Robotic - TGMike stared at the wall. It wasn't a particularly interesting wall. In fact, it could be claimed by some - many - to be a rather boring wall. But it was the only wall Mike had to stare at, and it was mildly less boring than the back of his eyelids. His head being fixed to the opposite wall by metal clamps, along with the rest of his body, he did not have much more choices.Robotic - TG4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"You couldn't you at least get a bloody picture?" he muttered, either to himself or to his capturer. The latter rarely answered, and the former - he hoped - would continue not to do so.
"Pictures interfere with work," Lexi responded. He could stare at her, actually, for short periods of time. She was at the very edge of his vision, and it gave him headaches to do it for too long, but the back of her head was still more interesting than the wall. At least the strands shifted, and there was the barest chance of seeing a lice or something else that he could nitpick on.
The hair itself was blonde and long, trailing the f

"Yeah yeah, I'll go and find one tomorrow. I'm taking a nice glass of wine now.", Gisela replied, hoping her roommate would forget her promise. She didn't know her roommate woke her at nine-ish the next morning to have Gisela go out into the city. She herself went to her own office on the 23rd floor inside the large metropole
Gisela grabbed her bike at eleven and was pedalling towards the city, when she saw a factory. She hadn't seen it before, so she went closer. A note on the window said: "Looking for pat employees", with "pat" having a large strike in it, as if the maker made a spelling mistake.
"Well, this is nice, it's close to home - worth a try. I'm going to meet the owner, I think. She rang the bell and not much later she entered the factory. She shook hands with the owner and walked towards a big room which was strangely decorated, a chair right in the

Arghhh! she finally managed to blurt out in frustration. The last thing she remembered was adjusting the power source voltage to increase the prototypes range. A surge must have overloaded the internal containment system, melting down the core.
Sore and bruised from the explosion, a cold feeling spread across her hips and lower stomach. She felt almost bloated her body strained against her clothing. Was she growing? Ugh I dont feel very good. Carla staggered across the lab floor a little bit, before stopping in her tracks. A rigid, heavy feeling spread across her hips. Her clothes started to rip, finally shredding to pieces as her hips

"To death?!" Jake repeats.
"Did I stutter?" I say sarcastically and walk passed him. "How do we open the portal?"
"Well," PB steps in. "I really think you should think about this carefully, Marceline. I mean what if the price is too great to pay?" She looks at me thoughtfully. I sigh.
"I know Bubblegum, but I've got to do this," I look back to Jake. "How do we open the portal?"
"Well, we have to hold hands and look at where the two walls meet while crossing our eyes," Jake instructs.
"Ok," I say and walk towards the corner of the room. "I'll be back." I say and both pull me away. "Ugh, What the flip?!"
"We're going with you or you're not going at all!" PB says.
"Ughh, fine! Whatever!" I say and roughly grab their hands and look at where the two walls meet. A portal opens and we all step inside.
"Alright, hop aboard!" Jake says and PB gets on his back.
"I'll, uh, float," I say and go ahead of them. We reach the gate to the underworld and the gate keeper.

"What is this?" you ask in shock.
"It's a control collar, dear. I heard your suggestion and decided it was about time I got a second maid, so here you are."
"But I don't want to be your maid! I just wanted to help out a little."
"I'm afraid you don't have a choice that collar is irremovable and forces you to obey my every command. Now go with Natalia to a dressing room and get a proper uniform."
You try to shout at her and flee but find yourself muttering "Yes mistress" and following your new partner. You arrive in a small room with a walk-in closet and Natalia digs out a maid uniform. Before you can stop yourself you have stripped and grabbed the frilly rubber dress. Lamenting the l

It's never easy being a werewolf.
I've always been a loner, ever since I was bitten as a ten-year-old kid. No one in my family knew I was a werewolf, and I kept it hidden well. And once I was out of high school, I basically went on my own, living my own life, away from control-freak parents. I traveled a lot, visited a lot of places, but I tried to stay away from people, given my nature. I was in full control of my power, but still, I didn't want to risk an innocent person suffering the same thing I did.
Being a werewolf was nothing like what mythology said. A lot of what the books and modern fiction said was utter nonsense. First, I wasn't vulnerable to silver; I could touch it without being burned or poisoned. What I really had to avoid was a derivative compound of silver, called silver nitrate, which burned me on contact. Second, I didn't undergo an involuntary change at the full moon. Third, wolfs-bane actually served as a catalyst for healing fro

He'd lost count of how many times he'd dreamt of the white wolf. After three months and well over five-hundred dollars wasted on fake psychics and palm-readers, he was still no closer to finding out what it meant. He sighed deeply and covered his face with his hands.
Reluctantly he peeked through his fingers at his alarm clock.
Letting out a groan, he fell back to the pillows. He'd have to get up for work at the diner soon.
It was a dead-end job and everyone there -- even his boss -- was afraid of him, but the meager paychecks kept the landlord off his back. That was the only reason he kept showing up.
As he showered and got dressed, his mind drifted to his former pack; the family he'd left behind. He remembered vividly the tears in his mother's eyes and the angry disappointment on his father's face as he'd told them his

"Father, is that really how you met Mother?" Nukluk, the eldest of our pups posed the question while Fera, our youngest, pounced on my swooshing tail. I could feel a few jabs of pain as she dug her teeth into my poor tail. I winced. Jasmine pulled Fera away gently by the scruff of her neck. Holding the small pup barely three winters old, Jasmine gave a sigh of exasperation, but smiled all the same.
"Fera, what are we going to do with you?" The small wolf gave a quiet yip and fell asleep in her mother's arms. Jasmine held her daughter close to her chest and cradled her softly. Watching the display of affection, I smiled. My heart was bursting with happiness. I'm going to have four amazing children, the best mate a wolf could ever ask for, and a supporting pack. Rise of the TranshumansThe last battle for equal rights won't be for racial equality;Rise of the Transhumans3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
It won't be for gender equality;
Not for sexual or gender orientation;
It will be a battle between two species:
Humans and Transhumans.
Unlike the other battles for equality, this one will be more than figurative;
It will take a great expense of blood
And in all likelihood result in the eventual extinction of the human race.
That's how dominant species function,
As one rises the other must logically fall
Transhumans will be smarter, stronger, and more capable than humans
Humans will eventually stop being the masters of their own planet
Transhumans will take the jobs of the elites, and outperform their human counterparts
Humans will respond, violently as usual
But they will loose.
What may start as a quest for equality for by both
Will end with the extinction of one.

I have confessed under the torture. I knew that it would seal my fate, but I could not stand the pain any more. I shiver and tremble as the memories of the unspeakable things they had done to me come back: Their cold hands and fingers touching my body everywhere in search for the mark. As they did not find anything to prove my guilt, they had started to hurt me for a confession. They stab needles in my birthmarks, beat me with sticks and the whip. What followed was the torment on the rack, tearing and stretching my fragile body until I passed out from the pain. The chair with its sharp metal spikes, the screws that crushed my fingers and toe

Behind the Captain's throne, a door slithered open. The captain paid it no heed, keeping his red eye very patiently on the view screen as he had done for the past several hours. Out there, as in here, all was velvet, with the occasional blinking light.
"Captain," a voice said from the darkness to his right, "the alien vessel is entering the system."
"Let us see it," he ordered, and so it was done. On the screen, a storm cloud appeared, and from it emerged a long, sword-shaped object. Numerous scanning instruments and gun emplacements adorned the surface. Moving his hand over a ball embedded in the arm of his chair, the captain moved the view in closer so he could read the name of the gothic cruiser as it slipped out of hyperspace.
"A Federation battle cruiser," he noted, "ISS Thunderchild."
"What do we do, captain?"
"What is its course?" The captain asked back. The view screen changed, showing several dotted lines plotting the courses of
