So I've declared this past week "Hayley gets waaay too invested in Diablo lore" week. I've already scoured every corner of the Wiki and burned through one of the novels set just before Diablo III. Trust me. More fanart will ensue.
All this was brought on because my sister, myself, and two friends played through Diablo III on PS3 recently, and DANG was it a blast! It brought me back to the days of Gauntlet; plowing through zombies and demons, screaming like crazies. Good times.
I usually only play games for their story, and I'll admit that Diablo III's story didn't interest me at first (which changed, obviously, once I started reading up on the lore). Apparently the game is designed to be re-played on progressively higher difficulties, starting over from the beginning of the story. I'm looking forward to it because it's crazy fun to play with friends, but now that I know how the story ends, some things will never be the same...
Which brings me to the picture! The character in red, Leah, is the main NPC you go adventuring with (and if you've seen any of the Cinematics, she's in most of them). But at the end of the game, it turns out she's the vessel through which Diablo returns, gets possessed, and goes all "DESTROY EVERYTHING!" on you. With this knowledge, I can't imagine our party will be able to act natural on our second playthrough...
A cookie to anyone who can guess which of the four characters on the left is my character.
Finally...after being in the downs for the past 2 months I finally got out of it. I figured I started with something light.
Okay, hold it with me:
If somebody was talking to me about cartoon with ponies from 80/90s I'd probably strangle them. But I finally got myself to watch My little Pony: Friendship is Magic since I finally got tired to see what all they hype was about. End result = the show is awesome! XD Once you get past the prejudice thinking of it being a show for little girls. So here we have Pinkie Pie, the most hilarious pony in the series.
Now for the second bit, anyone that's played World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria should be able to recognise this thing; but for those who don't:
Sha are physical manifistations of negative emotional reactions (anger, hatred, violance, doubt, despair and fear) and are the main focus of the current story. There was some talk among the Devs of the game and one of them came up with a joke about there existing the Sha of Happiness. XP
