I'm still in love with winterscenes. I actually couldn't decide what version I like more, which is why I added both to the zip file, so the decision is up to you. The first version without interface and binoculars can be seen here. Only own stocks and resources have been used.
I hope you like it. A bit of a different point of view this time.
My last volcano was not satisfying and I decided to give it another try. I combined it with a scene I always wanted to do: a Winter-Summer combinations. The image is working as intended with dual-screen settings only (widescreen).
As a tribute for my most popular picture The Rise of a Planet that recently hit 6.000 favs I came up with this scene. The image is also part of The Luminarium's latest exhibition called Gaia (www.theluminarium.net). My girlfriend helped me a lot with suggestions during the work.
Inspired by the visit of Fortress Königstein near Dresden I decided to create a medival scene. The picture is showing an early stage of an upcoming battle/siege. The only two soldiers on the wall are just checking out the distance. Own stocks and textures from cgtextures.com have been used. Little making-of on gtgraphics.de.
The base stock is an early morning panorama photo of my hometown Dresden. I always wanted to give it a futuristic look and that is why I gave it a try (and besides the larger planet this might become reality one day). Fence from cgtextures.com.
A different attempt this time for a close up planet. I kinda like the result. The picture is available as dual screen wallpaper for widescreen resolution (if you have another setup, just crop it to your liking).
