Jim Hawkins walked along the edge of the shore, kicking a small rock into the water in frustration. Things in his life were not going well. He had just suffered through another lecture from his mother about his dropping grades.
He didn't mean for his grades to be so low, but he just didn't see the point in school anymore. Nothing really seemed to matter. The only time he felt there was any meaning in life was when he was solar surfing. Unfortunately, he was grounded from using it at the moment, so he had to find another way to escape. Walking along the shore of a secluded beach was somewhat peaceful, and it gave him a chance to think and clear his mind.
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a noise up ahead. He couldn't really identify what it was, but it sounded like something, or someone, was struggling. He thought he heard the whimper of a girl.
He cautiously walked towards a cluster of rocks which blocked his view. He peeked around one of them and gasped.

She got along with the team [mostly]. Just because she likes to spend some time alone with her thoughts doesn't make her secretive, or dangerous. Wally seemed to think that, though.
Why did he constantly have to annoy the crap out of her!? He just needed to suck it up and accept Roy's decision. But no. He just had to take it out on her. Every. Day.
But the dancing did help. She was in the worst of moods, especially since she totally screwed up the last mission. Let the target get away and got a nice, six-inch gash between her shoulder blades to commemorate her wonderful contributions to the team.
And the second Batman left, Wally wouldn't shut his mouth.
The vicious words turned to vicious screams, and then, just like that, she couldn't take it anymore. She snapped.
Wally certainly didn't expect it when Artemis knocked him in the gut. After that, she left, Wally on the floor writhing i

She lived with her father, her stepmother, and her two stepsisters in a run-down old mansion that had seen better days. But that was before her father, Lord Inoue, turned to drink and married a woman who cared only for money, status, and clothing. Her older brother, Sora, had been killed by bandits nine years ago and left her without a protector. Ever since then, her stepmother had treated her like a servant and made her do all the household work. Her father was usually too drunk to protest.

Story by Orion Petitclerc
During another battle between Spider-Man and his greatest nemesis, Venoms symbiote had divided itself and bonded with Spidey once more, and from that point on nothing was the same. Venom learned how to harness the ability of copying his symbiote, and soon Manhattan was overrun by a symbiote invasion. S.H.I.E.L.D., lead by Black Widow, quickly quarantined the island and began their task of taking back New York City from the bestial invaders. Spidey and a few other concerned heroes assisted S.H.I.E.L.D. in their mission, but in the end the darkness took control and Spider-Man destroyed the device that would have changed the tide of the war and became the ruler of his own KINGDOM of symbiotes alongside the beautiful-but-deadly Black Cat.

Souls scattered like leaves upon the fields of the dead as their God walked amongst them. Somber and cold, he was called Hades and he was the Lord of the dead. So feared by mortals that even his name was not mention, for they believed that just that might bring his attention to them and he would call for Hermes to bring them to the underworld. He was the richest of all the Gods, as all treasures of the underground and soil were his but his riches meant little for there was no one to share these things with.
As other Gods were praised he was loathed, only the dead would keep him company and only the greedy ferryman, Charon, would speak to him. As he walked he could here the laughter of the Goddess Demeter and her Nymphs in Olympus and of course the laughter of lovely little Persephone. There were those in this world with lives far worst then her own, why should she cry over something as simple as a man, and a death that had been forgotten by everyone else.
