The Enderman's Return - Part 12He laughed. I lost everything. The Ender Mother was dead, Amy had just fallen before me, and every rational thought slipped from my mind. I felt as though he had ripped my heart from my chest and torn it to shreds. He had killed her, and he still had the nerve, the audacity, to laugh. The Enderman's Return - Part 123 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
I threw him off. Rage made me forget about the wound in my side. I went after him, punch after punch. I was actually landing hits, one after another. A total of seven before he managed to block one. The fury that boiled over within me was definitely helping. I grabbed the arm he had blocked with, using that to throw him aside. He tried to throw me back again, but I hid in the shadows and threw him forward.
Right into the arms of my waiting brethren. They engulfed him in mere instants, yet I knew it wasn't over. They were blasted aside, and Herobrine - bruised and bleeding slightly - spat at the ground in front of me. He was clearly hurt, and I was still angry.

Finnicks Story chapter OneFINNICK ODAIR'S STORYFinnicks Story chapter One4 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
I thought it'd be interesting to write about when Finnick Odair was in the Hunger Games for the first time. The following story is make believe and I don't own any of the names that are used in the Hunger Games. This is purely fan made fun and not created to insult, annoy, or any of that other stuff, the people involved in the book or movie. This is pure fictional fiction, in a way.
Enjoy all the same, please.
Cool salty water, beautiful green and blue, beckons me as the bell rings, telling us to leave the school and head for the boats to get ready for the evening fishing. First to my feet and first to the door, I sense the girls following me out, as they do every evening. Resist the urge to grit my teeth in annoyance, I slip into the hallway, looking down it toward the doors where the younger students are leaving. There's one person, one girl, I wouldn't mind following me. She never does but
The Enderman's Return - Part 3Dawn finally rose. I had been boredly scratching at the wood flooring of the little hut, staring absentmindedly out the window. Amy had stopped talking after she spotted a Creeper passing by the small window. I wondered vaguely why she seemed so afraid of them, but then I remembered that I was human now. Creepers would explode before me any chance they got.The Enderman's Return - Part 33 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Though I'm sure Amy saw me as a boring, silent human, my mind was churning. How would I get back to being myself again? Was Herobrine behind this? How would I survive as a human? All I knew was lingering in the shadows and staying as far away from humans as possible.
And I didn't think it was possible to avoid myself, at this point.
"I think it's safe to head out now," Amy said, climbing to her feet. "Come on, End, you can help me watch for that creeper. It's probably lying in wait for us to come out..."
I stood as well, and another thought crossed my mind. How was I supposed to defend myself? I no longer had my height and my streng
Finnick's Story 2The mirror shows a teenager, red curls falling over his sea green eyes, wearing a white shirt and black pants. It's hard to think of that reflection as myself because the reflection is tall, lean, powerful looking with an expression of cool at-ease. Inside, though, my stomach is churning and my heart is beating faster than normal. Last night my dreams were of running through a wooded arena, following the sound of a scream I know too well. My voice was hoarse from screaming when I fell out of my bed and woke myself up. Annie. If she was chosen, I would have to volunteer. I'd go to the arena and die trying to keep her alive.Finnick's Story 24 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
I pick up my jacket and head out the door, onto the cobbled street. The town is alive with color and fake merriment. Banners display the face of President Snow, as well as the faces of past District Four winners. District Four has had a fair amount, though for the last few years, our tributes have been dying within two days. The last woman to win, who didn't lose her
'I'll never let you go' Chapter 2Much to my father's dismay, I survived the winter and the next one too. My mother scrimped and saved her pennies left over from her dresses to buy me extra food and rich milk to fatten me up. It worked. By the time she died from exhaustion when I was two, there was no way my father could claim I was weak, although I was still small. I can't remember my mother but I know she must have loved me a lot, because why else would my sisters have been so jealous of me? Certainly not for my looks. No, the only conclusion I can draw is that our mother had a special favouritism for me that they envied. Which didn't do me any favours, actually.'I'll never let you go' Chapter 23 years ago in Emotional More Like This
After Mum died, Dad let himself go. It was easier to drown his sorrows in gin and morphling than to acknowledge that he had six hungry daughters at home, waiting for him to return. Rose and Laurel stepped up to the role of housekeepers pretty well; they were bright enough to be able to ration our money enough to tie us over to Dad's next pay day. Well, until

My knee wouldn't stop jerking up and down. I sat on the plush, velvet sofa in the District 2 Justice Building, breathing deeply and trying to remember what had just happened.
You got reaped. No one volunteered for you. Then Cato volunteered. To save you. Cato volunteered to save you.
I buried my head in my hands and tried to stop my heart from beating out of my chest. The Peacekeeper who was guarding me glanced over and nodded his head towards the glass of water on the desk. I got up and walked over on wobbly legs to it. The glass was clear and intricately carved with tiny flowers, unlike our cloudy cups at home. It clinked against my teeth because I was struggling to keep my hands from shaking.
In the room next door, I could hear Cato's family talking with him. No doubt Eliza would be crying. She was such a softie when it came to her boys. Darian would be thrilled. He'd been egging Cato on to volunteer since he was fourteen; sure that Cato could become the next Finnick Odair and
'I'll never let you go' Chapter 6Seven months later, I came home from school only to find the door to my new home, that I shared with Viola and my brother-in-law, Sable locked. Surprised, I tried to open it again, then a third time. By the time our neighbour, old Mrs Blackstone, stumbled out of her house, I was practically breaking the door down.'I'll never let you go' Chapter 63 years ago in Emotional More Like This
'No one will answer it,' she snapped at me. 'So stop it now, you're waking my cats up.' I stopped, if only for the sake of the cats. I had been on the receiving end of their claws more than once, and let me tell you, the result was not pretty.
'Where's my sister?' I asked her.
Mrs Blackstone sniffed distastefully. 'Hospital. Her husband took her there this morning, just after you left. Told me to tell you that the baby's coming.' She shook her head. 'Totally unnecessary, if you ask me. In my day, woman gave birth at home, in private. None of this medical nonsense. The Capitol's corrupting us all, mark my words '
Rolling my eyes, I turned away from Mrs Blackstone and spri

From then on, we were a team. A unit, I should say. CatoandClove, CloveandCato. We dominated the training centre, we stuck together at school. I had a friend for the first time in my life and it felt amazing. For a while, I was scared to get too close to him seeing as everything else I've ever got close to had always been taken away from me. But after time had passed, I began to let my guard down a bit more, laughing at his jokes (even the bad ones) and even making some of my own. Going to the centre after school with him became the one thing that kept me going, especially when things got bad at home. Which they did of course.
The day I understood how much I needed Cato was the day my father died. It was a Saturday evening when I was eleven and I was in my room reading a book and occasionally flicking a knife onto the door. Just to keep in practice. My father was downstairs, no doubt downing the bottle of gin Laurel had brought the day before. My sisters were all either out, or r

If you're reading this, congratulations. It means that you've overlooked the stereotypical 'Careers' the Fire Girl made us out to be in her book and are curious to find out more about us. Me and Cato, that is. You see, when you watch the Games you only get one side of the story. You see the story the Gamemakers write, the story they dictate. And when you've read the books, you only get Fire Girl's perspective on it, which, let's be honest, is a little biased. So, Cato and I are going to tell you our story, our way, our Games. But to start with, we'll have to take you to District 2.
Cato says I can tell about our childhoods. I suppose for him there's not much to tell. He's the eldest child of Darien and Eliza Burgh who were pretty well off; Darien being the youngest son of a previous Victor. He worked in a munitions factory as a supervisor, while Eliza stayed home with the children. There were three, all boys, Cato, Aiden and Saul, with two years between each respectfully. Darien

Hello. Cato here. I figured Clove had talked for long enough and it was time for me to take up the pen. I suppose the next thing that we should tell you about is our first meeting. And that in itself is quite a story.
It was when I was twelve and she was ten. All the kids in my year and hers had been pulled out of regular lessons to the gym for a dancing session. Yes, you read right. Dancing. What? Even District 2 kids can dance. Or not as the case may be.
'Stop moaning!' the teacher yelled over the groans of protest. 'Think about how embarrassed you'll be when you win the Games and can't dance at the Victory parties!' That was all they drummed into our heads back then. When you win. Once you're a Victor. Not if. That was never a possibity. Not that I was bothered however, I'd only been training for a few years but already several of the older boys were wary of me. I could easily beat them in sword play and often in hand-to-hand combat as well. The only problem with being so good

"So where did you run off to? And with who?" Came the snark reply. I sighed. Stupid blondes, so clingy.
"Lilly, Lilly. Calm down sweetie. I'm not anywhere. I'm at my friend's house, you remember um Gakupo right?" I ask. Tch. Lying was so easy. Those mushy girls would believe anything.
"Really? Your not lying are you?" She asked.
"Have I ever lied to you?" I make excuses just as readily as I know how to.
"Okay . . . Hey um Saturday my parents won't be home all night, not until Sunday evening. Do you uh want to spend the night?" She asked nervously. I smiled. It's just the one night stand that I look forward too.

Your wings lie on the ground
You left in such a hurry,
And you didn't make a sound
All was fine and well until
Those rain storms came around.
When you watched the rain descend
From those dark, gloomy skies
You kept that smile on your face
And kept your hopes up high.
But rain fell heavy on your wings
Once, flying made you feel so free
Then pain became your reality...
Soon I noticed that your smile
Was beginning to fade
You thought at first you'd see the sun
For those first few rainy days.
But then your hope began to subside
I saw the tears in your dark eyes
I told you, just don't worry, friend
I swear to you, sun shines again.
The next day, as I walked around
I found your wings on cold, damp ground
I stopped right there, my eyes were wide
I was speechless, so surprised.
You left your gorgeous wings behind
For another life, you soon will find...
Despite that your wings were torn and chipped
The colors showed your hope, and all of it

Another Warning: I do not own Axis powers Hetalia! I claim nothing.

THE KNIGHT FINDS himself running through the ancient corridors of the Kardian basilica. He can hear the echoing cackle of the Graven Witches as they swoop down and swipe at him with their bird-like talons. The Knight is panting and he does not see a way out of this maze. In his hands, he holds a precious crystal that once belonged to his Lord, Magtherion D'Legato, a well-respected aristocrat from the City of Bandine. The Knight is out of options and though the Gods may damn him for breaking his vows, survival becomes his priority. He opens a wound in his chest, quickly carving a hold large enough for the crystal and ignores the fiery pain and gushing fountain of blood that is sprayed over the ground by the force of his rapidly beating heart. In desperation, the Knight slams the crystal shard into his wound and immediately loses consciousness.

Well, it was her own fault. Who in their right mind plucks some one's eyebrows without letting them know?
It was the day of the interviews and I was being primped and preened ready for my public appearance. Augusta and her team of minions were fluttering around in their heels dabbing at me with brushes and the dreaded tweezers. I had my eyes closed as Augusta had insisted but I could feel the swish of material round my ankles and silk brushing my elbows.
However, exciting as it was, my mind was on bigger things than my transformation. The day before had been the day we received our training scores. I had been fourth, so luckily the Gamemakers were still slightly interested as I went in and I'd held their attention all the way through and had ended up with a nine. A good score, I was told confidently by Enobaria and Lucia, and I had even been rewarded with a smile from Brutus. Cato had been given a ten, which was even better, but he'd been wanting
