Dissecting a Hedgehog: An in-depth analysis of Sonic the Hedgehog
Starting in 1991 and going until 1994, Sonic the Hedgehog dazzled audiences with high-speed high-action antics the likes no other videogame hero can provide or has provided since. With each game, Sonic's adventures grew longer, the levels grew more complex, and the graphics got more detailed. But, after 1994, Sonic the Hedgehog all but vanished from the face of gaming -- a character who was king, beating out rivals like Mario in popularity polls and putting countless copycats to shame, began a downward tailspin into the depths of obscurity. The scarce few games that were released bearing the Sonic name that were not, infact Sonic games; instead they were other genres, other games altogether with the Sonic name and characters transplanted in to them.
In 1998, as Sega transitioned out of their 32bit console, the Sega Saturn, they revealed a new console - the Sega Dreamcast, and with it, a brand new Sonic game slated

- Mamo, czym są Anioły? Spytał niegdyś dziesięcioletni synek swoją mamę.
- Aniołowie to stworzenia Boskie, powołane, by służyć i wychwalać Pana Boga wyrecytowała mama wyuczoną na pamięć formułkę.
- A możemy z nimi rozmawiać?

If Only to FlyI once knew a creature with a powerful dreamIf Only to Fly8 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Though little, her heart was too big for its seams
"To fly is my wish, and I just want it so!"
"To glide through the clouds, to freely come and to go!"
Closing her eyes, she dashed up a steep hill
Dreaming of flying, using up all her will
Up through the clouds, doing spirals and more
Spreading her wings further, she started to soar
Btu as she gained altitude, she lost her height
And began to plummet as the sky lost light
Her wings fell apart, the feathers all lost
Her 'flying' was no more, and much it would cost
As the ground rose up to meet her, she closed her eyes tight
And with the impact a soul lost their light
And one of her feathers, so serene and so dear
Drifted down and rested on the tip of her ear
A twitch and a shudder was all she could do
For her light was dying, though her heart still true
As the little fox stilled, I heard her last sigh
"Alas, if only, if only to fly."
I saw her eyes close, and the breath died in her chest

Looking through the glass,
We are happy.
What people can't see,
What people can't hear,
All goes on behind closed doors.

There are no fights,
Only your rules,
I stand alone,
With no defence.
Bruises invisible to the eye,
Cover my skin.
Your hatefull words,
Spill out with no remorse,
No second thought,
You don't care.
You don't listen.
And yet you wonder why,
I refuse to try,
To play along with you.
I'm sick of playing house.
Bending to your rules.
I'm sick of broken promises.
I'm sick of all your lies.
I'm sick of my childish fears.
I'm sick of the dark corners,
That are the only places to hide.

"If this business was easy, it would be a sin."
-Hayao Miyazaki, Animerica Magazine. 1993
Animation is the youngest medium of art that mankind has created. Spanning barely over one hundred years, its history is as rich and dramatic as any other. Starting as the simple idea of an illusion of moving art by a couple clever innovators at Edison's film company in the early 1900's, it soon boomed into a mega-corporate commercial venture that employed thousands and captivated millions only decades later. It spread outside of America and took many different forms in many different countries and cultures. Today, the face of animation is very different than it ever was. Computers, corporate chokeholds and the death of the innovators of animation has left a doubtful future for the preservation of animation's defining age.
The 1910's saw the rise of animation as a serious medium and the first studios began to appear in the United States. Winsor McCay, a masterful draftsman and artist, had

ER: Consequences, Part IThey had been talking - bickering, really. Private Ada Sanger had made an irritated comment about her Unown, Hannah Campbell had retorted. And then everything had gone to hell. Gasps had been heard over the radio; shouts, a screech and a crack that nearly deafened the communications officer listening in HQ. Yelling, and screaming, all undercut by the sound of the bunker groaning and shuddering - and Hannah’s voice somewhere in the middle of it all, resisting the order to leave, forcing her Kirlia to teleport her away from the bunker without her directive.ER: Consequences, Part I2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

It made it difficult when picking up another john, not to mention she simply didn’t like bruising on her neck. Satisfied, she tousled her long platinum blonde hair so it framed her face, then twisted open a cylinder of Fire Engine Red and smeared it across her lips. She could hear shuffling and smiled at the thought of the man on the other side of the door.
While she had several regulars, Babs liked Denny the best. He was always clean and smelled nice. More than that, he always called

Persuasive Essay: Gay MarriageAmerica; the first thing that should come to your mind is a nation of peace and equality. But it's not, is it? We live in a nation of racism, sexism, and homophobia. Homosexuals get the worst of all the unfair treatment. Gays have been fighting for rights since the 1960's, maybe even before then, and yet today in 2010, those pleas for rights go unheard. I believe that we should allow same-sex marriage because banning it is unfair, love is all that matters in marriage, and gay families have certain family values that some straight marriages lack.Persuasive Essay: Gay Marriage5 years ago in Visual Poetry More Like This
Banning an issue doesn't make it go away. The American Constitution states that everyone desverves the same, equal rights -- that inlcludes gay people. So banning same-sex marriage is unconstitutional. Making this issue illegal is also a form of discrimination. Homophobics riducule and abuse gay citizens, and gay teenagers are scared to go to school because of the excessive bullying and teasing. And gays are just being themselves! We are

She has a pencil between her index finger and thumb, and nibbles on the eraser thoughtfully as the rest of the class writes in silence. She has a thin, pretty face and dark hair that dances around her shoulders when she walks. Like every other child in that room, she craves excellence. She wants to be popular. She wants to have friends. Just like everyone else. On the outside, these adolescents are all the same. They are average. To rise to the top, they must push their competitors down. They bully. The snarl at each other and bite at each others' tails. They put their peers down. Now that we're living in the twenty-first century, they have two things to their advantage: cellular phones and the internet. To use these two things to bully is called 'cyber bullying'. Studies show that 43% of today's teens are being cyber bullied. Cyber bullying is just as hurtful as real-life bullying.
