dark (underexposed). To solve this, you can bounce some light back into th

An interesting idea I had as I was looking through my comments.
500 points being given.
If you don't really care about entering, just favorite this journal to be entered in to win 100 points.
The main idea is to make me laugh by using the simple doge meme on one of my photographs. It can be any of them; the choice is yours but it must follow certain guidelines.
Please post it to your sta.sh and post it on this journal.
Be original. (You can look to comments from inspiration but don't completely take the ideas there.)
If you have no idea what the shibe/doge meme is. Take this photo for example.
These photos utilize the the comic sans font, usually rainbow colors and text of varying sizes. Th
How to get really DARK backgroundsPeople ask me this all the time. How do I get such dark backgrounds on my drawings. The answer is complex, so I will step it out below. How to get really DARK backgrounds5 years ago in Personal More Like This
1) The paper you use MATTERS! I use only Bristol, which is 2 or 3 times thicker than drawing paper, so it has a strong tooth to the paper
2) I use either B or 2B. The softer you go (3B-9B) the more wax is in the graphite, which makes it like a crayon and hard to blend.
3) I KEEP the pencil SHARP, and I hold it SIDEWAYS.
4) I do small sections at a time
5) I TURN the pencil in my fingers as I darken the area. This also helps keep the pencil sharp.
6) I use a back and forth scraping motion, that I can FEEL dig into the paper.
7) I end up going back over it more than once before finished, in a different direction.
8) I LATER use a harder pencil (H, F) and go over the dark area again
9) I use a "workable spray fixative" made by Krylon which reduces glare
10) I never use a flash on the camera when taking the photo of it
11) I ONLY take the photo during the

Let's Learn Portraiture: Model CommunicationIn an effort to further give back to the community, I have decided to kick off a series of informative articles called 'Let's Learn Portraiture.' The goal will be to cover topics related to people and portrait photography. To start, we will cover a topic suggested by ThomasJergelLet's Learn Portraiture: Model Communication2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Communicating With Your Model
Get to Know Your Subject
Different photographers take different approaches to how they interact with their models, but I've always taken a personal approach. Learning about your subject's interests can not only make them more comfortable, but it can also lead to more striking images that follow along with those interests. Communication is key when it comes to interacting with your model, and building a quick rapport is important in order to solidify that.
When working with amateur models who may not be familiar with posing for the camera, you may often find that they will resort to e

Please note the new change in age categories. The founder and the panel of judges have discussed the possibility of extending the upper age limit this spring, and a new change is in effect this year.
Category 1 is now for ages 13 & 14. (Previously just 13.)
Category 2 is now for ages 15 & 16. (Previously 15 & under.)
Category 3 is now for ages 17 & 18. (Previously 17 & under.)
The cut-off date for age qualification is the same as before. It is based on your actual age as of August 15, 2013. If you're 19 on that day, sorry, you're considered too old for this contest.
I ask all participating artists to read the full information BEFORE submitting entries to this contest, but here's the quick rundown of the bare minimum info. (Once again, if you have questions after reading this part, go read the full version found at the left column of the group pa

Bastille, Oh Bastille. So,Bastille, Oh Bastille.6 months ago in Personal More Like This
While I was in the UK a band came out, Bastille.
I knew about them before they where famous.
And as I work my way through their record, "Bad Blood"
I am just.. In awe. All of their music.
Just define my life and what I am going through right now.
Its just; amazing.
I cant even begin to describe the effect they have had on my life.
I can hook my phone up to a huge radio in my room and I just turn it up full blast and listen to it.
Jam to it.
I have like all of the live, and acoustic versions of the songs, and I love them all dearly.
Theres a lake by my house, and I go down there and prance up and down the docks, singing at the top of my lungs, and I dont care. I dont care what people think of my voice, of my dancing, I just let loose listening to those songs, and I feel free.
Bastille, has changed my life.
I wish I could tell them so.
Oh Bastille, how I love you so.
