Dramatic sunset light over a ripe field of wheat as a summer storm approaches in rural Warwickshire, England.
Probably the best light display I caught last year - one of those times you sense it can surely only be moments before it starts to royally piss it down! Makes me wonder if it's wise to be running around on a hilltop with a big metal tripod, but the adrenaline and rush to capture the light always overrides any urge to think rationally (thankfully!). Fun times... and the soaking was pretty refreshing too
Perfectly tugged away and sheltered from the ever apparent winds during sunset, sits this little tarn in the Estany D'Amitges area of the park, enjoying the sweeping view and huge drops with a few selected people, marmots and chamois. In the distance, the peaks of Els Encantats and Subenoix (correct me if I'm wrong) loom over the Sant Maurici valley.
A close look at the stunning McWay Falls in Big Sur at sunset as an incoming wave meets the backwash.
This is a place I've wanted to visit ever since I first saw an image of it and when I realised by chance a recent trip to California put me only a few hours away I couldn't resist popping down for a peek.
The Cloud Gods may not have been smiling down on me that day but it was an amazing place to soak up and I walked away with a handful of shots I'm reasonably happy with. Can't say fairer than that! More 'traditional' shots still to come.
P.S. - Apologies for absence lately, life has been a bit of a blur these past couple of months but I'm gradually getting caught up and back into the swing
