Similar Deviations
Every time I finished a design, I though of new ideas or ways of improving parts or the overall design and so I sketched out and coloured this to replace the Mirage Space Type. Continuing the white, I had a lot of fun with this design. Again I can think of a lot of ways to improve this though I am still happy with the results.

The second in the Mirage series of Mecha designs. Also done with pencil crayon, this design was supposed to be a ground based mecha as opposed to aquatic or space.

Well, I decided to colour both versions after all. It's not something I'll be doing again any time soon. This is the MDG Culverin with weapons stored. The weapons deployed version can be found here - [link]

I hope to start working on the wallpaper soon so as to keep with the rest of the MDG series. The WIP name/class of the Culverin is a Multi-Limb Battleship. Similar to a Mobile Armour from Gundam, the Culverin is much larger in size to other mecha like the Phantom [link] or Archer [link] & would sport a name similar to a ship. While more than a match for any mech already in survice, the primary role of this particular design is to hide amongst asteroid or debris fields and attack shipping lines, base ships & other larger support craft, similar to a WWII submarine. Most space bound mecha launch from and require base ships where as the Culverin is a ship onto itself despite it's appearances.

Well this is another pic that should have been finished ages ago and I think I know why I procrastinate so much with these BG's (I think they're cursed) I seem to have the worst luck when I'm working on one.

After designing the Mirage GT, I thought I should design a specific space variant. This was the first time I used white as the primary colour and I love how it turned out. My light source seems to change location concerning the shadows here and there but overall, I am quite happy with the results. Again, pencil crayons were the primary medium.

Taking a break from the Mirage series, I wanted to try another design though still stick to mecha so this was the result. It was coloured with pencil crayons and inked for better visibility. I originally tried to design it to transform into a simpler shape like a torpedo or missle shape for easier storage/launching.

Well I apologize for the size for those with slow connections. I'm not sure if this is the colour scheme I'll finish with but it's a good one to show none the less. I still want to throw on a few decals and last minute touch-ups but she's almost done. The final image will no doubt have a detailed BG to accompany it and will be a while be for I post it.

To explain a little about the design, without going into too much detail, I wanted this vehicle to be a close quarters combat vehicle & so I decided to incorporate the beam sabre directly into the hand to shorten draw time. The main armaments (Depending on design) would be folded back, just underneath & between the body and shoulders as a part of a second set of limbs.

Not much to say about this one since it's the 3rd incarnation of this BG but I resubmitted it because there have been some minor changes added to match another image I'm submitting to keep a certain theme/style.

Changes include a thicker outline for the full view mech (which I'm not sure I like or not after all), the BG head has it's sensor eyes lit up with glow now, the missing decals have been added & the name description has been changed slightly.

I don't usually do this but I'm having a hard time deciding on a paint scheme for my MDG Phantom deign so I thought I'd post this and get some feedback or suggestions for some possible designs. I'm hoping to have it shaded soon and then I'll work on a simple BG design.

I don't imagine I'll keep this up long. I just wanted to prove I'm not dead yet and still working on stuff. I have a new scanner computer but its going back to the shop (again) so work will continue to be delayed : [
