I like small models, easier to find space for them on the shelf!
Just to show how small they really are.

I'm crazy about the Mass Effect Games, so obviously had to make a paper model of the SR1 Normandy.

Imagine making a fist now!

my Build of Uhu02's Fabulous X-Wing is now Complete :) this was challenging and fun in so many ways

for size comparison here is the R2 unit from the back of that model (note the square grid it is sitting on. Those are 1cm grids)

On September 4th, 2012, I made an announcement that I was building a remote controlled Mako from Mass Effect. Exactly 6 months later, it's a reality! It drives and the cannon turns. I'm not able to scale 89 degree walls just yet... that will come in due time.

Measuring 19.5" long, 8" tall, and 7.5" wide. The body is made entirely from craft foam, dremels, and super glue. Used this reference from =Troodon80 for the color scheme. Used this model from ~ThunderChildFTC for the body.

A redo of the original sketch.

This is all the fault of Mr. Weekes, Twitter, Mass Effect, and stylish fedoras.

This is actually about a quarter of the working size, the original of which is getting sent to the showcase. RIGHT on the cutoff date, of course. Woo!

Btw: three background images taken from one screenshot and two official ME wallpapers. I figure they're cool with that, but if not I'll just redraw it later.

Mass Effect (c) Bioware etc.

Again Mass Effect fan art.

I'm not really satisfied with how Banshee came out. She looks... Odd.
But I'm quite satisfied with Rila.

Rila is from Mass Effect, Mass Effect is by BioWare.
And again with help of =Troodon80's references.

Goodnight.

So here's the pattern I used to make these. Not extremely detailed but it gave me the gist of where things need to go. I used the seam on my pants as a starting point so I knew how far to go forward and back and then spellotaped them together to get the full pattern. Added a 1.5cm seam as I cut. The funny line on the front piece is 2.5cm/1inch in and added another 1cm to the front joining seam because there 2 funny seams there. Hope Awesome Photoshop Pictures next to this area explain it. I kept this seam as small as possible as its not an area you want to add bulk to! (At least not as a girl!)

Oh and the top seam, make as much as you need. Mine was 3cm but may still be a bit too much. Better to be safe than sorry.

Also! Measure twice, cut once!

Have fun Marines!

I wanted to do something related with Wrex's return on Tuchanka, that's to say between ME1 and ME2.

That was one of my very first Mass Effect fanart. Wrex is probably my favorite male character in both games.

Wrex and the pyjak are Bioware's.
